First off, I should explain the single star because the level of service I received in my recent purchase of a vehicle at Mainway was 5-star exceptional. Used Car Sales Manager Tray Crowter went out of his way to help me find the right vehicle at the right price with the right features. Business manager Aaron Mead was helpful 1000% professional as she dealt with all of the paperwork. The vehicle I purchased was delivered clean and in impeccable condition. So ... why the one star? Because I just spent $19K at the dealership and the dealership apparently, have a policy of not filling up the tank with gas on the purchase of a used vehicle. That, folks, is called C-H-E-A-P. And Ill tell you something, I came very close to telling Tray that I was going to back out of the deal ... over a measly tank of gas. And this is something the Meidl group (who owns Mainway Mazda and Meidl Honda) should bear in mind: the optics of not filling up the tank with gas on the purchase of a used vehicle are terrible. In a business where you live and die on customer referrals in a lot of cases, it is fundamentally disrespectful to consumers when you cheap out like that. It really is. So, now all I can say is Meidl group? You just lost a deal when my wife replaces her car next year. Were going to go to the Mazda dealer in Prince Albert or Regina to buy my wifes next car. And on the service side, Im going to take my vehicle that I just spent $19K on that Meidl group wouldnt fill up with gas and get it serviced at a different dealership. How embarrassing it must be for your staff, Meidl group, to have to explain to people when they take delivery of the car that, oh, yeah ... no gas because you bought used today. I really felt bad for Tray who worked hard to put together a good deal for me because this policy is CHEAP. Massively CHEAP. Unbelievably CHEAP. So folks ... if youre buying used at Mainway, make sure you insist they fill up the tank with gas. Its a small thing, sure, but its really @#$% stupid and insulting to folks who spend twenty grand on something only to find the dealership is too cheap to fill the goddamned tank. Unreal. ***UPDATE AS I SEE THE DEALERSHIP HAS REPLIED TO MY REVIEW*** I see Mainway Mazda has replied to my review by asking me to call. And yet they have been still too cheap to fill my vehicle with gas. Could have just said, "were sorry - please pop by the dealership for our apology and a voucher for $50 of gas* But no ... I have to call them.

Had a very poor experience at this dealership last month! The sales rep was very good explained the car very well, took us out for a good test drive and was very knowledgeable about the car itself! We were buying the mazda cx-5 which we loved and still love! The parts that really bothered me was the actual buying of the car. We dealt with Rob who must be the sales manager because he went through all the signing of the papers and asking how were paying. I found Rob extremely rude, he was very pushy on the after products like warranty and paint protection and all the other optional things. He stated they werent that much money and made a comment that "with my girlfriends salary she should have no problem paying the extra money"! For me that is an extremely rude and invasive comment to make, you have no right to say things like that! We stated three times we didnt want the extended warranty and protection plans and he still pestered us about it until she finally agreed to take the protection plan and extended warranty. Very unprofessional in my opinion. Instead of trying to pull every last penny from people let them decide on what they would like to do without pestering them about it! Why not let your product speak for itself like the sales rep did for the car!! On top of that experience she had traded in her car to mazda with the winter tires on it and wed agreed on them changing the winters off and putting the summers back on and us keeping the winters to sell them! They were supposed to do this immediately but didnt and we emailed and called them about the matter but never got back to us! So i went down there one day after a month of trying to get them and asked for them back to find out that they were ready to be picked up but we were never told! So very disappointed in the experience! When buying a car you would like to walk away happy and consider buying another car there but not us! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CAR THERE!!!

I am a new comer to the country and was in a hunt for a decent car. I’ve visited all the major dealerships in Saskatoon, and talked and test-driven a lot of cars. The only honest salesperson I’ve met was Ryan Derksen from Mazda. He was the only one to tell me that submitting an application to the bank actually might hurt my credit score. So unless I am sure that I want a Mazda, there was no need to contact the bank. Despite that, he explained every single thing about the car, and he was the only salesperson to give me an estimate of what I’ll be paying on monthly installments given different down payment scenarios. He did that without having to submit an application to any bank. All other salespersons submitted applications and wouldn’t tell me that it will affect me, and without giving me an estimate of my payments claiming that they couldn’t do so, and this information would only be available once a bank approves the financing, to lure me into accepting them submitting the application. Ryan was also the most knowledgeable of his vehicles. He explained every single feature and had answers to all my questions. After talking for an hour about the vehicle and explaining all aspects of the deal, he took me to a long test-drive explaining everything about the driving experience while I was driving. In the end, I did not buy a Mazda, because it was over my budget. But I had to write this review because this guy deserves a 5 stars for his honesty, professionalism and customer service. For this superior and rare experience, I would do my best to get my next car from Mazda.

I owned my second Mazda and super loving it! Their cars are reliable and super fuel efficient skyactive!!! (Trust me!) I love the "zoom-zoom" feeling and elegant looking of the exteriors and interiors of their cars! My uncle purchased his Mazda 6 GT V6 in 2005 (i think) with them and highly recommended to us! My husband bought his SUV with them in 2012 and mine was 2015. My first time to purchase my own vehicle at this local branch. We were taken care so much by Ryan and understood what I can only afford and need in the car. I asked a lot of questions and he was so honest and patient with his answers. Unlike the other dealership we went to felt intimated and pushy into buying their vehicles. And I hate that feeling! Mazdas (sales and maintenance dept.) customer service is outstanding! I highly recommend purchasing your next vehicle at this local dealership in Saskatoon!!!

The Wife and I came in to trade out of our 2014 Chevrolet Equinox, and into a new Mazda CX-5 or CX-9. Bren Hardy showed us both, new and used of both models, and you could tell this man has been trained well. He knew where all the bells and whistles were in every model, and explained them all in detail. When it came down to numbers, they were very fair. Unfortunately, we didnt end up trading as Regina Motor Products built too much into our Equinox that it made no sense to put even more negative into another new vehicle. Of course Bren could have taken the sale right there as he was still able to build a deal with a lender into a new CX-5, but in good conscience he didnt pressure us to make such a rush decision. When we have fully paid off our "upside down" finance in a couple years, we will be looking to Bren and Mainway Mazda for our next family vehicle.
