I have used this location since 3 years to change my summer tires to winter tires and vice versa. I have also used their services for an occasional wheel alignment. I think the service has deteriorated this year. Earlier in spring, I was told that it was "illegal" to put back rear summer tires as they were worn out. Moreover, they tried to sell me 4 new tires, even though my front tires were apparently okay. I refused and changed the tires myself. Later in the summer I thought I would give them another chance and took my car to get my wheels aligned. They ended up charging me extra for re-tightening the apparently "over-tightened" lug nuts. They did not inform me of the charge ahead of time, and more curiously, itemized the charge for wheel rotation. I drive a car with a larger set of rear wheels and you cannot rotate the tires. When I questioned them about this, their answer was that the charge is appropriate, but they simply itemized it incorrectly. This branch of Kal Tire seems ready to mislead customers into spending hundreds of dollars unnecessarily, and to unabashedly overcharge. I am taking my business elsewhere.

Well not good at all. My wifes co-worker took her car in to this KAL Tire location for a flat repair and left the car with them. She came back later that day paid for the repair then upon driving home the tire & wheel that was repaired came loose and destroyed the stud holes. She then contacted the store and was told that it must be due to a faulty wheel and it could not possibly be because they forgot ot tighten her wheel nuts. On Monday she took her car to the dealership to order another wheel for $ 500.00 when the dealership looked at her wheel the first thing they said was who forgot to tighten the lug nuts? After many calls to this KAL Tire Store she has not made any progress. Smarten up KAL Tire and admit to your mistake, anyone reading this would know your worker forgot to finish the job and you are trying to duck responsibilty. Buy her the wheel & install it for no charge. Mike Sr. 36 years in the tire business.

Over the last couple of years, Ive sent a significant number of my clients here for tires. Never again. My wife went in to ask to use an air hose to fill up a low tire, and got the Hard-sell, "Oh it might blow up in our faces!!! You need a new set of tires!" "Youre going to die if you try to drive on this tire!" After my wife swapped the tire to the spare, another shop was able to repair a shingle-nail in the centre of the tread in 20 minutes. "No damage to the tire, Should swap to summer tires soon." Good job leaning on the 52" blonde. Bet you thought she was an easy mark, eh? Nice try, she knows her way around a wrench. No referrals from me or my company ever again. Im honestly ashamed and saddened that I ever recommended them to anyone.

1st time there I booked a 2pm appointment for winter tires to be put on. When I showed up they said I had no appointment, that I was down to drop the vehicle off for the day. I said no, I had a specific time. After giving me excuses that made no sense, they fit me in, but I had to sit there for over an hour. 2nd time I had several things that needed done, so I dropped off in the am. I said I would be back at 5:30 to get the vehicle. If they werent done Id bring it back another day. I showed up at 5:30 and watched the vehicle enter the service bay while I was in line. They had to go and get it and bring it to me. The guy was so stressed by the volume of vehicles they had accepted that he just rattled on like it wasnt their fault.

I recently purchased a set of 4 new rims and one of them had a factory defect which was noticed after they were installed. The crew at Kal Tire immediately ordered a new rim to replace it. Once it arrived they called me to come in and have it swapped out. When I arrive to drop off my vehicle they remembered my name which showed they cared about their customers. When I came back to pick it up that night a new team member served me and as soon as I told him my name he knew which vehicle I was there for and he came out with me to double check the new rim. They all wanted to make sure my experience was easy and enjoyable. They were all very friendly and attentive. Great place to deal with. Robert

This is one amazing place. Staff that is enthusiastic, well mannered, and knowledgeable. Kerry has done one hell of a job putting together a team he can be proud of. Well done. Ive used Kal tire for the past 10 years and this shop is a glowing example of exactly why. Can I find things cheaper elsewhere. No doubt. Can I get the follow up, support, product backing, assistance, and answers elsewhere. No. Simple. Kal Tire knows what theyre doing and does it well and guess what, with a smile. From brakes, suspension to summer and winter tires, Kal is tops in my book. Thanks guys.

I left my car over the long May 2015 weekend to get a puncture fixed. Kal Tire on Victoria (635 University Park Drive) have refused to fix it, saying that tread was gone, pushing me to replace 2 tires, and recommending to replace all 4, one expensive puncture I have to say. Grahams at 3010 Albert St N had it fixed for cad 20. Unfortunately Kal did not even suggest on putting a spare wheel for me, which as a woman I did not think of at the time. Im very dissapointed with the service I experienced. Hopefully in general they are much better than that.

Took my truck in to have service work done , had coffee, spoke with staff as they came by to see how I was. Great staff, Stuart was my service rep. The service industry needs more people like him, hes friendly, helpful and always there with a smile on. My truck was serviced and at a very reasonable price, and below the quote Will take both my vehicles there for service , I rate this branch 10/10

Me and friend went in to look at tires stood around for about 10 min before staff even acknowledge us...then told they would be right with us....we said ok and took a seat....another 10 min went by...just assumed they where really busy with paperwork or something. 2 guys walked in and got help right away. We just left after that because I guess they didnt want our business

Have ultra expensive tires that I bought from Kal Tire that have "Free Flat Repair"...well, after losing my car for the entire day and having to cough up cab fair - my "Free Flat Repair" is hovering in at the $40.00 mark...and I still have to get a cab back to the shop around 6:00pm. I dropped the car off at 8:30am. Come on Kal Tire...you are better than this.

After taking my vehicle back 3 extra times in the same week to re-balance tires (weights falling off) and get an alignment done properly, I ended up having to go to another shop and redo the alignment anyways.(one tire was still out of alignment and obviliously paid again). Nice people but I wouldnt let them do any more than patch a hole in a flat tire, if that.
