Princess Auto is like a Canadian harbour Freight which is a good thing and a bad thing. Its great if youre interested in browsing around and finding something you might have been looking for. You can even occasionally get a great deal. However a large portion of the things in the store are not the highest quality. Nor are they necessarily even a good deal. Some things are straight-up a ripoff. You really need to know what youre buying, whether its a once-time-use tool or an empty ammo can. Buyer beware. Also, be forewarned that sometimes the warranties on products are not offered to Canadians despite being sold here.

Princess Auto is a great place to buy simple tools like screwdrivers and basic shop tools. Before buying more complex tools Id double-check the packaging of the item to make sure its not been used and returned. They seem to restock shelves with used/damaged stuff. Some of the tools they sell concern safety, like lifts and stands. When buying these, you want to be dam sure that you got an unused product.

Princess auto is great, although I still sometimes have a hard time finding stuff. The layout isnt the most logical. However, their sales make up for it! They also allow rainchecks on sale items that sell out.

I enjoy walking the aisles seeing what new and interesting things they have. My only complaint is about their pricing, sometimes it is higher than the competitors.

You can find some killer deals here and the customer service is solid. Just be prepared to look around a bit before you find what you are looking for.
