MEIDL HONDA Saskatoon- my advice-NEVER GO THERE!!!! Ever!!! We purchased a used jeep privately, which had warranty still on it. We had a pre-purchase inspection done(not Meidl) The inspection found an intake manifold gasket leak. We checked with warranty company. As it was covered and that was all found wrong, we bought the jeep. We took the jeep to meidl honda to have it fixed. (Took it there only as the previous owner had taken it there for oil changes, fluid services) Meidl honda absolutely screwed us out of our warranty! Meidl honda told the warranty company that it was not leaking (just moist!). Warranty stated if not leaking, not covered. I have the paperwork from pre-purchase stating it had bad leak. I have paperwork from meidl honda saying it did not have leak-and actually wrote it was just moist! Meidl called me and said that it was not leaking, and that their mechanic told warranty theres no leak.so warranty said not covered if not leaking. Meidl actually said theyd keep an eye on it every oil change and then fix it later! However meidl said, they found a window switch could use replacing.warranty would cover it. Meidl, "Should we go ahead and order the switch?" I absolutely could not believe it. Said no! (Do switch for 200.00 warranty deductible -but not manifold?! Watch manifold!!!! Then go in another time for it to get fixed 200.00 deductible!!!!!) Or do the leaking manifold! And switch! One deductible! One service visit! I picked my jeep up. I drove directly to another company. I told them what happened. They performed an inspection and compression tests. Stated it was leaking! They called warranty, and called warranty - Finally warranty had enough proof from them and original pre-purchase inspection..they covered manifold leak. Warranty stated, however, Meidl honda had already made a claim for window switch!!!!! (Is this even legal?!) As Meidl had already claimed it, they would not cover it. We have spent the last month waiting while the other auto place was trying to get warranty for the leak! Switch cannot be covered now!-because meidl honda put in a claim for it!!!!!!!!! The jeep needed full flush, multiple seals, oil changed,gasket,ect..all due to an intake manifold that meidl honda said was Moist!!!!! Meidl screwed us over. Again, My advice, Do not ever go to Meidl Honda!

I brought my Pilot in to have the A/C fixed in August 2013 paid $360.00 to re-charge and add a dye to detect for leaks. The following spring when the weather warmed up I noticed the A/C wasnt working. Brought the car back they noticed a pipe had a hole in it and a laundry list of other things they suggested fixing, one of which was the brakes which I did. When I went to pay my bill they charged me $377.00 labor for the A/C plus $183.00 for the hose and $50.00 for the freon. I asked them how much of the labor was for the second recharge and they said $173.00. I explained to them that I didnt think I should have to pay twice for them to recharge my A/C. Anyways long story short I got in a pretty heated argument with the service manager who was really big a** and unwilling to budge on anything explaining all the reasons why its my fault it leaked freon twice and that they have to pay their techs and that they cant do work for free and yadda yadda yadda, I was so upset I played the card I hate to play, I told him I own two Hondas which I do, and that most of my friends own Hondas and I will never comeback or suggest that any of them come here. At hearing this the used car manager stepped in got all the details in 15 seconds offered me $100.00 off the labor of the second recharge I was like sounds good paid up my bill on the spot which was about $1000.00 including the brakes. Ill now take my car down the street and get the rest of the maintenance they suggested done. Honestly where is the customer service these days, they guy had in front of him that I paid $400.00 less than a year ago to not fix my problem and has the nerve to basically say too bad we didnt fix it, its not our problem its yours and he kept saying thats industry standards. Industry standards is to screw the customer. Never going back, Ill try somewhere else next time. I do tip my hat to the used car manager though he had half a sense of whats reasonable. sorry for the long review/rant

We have had our fair share of poor car salesmen, so we were pleasantly surprised to find a hidden gem at Meidl Honda. Right from the beginning, Benson McCulloch impressed us by greeting us in the parking lot immediately after we started looking around. He took care of us through the entire sales process and even after the purchase when most sales people would pass you off to another department. Benson was very patient as we test drove vehicles several times and was genuinely interested in helping us find a vehicle to meet our needs. He never pushed us towards a particular vehicle, but allowed us to make our decision on our own time. We found him to be honest and were very impressed that he went beyond our expectations to find answers to our questions and get us assistance when required after the sale. The bonus is that he is a genuinely nice guy and has a great sense of humour. We would gladly refer any family or friends to him for a vehicle purchase. Bill & Marie

I wish I had read reviews before going to Meidle Honda. They are bunch of liars who try to rip off your hard earn money. I had horrible experience dealing with their sales persons and manager. First they overstated the price and then gave me "discount". They didnt tell me the exact rate of interest they were going to charge. They told me that interest rate would be approximately 2.99 %. I called next day and they told me that they were going to charge me 7% because they gave me cash discount. I called their manager and even he couldnt justify the overstated price and interest rate rather he threatened me to finalize the deal. I asked why they didnt explain me everything and he said that he is explaining it now. He didnt refund my $ 500. I lost my hard earned $500 but learned my lesson in hard way. I am going to email Honda Canada as well as they must do something for loyal Honda users who go to Meidle Honda and get ripped off by these monsters.

Brought in a battery that was 8 months old that was bought from Meidl Honda in February and I had the receipt. At first they wanted to charge me a $20 fee just to check out the battery no matter the outcome. They kept the battery overnight and then said it tested fine, waived the $20 charge and that the problem was with my Civic. I left the battery out of the vehicle overnight at a +2C night and it dropped to 12.4 volts and would not start the vehicle. I returned with the battery and the service just got worse from there. They had the battery for another 4 days and after dealing with some rude staff and 3 phone calls and a wait of 30 mins after arriving to pick it up they said the battery was fine. I left the dealership with the battery because I have went 6 days without the car, went and bought a battery from Costco and the car starts fine everytime. If this how they deal with a small problem I will not trust them with a real problem.
