I have been coming here for 3 years. I am always satisfied with their work and open communication. I am never left with feeling stupid or the pit in your stomach that youve just been had. More recently, I was driving around the city on a Saturday doing errands. I heard a very loud screeching sound from the wheels. I quickly drove to Maxim not even aware of the time. I walked in, they knew my name, took my concerns seriously and drove my truck into car bay without hesitation. I then became aware that it was actually closing time. Everybody was happy to help despite this fact. In 20 minutes they found the offending stone in my wheel and had me on my merry way. The most awesome part, they did not charge me for this even though I was willing to pay for their time. This is truly a community mechanic of the past. I tell all my friends to go here. Give them a try.

I tried Maxim Muffler after I couldnt get in for an oil change elsewhere. I havent gone anywhere else since. I can drop my car off first thing in the morning with a problem, and its nearly always ready by the end of the day. (On rare occasions it isnt, its usually because of a part thats not regularly stocked.) My 2000 Civic is getting up in years, and Maxim has been wonderful in keeping it running for minimum cost. From fixing the breaks, the air-intake, the wiper motor, the hood release, to now the muffler - theyve done good! Always willing to explain the problem, and have even offered to look for cheaper parts for noncritical items. I now take my truck to them as well. No difference in service whether they are speaking to me, my husband, or anyone else!

I was new in Winnipeg, and wanted to find a good locally owned shop that I could entrust with all my vehicle servicing needs. After a quick internet search, I decided to try them out. I can say with the utmost certainty that I will be taking all my business to Marco, as this is clearly a shop that is committed to excellent customer service. Not only was I surprised with how good the shop rates are, but with the quality of the work, and the personal care. They do pretty much all work that can need doing (brakes, muffler, oil change, alignment, servicing, etc.), and they will perform very high quality work at a very affordable price. I will be recommending Marco and the team at Maxim to all family and friends, and anybody in need of vehicle maintenance.

Brought my 2007 Volkswagen GTI in as a walk-in around noon, was served and looked after immediately by friendly counter staff. Problem diagnosed, solutions presented to me, recommendations were given upon my request. Car was fixed by knowledgeable worker and was shown work when finished. Very organized and clean environment. Got to meet owner who seems on top of everything. Had a personable chat and was home before rush hour. More than satisfied with customer service, workmanship, wait time, and affordability. Thank you for being effecient workers, employees, and shop as a whole. I will DEFINITELY be coming back for anymore car needs. Thank you again, I HIGHLY recommend. Maxim is the way to go.

Horrible!..... I had gone in a few times for the cheap groupon oil changes they offer - on my 3rd time in, they told me that by cv boots were gone, and that the entire job would cost around $800. When I went to get another opinion, that autobody place said someone had put leaky oil on my cv boots. Never again!... Shows how they make up for their cheap oil change groupons!... If you are not already a mechanic, or know a little about vehicles - be wary as this place will take advantage of you, AND YOUR POCKET BOOK. The gentleman came off as nice, explaining the work that needed to be done to be, going through every little detail - lion in sheeps clothing - be very aware!... Dont get taken!...

I had a problem with my Muffler hanging down just before Christmas & I went in to Maxim Muffler to see if there was a way to fix it. I had been having a terrible week what with all the expenses of Christmas & health issues in my family & was just in need of some kindness. Harold & the guys at Maxim were wonderful. They McGuyvered a way to tie up my muffler until I could afford to get a new one. I just went back last week & they even remembered me! Asked if the muffler was still holding up! Just so nice to find a business that is so Customer service oriented! Rock stars in my opinion! Am going to take my car there from now on for ALL my repairs! Thank you all soo much!

Left my office and realized I had a flat tire. Called Maxim to see if they could assist me(The shop was about to close). The owner and an employee drove out to help me. My spare tire was punctured and could not be used so the staff went back to the shop to find another tire for me. Tire was changed immediately. In a situation like this most companies would have asked you to call CAA or a tow truck and have the vehicle towed in to them. I would highly recommend Maxim Muffler, they are efficient, friendly,professional and the service is always excellent. When it comes to the cost of repairs they have always been fair and reasonable.(Customer for over 5 years).

I would never go back here for exhaust work. Instead of using the factory hangers, they welded the whole exhaust system up while it was hanging down and sitting on the crossmember of my truck. I guess that is what you get when a mechanic that has Ford painted all over his toolbox works on a Chevy. I dont even want to go back to this place to get the problem fixed Im so disgusted with the work. I based going here in the first place by all the good reviews but obviously many of these rating were most likely written by friends and family. If youre thinking of stopping here for exhaust work I would keep on driving.

Buyer Beware! They depend on people not knowing anything about their vehicle or paying attention to what they are doing. We paid for an oil change, inspection, etc. deal and they didnt do half of what was in the agreement. When we called them the guy just replied, "Yep, I will tell the guy he didnt do it," and hung up. No apologies or offer to come in and actually do what they were supposed to. They just look for things they can say are wrong with the vehicle so they can rack up a pricey bill. We had to go visit another mechanic after we left there who was shaking his head at what they did and did not do!

Maxim Muffler has always given us reliable work at a fair price. They are very trustworthy and genuine in their assessment of work. A recent example of this is where a local dealer where our vehicle was purchased quoted us work totalling close to $2000. After taking it to Maxim for a second quote we were pleasantly told that ALL the work was not require. Marco and his team were honest and open about what really needed to be done, and in the end saved us over $1500 ! We appreciate the genuine customer service and wouldnt think of going anywhere else!
