I would not trust this automotive shop for anything. I just recently moved into the province and I needed a safety inspection on a 2003 Mazda. So I brought it here to get it done. After the inspection they said it would be almost $3000 to fix the mechanical problems to pass safety. They basically tried to charge me for every little thing. They even went to the point in saying because my back tires were not the same brand they would have to be replaced to pass safety even though they are the same size and rating. I did not believe it so a couple days later I took it to two other shops to get some quotes on the work to be done. Both other shops quoted around $1200 to fix everything needed to pass a safety inspection. That is less than half of what this shop was asking for. I am so glad I got some second opinions. Because of this I would not trust this shop at all and looks like they are just trying to scam people for not needed work. I will actively tell people to avoid this shop. Go anywhere else but here. Edit because it wont let me reply: I think you miss understand. I paid for a whole new inspection at two other shops and have the SGI inspection forms to prove it. Both other shops said that I did not nearly need as much to be replaced to pass the inspection. Yes both shops noted the rust but you basically said I needed lots more suspension and exhaust work than the other shops have stated. For just the mechanical work you were twice the price. And you said you could do nothing about the rust so why is it a factor in your cost. So either two other shops are doing inspections wrong or you are just taking advantage of your customers. I still believe you were trying to take advantage of me and rip me off.

I brought my car in for a inspection which I paid $300 for. It was making a rattling noise from the engine which I wanted fixed. They went over the car. Tightened lifters/valves and tuned the vehicle. Fixed several gaskets they said were leaking. Ended up costing around $1800. The noise was still there. I carried on thinking the car was better. A few months later my car misfired. I brought it there. The spark plug head fell into my cylinder and was crushed up and spit out thru the valve train and exhaust. It scarred the cylinder walls and my car burned oil after that. I spoke with the owner at the time. Their $300 top of the line inspection does not cover all the spark plugs just a couple he said. They apologized and reset the check engine light symbol. And i ended up putting in new spark plugs myself after. My trust was broken. There was also no offer of monetary compensation or any offer of future discount or anything. I trusted this place because of many positive reviews. I do not like how the whole situation was handled in the end However they are were honest about what happened. Guess thats a plus.

Took our Ford fF50 in for an inspection knowing that it needed the rear brakes and shocks done. After inspection service advisor also said it needed left front outer tie rod replaced and some more insignificant items. The quote they gave me was about 2700 dollars. Seemed quite high so did not let them proceed with repairs. Took the vehicle to a local competitor that charged by the hour. I also made sure that parts were of equal or better quality that had been quoted at Crestview. The parts came in at half of what was quoted by Crestview. The labor came in at 60% less than Crestview. The total bill was over 1200 dollars less. Work was done by journeyman mechanic at a reputable shop. It was a headache having to pick the truck up and take it to a different shop but was well worth it. This business will gouge unsuspecting customers. As always its buyer beware. They seemed friendly and knowledgeable and I am sure the work they do there is satisfactory. Would only recommend this shop if price is not a consideration.

EXPENSIVE. I wanted my squeaky brakes assessed, so I agreed to a $120 diagnostic fee. Which was ok. After they called me with their recommendations, I decided I just needed the front brake pads replaced. The price they quoted me was $575 (including the diagnostic fee); they said they needed to machine the rotors and whatnot, as well. I asked what they would charge to JUST replace the pads and they said they could maybe go down to $530. I contacted Keith and Herb down the street, and they said they could replace the pads for only $210! So I paid the $120 and left. I did get a car-wash out of the deal... and an update on my fluid levels. But, I would have preferred an option to pay less for a bare-bones service. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable (Im sure they do good work). BUT, if youre on a budget look elsewhere.

I recently took my car to Crestview for some repairs. I spent $969, which was about $150 above the quote they gave me. I wasnt too concerned about that, paid and went home. As far as I can tell, they did a fine job with the repairs. Unfortunately, when I got home, I noticed someone had seriously damaged my passenger door. I took the car back in to show them the damage and long story short, they are not willing to accept any responsibility. I know without a doubt the damage happened at Crestview but since Im unable to prove it, theres nothing more I can do. I am very disappointed with the outcome of this situation.

We went to get a safety inspection for our car. Among other things, we were told that the rear struts needed to be replaced and that this was something that had to be done within the next 3 months. We took our car to Toyota where they did the inspection and they told us that the rear struts were perfectly fine. I cant help but wonder whether the other mechanical problems that we paid to fix actually needed to be fixed. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I am a long time customer (15 yrs+) of Crestview and can say without a doubt the service at Crestview is outstanding. The service technicians are very well qualified and the customer staff are friendly and really do a great job of explaining the work done and the work that should be done. Estimates are always accurate. I am very proud of my 2004 Prius that has now over 400,000 Km on it and running like a clock - why? Because of the folks at Crestview!!!

I stopped in Crestview Auto Service to see what options they had for winter tires and Don was very helpful. I had no idea that there were so many different things to consider when buying winter tires. I am glad I stopped in and now feel I can make the best decision based on what I use my vehicle for and will have my appointment to put on my tires before the snow falls. Definitely recommend talking to them about tires!

I have taken a few of my vehicles to Crestview. They are very straight up and professional in what they do. It is easy to get upset over a big bill for maintenance or repairs on a vehicle but everyone needs to understand thats a part of owning one. Crestview has made my experiences as painless as possible. They are very thorough with everything and they even wash and clean your vehicle when they are done!
