Beware of this shop!! Here is my story and experience.. I took my Fiat in to the West Kelowna Boyds location on Wedneday November 4. I needed repairs after a minor collision and my front bumper was cracked. I told the manager Todd I didnt necessarily want to file a claim and he said that was fine, they would do the repairs and I could choose if I wanted to file or not afterwards. I assumed the repairs would take a few days. They called me the following Tuesday November 10 saying there was some hidden damage, they have ordered parts and if I had any questions I could call. I called back as I still hadnt been informed of any estimate and I was wondering about the hidden damage. They told me the repairs and labour was already at over 9 thousand dollars and they were waiting for more parts!! I decided to come in to the shop and they explained what was wrong with the hidden damages but said it in a very snide and rude way and made me feel naive as a woman who clearly doesnt know too much about vehicles. They were also were shocked to hear that I wasnt for sure filing through ICBC and they had already sent the claim papers (without my consent!!) off to ICBC. They told me to call and speak to Todd on Monday. I called and he apologized for the obvious miscommunications between staff. I also told him in this phone call about a small paint chip above the driver side back tire and requested it to be touched up, he told me "It was no problem and he would get that done for me for sure" (the least they could do after being without a vehicle for almost 2 weeks now and dealing with some unprofessional customer service) he also said the vehicle will be ready no later than Thursday November 19. Thursday came around no word, and then they were closed on the weekend and then finally on Monday November 23 I get a phone call saying it was done. I walked over to my car and noticed right away the chip was still there. I asked and the guy helping me and he went to Todd the managers, office and came back and said that Todd said he could not fix it as they didnt have paint to match and they just wiped it off as it looked bad!!! I feel like that was an excuse as they had obviously just forgotten to do it (another really unprofessional thing especially after waiting weeks with no vehicle, unprofessional and rude staff and having an almost a $10,000 final bill) Anyhow I left with my Fiat. But no, this story is not done yet.. I received a phone call from them a few days later saying there was another part that came in and they wanted me to bring in my car AGAIN to put it it on so clearly my Fiat was not done as they had said it was on Monday. Very very unprofessional as again not correctly notifying me and making me run around back and forth to bring it again to be fixed after weeks of trouble.. unbelievable. I am very disappointed with my entire experence at this shop as I have heard some really good reviews about the Boyds in Kelowna. Clearly different management in West Kelowna and they could take a couple lessons from Kelowna.

A while back I stopped in at Boyd Autobody on Byland Road to get a quote to have a door side moulding put back on my 2008 GMC truck. They asked me if I had twenty minutes which I did so they took my vehicle in and replaced the moulding right there and then. I was totally surprised with the great service with out an appointment. Just recently I damaged the tail gate on my truck to the point that it needed to be replaced and painted. I explained to Don that I was wanting to keep my costs down and asked if he would allow me to re and re all the hardware and emblems and the bring it back for paint. He was most accommodating and insured me that the tailgate would be ready on Friday as promised. Not only was the service second to none but after getting two competitive quotes I was very pleased with the price charged to complete all the work. At Boyd Autobody you will experience not only courteous knowledgeable front end staff but you will sense a real atmosphere from the Boyd team wanting to please the customer and insuring they have a good experience at their facility. I would recommend Boyd on the west side to others in a heart beat. These guys are great. I will be back.

I got rear ended last summer and got my car fixed through these guys. Everything seemed to go by smoothly, but once a few weeks passed I started to notice a few different things. For starters, my trunk had a few dents leftover in it and when I had confronted Boyd about it and asked them to fix it they had basically told me that it was my fault. Secondly, I noticed the paint beside and under my tail light started to peel off. When I confronted them about this and asked them to fix it I was told that they would buy me a paint pen for my car but not fix it. These guys claim to back their warranty yet try and blame everything on you. As far as I can tell these guys prey on the undereducated and underage to cut corners and make money from. I now have to go through ICBC to get another shop to fix their work. I do NOT recommend this shop, that is why I give it 1 star and would give it less then 0 stars if I could. my experience with boyds was very well. I came in after an accident to get some body work done and see what else was the result of the accident. after the damage and total for repair cost was concluded it turned out that their was more mechanical issues that best would be fixed elsewhere. unfortunately for me, getting out to Kelowna and taking my truck to another shop wasnt something i could easily do in the day. The manager Todd was very courteous and was able to take my truck to the other shop for me and discuss with them the issue. on top of all of that, Todd didnt didnt even charge me for the time and labour they put into the truck. definitely a shop worth going to after an accident!

I had a small fender bender and needed the work done while I was away. I was able to drop off my car and came back to find that they were able to fix the car without actually and body work! They made every effort to do what they could to curb unnecessary costs and polished it up so that it looks like new!! VERY VERY pleased with the service on all levels. Gracious, accommodating and the best, bar none!

I have dealt with boyd autobody on the Westside for many many years. I had a run of bad luck and had to go to the shop because others hit me. They did the most remarkable job ever I have been extremely pleased every time. My family has all gone with the same results. Todd is fantastic and so is the staff. Thank u boyd for being so awesome.
