My car broke down in late mid december. I had it towed to BCAA as they said that they could take a look at it that day; I live about 20km out of town so I was eager to get my car back and running again. I spoke with Rodney initially, and he handled my service for the rest of my experience. He informed me that the water pump was blown and would need replacing and also suggested replacing the timing belt at the same time. I agreed that it would be a good idea to replace both at the same time, and looked over the $1500 quote. I asked whether they install customer supplied parts, and Rodney informed me that they do. So, I sourced out some parts through an account with a local parts dealer, and was able to get them for $200 rather than the $700 kit from BCAA. This seemed like a no-brainer. I took the parts in and authorized them to begin working on it the next day; the parts I supplied were timing belt & water pump (no tensioner.) The next day I receive a call from Rodney - they had replaced the timing belt and water pump, and on the test drive, the assembly failed. I would now need to pay for another timing belt, cover, and a tensioner. On top of that, the timing belt blew while the engine was running, which means it is more than likely that there is internal damage to the engine valves (interference engine.) I asked if they can find out and he informed me that to open the engine and inspect would be around 4 hours of labor. This is where the situation moved from bad luck to poor service and possible dishonesty. Here are my concerns. I was now looking at a bill of 1200 for car that was now in much worse shape. I would have to add about $500 to that bill just to find out if there was internal damage. I would then have to add another $1000 (before parts) to have the job completed again. All this resulting from, as I was told, the *tensioner* blowing. I chose not to replace this part as I had been told it is not common for them to snap. Whether that is true or not, the fact that the Tensioner snapped within minutes of the service being performed tells me that it is a likely possibility that the failure is due to the installation rather than of the part itself. Now, I cant say whether or not the service centre is to blame for that particular failure, I can say that the follow-up by Rodney was absolutely horrible. Its now been about a week since I have had my car, and after Rodney phoned and told me about the timing belt failure, I told him I had to think about what to do next. I was not prepared to pay for the labor on a job that destroyed my engine. I called back later that day and did not reach Rodney but was told he would call me when he was finished with the customer he was helping. I heard from Rodney 1 month later. 1 month since I called and asked to speak with him, he decided it would be worth calling me back so we could "settle up the bill" By this point, I am driving a new car and had all but forgotten. I told him I would not be paying. He said "thats not how it works," and that his service manager would be in touch to see if they can work with me on the invoice. It has now been about 1 month since that phone call and still no word. I will never visit this shop again.

April 21. 2016 Evening "HUMOR" SO Today I went back to BCAA, "Skinny shuttle driver saw me outside, sprinted back inside to shout hes coming". Decorated sprint athlete, after all the guilty shuffles I spoke with Manager Dan. Yes Dan! I should have never come back to you guys after the AC incident. I get it that its common practice to put less oil, to increase sales and repeat customer. "Its the entire Valley Business Model," Its was a risk you guys choose to take. All I need is my car repaired I am entitled to that. April 21, 2016 Morning Most Aweful experience. Not once but TWICE!!!! I brough my car in for oil change 21 Jan 2016. at 10:03:13 AM. About two weeks after service my check oil light came on. I check the oil level it never came up on the stick, I gradually added a entire bottle of oil because i was miles away in Vancouver. Now there is a rattling noise/sound. I went to another service centre. ONLY to find out that the oil was so low it blew the engine yesterday 20 April 2016 three Months. I am due for servie July 26, 2016 or at 132,207 miles I am at 131,900. The Car never once, nor has it ever had a oil leak. But you guys also broke my AC while fixing my radiator on on June 29, 2015. You were also please to tell me it was not working. Only when i suggested it broke when you tried to straighten it to get the job done you admitted. I absorbed the entire cost of fixing my AC. Now my engin, this is just too much and REID your distasteful attitude towards me shall be my motivation througughout this process. SO I GUESS OIL CHANGE DOES NOT INCLUDE OIL!!!!

My wife and I just moved to Kelowna from Edmonton Alberta. We took our GMC truck in for an out of province inspection. It passed no problem. They also gave me a breakdown of what needs to be fixed "eventually", but did not affect the inspection. Being from another province my wife and I had many questions. The 2 service gents took time out to answer all of our questions. We were very impressed. I would highly recommend this garage. They are not out to rip anyone off. As one reviewer wrote...money does not grow on trees". When we moved from another province to Alberta we took our vehicle to a Canadian Tire in Edmonton. What a bunch of rip off artists. To anyone who reads this review...DO NOT use Canadian tire. Please use this BCAA garage in Kelowna. Great job guys!!! 10 out of 10.

This place was awesome. Took care of me after I blew a tire on the highway. Rodney was very knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. A new tire got brought in from the warehouse and installed with 3 hours. They even washed my car since I was a bcaa member. The whole team here was fantastic. Extra credit to Daniel who ran out and closed my sun roof before my car went through the wash

We got an appointment for an oil change the morning of the same day we called in. The service was excellent, They supplied us with synthetic oil for a lesser price than the blend. They washed our truck and gave us the partial litre of unused oil! Rodney was fantastic, we will be back!

Like the best service ever. They always give a quote before they do stuff, I never have to pay any weird extra service fees.
