Made an appointment with kal tire as I found they were the cheapest for an alignment and if they dont have to adjust anything there is no charge which I thought was awesome. However, I dropped my car off the night before and deposited my keys. Went to go pick it up the next day after they said it would be done and they didnt even bring it in to the shop. The reason they gave me was they didnt know whos car it was. When I made an appointment I gave them my make and model, I dont understand how they didnt know, I guess they just didnt bother to look or call me when they thought I didnt show up. They just let it sit and basically told me I was out of luck. Normally id just reschedule but today was my last day off before a long road trip. So instead, i went to done rite and they did my alignment without making an appointment. So while there prices may be great at kal tire, and the employees seem nice, their service is definitely sub par.

PRO: They usually can accommodate surprise drive ups needing urgent tire service (especially Saturday). Very speedy turn around. Had tires worn to the cords after a 3300km drive from Halifax. Showed up sudden notice on a Saturday and Kal Tire was able to replace my tires on the spot (I bought the replacements via Kijiji beforehand). Wait time was 35 mins. Final invoice was detailed with their slated torque and PSI values which is a nice bonus. CON: For the cost conscious driver, tire switching service at Kal Tire is a on the pricy side - a small business shop paid on actual clock time can do it for less IF you can afford to wait for a week to get the car in. In this case I knew this going in and was ready to pay a premium to get commercial level super speedy service. Summary: If you need sudden tire service and money isnt an absolute concern, this is the place to go.

the service is so-so. sometimes i have a great experience with a friendly worker who knows their product and gets me what i need. other times they have been terrible. i have gone there to ask about tires and have had very helpful staff walk me through prices, options, and fitment of tire&rims. good recommendations for product. i have also dealt with dismissive, unhelpful, and unknowledgeable staff. i brought my old car in for a tire rotation and they cross-threaded all 5 lugs all the way down the stud. clearly just gunned them on without hand-starting. when i brought it back to complain, they tried to blame me!

100% in customer service. I call after finding a nail in my tire while passing through town on my way home to Edmonton Alberta. After explaining to Terry I was traveling he immediately asked how far away I was. When I said 10 minutes I was told to bring it over and he would get it in before they close. This was less then an hour before closing on a Wednesday. 2 other shops told me Sunday and Monday even after explaining I was just passing through. 35 minutes later I am on the road! Thank you very much!

Ordered very common sized tires on a Monday. CALLED them later that same Monday to confirm the order. Spoke to a rep (Robin) who said the tires would BE THERE by Thursday. CALLED Thursday. NO tires arrived and theyre NOT SURE WHY. Theyll try again for next Tuesday. So meanwhile, Im driving around on one of those spare tire donuts, driving upwards of 70km a day ON A DONUT waiting for them. NEVER. AGAIN. CUSTOMER. LOST.

As a cross country truck driver passed by this location, showed Terry two tires on the trailer that I was assuming to replace them so I dont get in trouble, he did his inspection and gave me his honest opinion which stated tires are fine & its a minor where he stated... its Cosmetic..and not to worry about it... save me time and a hassle ,thank you & God Bless

Had a flat fixed by Kal Tire last year. They were the last ones who touched my vehicle. I go to replace the brakes last week and find the lug nuts were tightened with an impact gun. Staff denied doing it. I now have to find someone to remove them with a grinder to replace the brakes.

Got a tire puncture on the way to Thunder Bay. Managed to drive with the donut backup tire to the hotel in the rainy night. Thats the bad part of story. Come for a visit in the morning, 1 hour the tire fixed. Without a penny! Friendly and quickly service.

Amazing service. I live out of town and they were able to squeeze me in to install my tires. They also didnt have standard lugs for my new rims so they upgraded me with higher profile ones at the standard rate.
