Took my tire in for nail repair. They brought my tire out 20 minutes later with sidewall partially ripped off. Was obvious it was damaged in removal process. He tried to tell me I hit a curb but the problem was it was the inside side wall. Pretty hard to smash a curb with the inside of your tire without damaging a lot more than one sidewall. Manager lied and then told me it was like that and he couldnt put it back on for safety concerns. He was adamant, even after I brought forward my concerns, the tire was like that when I brought the truck in. He Was adamant his guy didnt/couldnt do it. I was positive it was their mistake and another customer stepped forward and backed me up(thank you). The rip in the tire had no dirt or wear on the tire. It was clean as if the tire was brand new but the rest of the tire was slightly faded and dirty. After I argued for 20 minutes he finally admitted it was his guy and hed replace it with a used tire. I had to argue to get a new tire replacement stating I wouldnt put a used tire on my truck of I was paying for it and I surely wasnt putting one on when they were responsible. This was on Wednesday and I was told itd be in Friday. On Saturday I called them to find out what was going on. They said theyd call me back. 4 days later I called them again still not having heard anything. They told me loomis lost the tire but that he had a used tire with 1500kms on it theyd brought in. I argued again that theyd offered a new tire and since they lost that one why should we be back to a used replacement again? He then told me the tire had 40,000 kms on it but would match up with the other side good. Lies lies lies, I dont think through this whole situation I ever had a conversation with (I think John was managers name) where he didnt spew lies out of his mouth. He did reluctantly order my tire for me and it came in 2 weeks later. I had a spare on for almost 3 weeks all because of the incompetence of this manager and his staff. For the record i understand mistakes happen and things get ruined once in a while but then to lie to me and try to make me pay for it is what I had a problem with. Then to stick with the lie to the point other customers recognize youre trying to screw me is unacceptable. Then the follow up was awful. I had to continue to call to find out what was happening with my tire that they ruined. I read other reviews on google while in the shop where they were cheating customers and I have no doubt this is a shop that will purposely ruin something to try and make you spend more money than is required. In this case I took my tire in for tire repair and After 3 painful weeks and multiple conversations where I was constantly lied to I finally got my tire back on my truck. I will never be back to this dealer and caution anyone who does use it. Lies lies lies!!!!!!!!! Take picture of everything before you hand over your keys. If I could rate this less than 1 star I would have.

A terrible service experience -- held hostage. I went in to get a screw pulled out of my step-deck trailer tire and a pug/patch installed. I was told the screw was "in the sidewall" and was "un-repairable" even though it was not. Was told about safety regs and liability and they wanted to sell me a new tire; and told me to go somewhere else if I thought I could do better. I said fine, but then they refused to re-inflate the tire citing safety. I said Id do it with my own compressor. Then they said they would refuse to install it. Basically, I was held hostage and said twice that I felt like I was being scammed; and when I took pictures of the screw in my tire they took great offense and became belligerent. I was accused of having attitude and being "an a**hole" just because I would not quietly let myself get ripped off. I had to ask twice for my old (new really) tire back after agreeing to put a used one on -- but even then they stonewalled, pushing 2 more trucks through even after Id agreed to sort of play by their rules and bought a tire from them. Two independent mechanics have looked at the tire and assured me it was not "un-repairable. Watch yourself with Kal Tire. They tear your stuff apart, quote a policy as if thats all thats to be said, then tell you to go somewhere else -- all while refusing to restore your truck to driveable condition. Its VERY bad business to make your customers feel like victims. They wouldnt even let me sign a waiver taking all responsibility myself. I couldnt leave, until I was $240 lighter. A follow-up to this review. I took my "unrepairable tire" to another Kal Tire and found out "the policy" you kept repeating to me as justification for this scam, doesnt exist. My tire was repaired in less than 10 min (vs the 5 hour run-around at Brookside). I specifically asked them about the sidewall issue and they said it was no issue and had no compunctions about inflating and installing the tire on my trailer. Pure scam Brookside Kal Tire. Scam. Scam. Scam. Head office in BC will receive a detailed report. Any consumers considering having work done here check out other review sites. Im not the first person theyve worked this kind of scam on.

If you are willing to: -deal with guys who take phone calls (and obviously cannot multi-task) while you are physically in front of them discussing the plan for service -be told that additional work has been done to your vehicle above and beyond the quote without PROPER & INFORMED consent and be expected to pay whatever the amount they tell you after the fact -be accused of wanting free product/service by managers -accept insincere apologies for their errors and mistakes -accept nothing will be done when you voice concerns to management -accept being lied to -be made to feel like a nuisance rather than a valued client... ...then the Brookside KalTire location is the one for you. All is fine and dandy when clients simply pay up. Once there is a customer relations issue, that is when a business shows their true colours. Brookside KalTire did just that. I agree with previous review(s) warning truck drivers to stay far away, but I also extend this warning to regular, hardworking individuals who understand not only the value of a dollar, but the value in developing and maintaining relationships, rapport and trust with clients. Zero stars for integrity, respect and ethical practice.

WORST TIRE SHOP IN WINNIPEG! I went to kal tire to have my bead sealed for my ATV. They said they would gladly do it so, we went into the back and, they started hitting the tire with this axe thing. When they were hitting the tire they also hit the rim and bent it severely. After 5 min of beating it the tire got this 3 inch hole. After they made the hole they told me it was my fault that the guy ripped my tire. I told them i just wanted my bead sealed not a big hole and they just basically told me "Sorry its not our fault that we ripped your tire". I told them why not and they said the tire was to old. So I told them could they give me a new tire to replace the old one they said no. So I left Kal tire with a bent rim and a ripped tire TERRIBLE customer serivce
