Just really wish to thank you all for such great reviews. We are truly humbled and grateful. As a Family run shop, we give 110 percent to our customers/friends and the friendships we make along the way, regarding turn around, pricing and quality. What we mean is, picking up your vehicle the same day, not like dealerships. Customers need and require their cars A.S.A.P.. And we fully understand. We are people too. Because we do not have as much overhead as other garages, we can offer fair pricing and with 36 years of experience, use the PROPER parts according to the application. Just learn to trust us on what parts to use and not to use. With todays internet with parts and pricing, customers think that cheaper costing parts will do just fine. But when you work on cars, day in and day out, you have to trust us on what parts to purchase. Again, we are only as good as our parts, but never run away from warranty issues. We are truly on your side and will go the extra mile. We are grateful for all the kind reviews and we do give a damn. Also, do not hesitate to ask us to view your old parts or take them home to use them as a boat anchor....lol. No problem at all. We are not only Family but people too. We put are pants on one leg at a time just like everyone else. Like our late Dad always said "NEVER FORGET WHERE YOU CAME FROM, BECAUSE WE ALL CAME FROM NOTHING, AND THIS WILL KEEPS US HUMBLE" the late Serafino Savasta (Carms Father). Very positive experience with this business. My son has our old car in Ottawa where he is attending school and it needed attention. Being from out of town, I was certainly apprehensive blindly choosing and booking an appointment over the phone. The folks there were very friendly and booked the car in right away. They were very good about communicating with me prior to going ahead with the repairs. When my son picked up the car, they even brought him in to show him where the old rad hose had cracked and what repairs were done. The invoice was fair. I would feel comfortable bringing my vehicle there again. Thanks. Dave

So my co-worker and I were in Ottawa for work purposes and suddenly her car started making very loud and weird noises;scared, my co-worker refused to go back to Montreal with that noisy car. We found Savasta Automotive not too far from where we were. We asked this gentleman(perhaps the owner) if he could check out her car to see what’s wrong, he then checked and said something was loose at the bottom and needed a quick fix. He took care of the problem and when we asked how much we owed him? He said its fine, no need to pay!...What a nice gesture!!

Honest, friendly and fair. We brought in our 10 year old truck, which was having some issues. Just 4 months before, another garage had us pour $1000 into the truck. The staff at Savasta, after inspecting the truck, told us that it wasnt worth the repairs. They explained the issues with the truck, how much it would cost to fix, and the approximate value of our truck as it stood. And charged us nothing for the service. We are getting a new car now, and I will certainly bring it to Savasta for all service.

A GREAT Centretown independent mechanic! Have been going to Savasta for over 10 years now. They have maintained and worked on 3 different cars of mine in that time and I have always been 100% satisfied. Always solid work, they offer me repair options ( when possible), on time and it pretty much costs what they say it will.. I have NO hesitation recommending them for all your repairs and maintenance. And I love their motto: " If you wanna go fasta, come to Savasta!

I was completely ripped off by this garage. I was charged $1200 dollars more than I was initially quoted and they never called me during the repairs to inform me of this vast increase. I basically purchased my 13 year old car 2 times. Very unhelpful when I disputed these costs. I was offered a small reduction of $200 as a solution. I should mention that my family has been going to and trusted this garage for many years. Obviously we will not be returning.

After one mechanic inspected my car, I brought it to Savasta and Dominic told me that the other mechanic was wrong and I did not need the part. he cleaned it up and gave it back and saved me $400. This is not my first time with this kind of service at Savasta. they are the most honest and intelligent shop in the city. Thank you, Dominic. I have been dealing with Carm, Fami and Damian for over 15 years and have recommended them wholeheartedly to co-workers and friends - especially women. They have seen me through 3 vehicles and each time Carm would be the first to tell me that I was putting more money into repairs on the vehicle than was worth it and that I should consider buying something new(er). Went there for the first time and as far as auto repairs go it was pretty painless. They worked fast and had no problem when I couldnt pick up the car that day. When I picked it up they took the time to explain exactly what they did and gave me an itemized bill which while expensive, at least detailed where exactly the money went. will likely go back the next time I need it serviced.
