Booked the car online well in advance. I arrive there (after some difficulty finding the place and I used to live in Victoria), the guy working there pulls up my reservation just fine but then informs me that they have no cars. None. That was it. So then I had to go find a car rental at another place on the spot which as you can imagine ended up costing me a lot more than anticipated. The guy actually called up National for me without really even asking me and he told me oh they have a car for the week like you wanted, go to them. I Ended up going with Enterprise, Ive rented from them a couple times and its always been a good experience (and the best part is they have always had the cars I booked).

This place is terrible. After a months passed since my car rental, these people were still unable to give me a rental agreement or a receipt, reasoning all of this with a bad printer. I had to reach them through the phone 2 times from my vacation, they have promised 2 times that they will be sending out the papers still nothing. It is absolutely an example of a terrible customer service and careless bastards. Oh, on top of this, they were also able to hide a box of few day old pasta in the trunk of a brand new car with 300 kms in it!! I mean, seriously??? This is how Hertz operates???

Reserved 2 vans for a weeklong trip more than a month in advance. When we got there to pick up the cars, there was only one van available. Although they offered 2 cars in replacement - the 2nd one was very unconfortable for a long drive!!! - this has greatly disrupted our plans. It also resulted to added cost (ferry, gas) and accident risk (ended up with no reserve drivers for a couple of cars). I cant believe we will be penalized if we violated their rules and we were still penalized when they reneged on their rules. Very unreliable company.

just on hold waiting to be answered to find out why I have a $100 and a separate #50 charge on my credit card. Car was to be paid for by insurance company. Car was gassed up with receipt left on seat. Car was vacuumed at said gas station. If a company tries to take advantage of you, well use your own better judgement. All I can give are the facts. Never again for me. Ps just got through after about 15 mins on hold to be told she cannot help me. Cannot take a message. Hung up on me. Really! Yours Truly Jim Lyne !!!!!!!!

I have just turned in a rental for a toyota corolla through an ICBC claim. I found the service friendly and helpful. I had the car for 12 days and put on over 400 kilometres. They charged $39.00 for the gas used... quite a deal compared to my RAV 4. Upon return they drove me to the body shop to get my car.

Worst customer service experience ever. After our rental broke down, we were sent partway home in the uncomfortable [partial] back seat of a tow truck -- a SEVEN HOUR RIDE -- without any arrangements made to get us the rest of the way home. And Hertz is still considering charging us for this.

Terrible experience. Rented a car online, and was given an address of 710 Queens Ave. Do not go to this address ! They moved over a year ago and didnt update it. We were stranded in the middle of nowhere with no car. Ended up cancelling and booking with Budget down the road.

I work on the same street as Hertz and they will park your car on the street over the weekend. Rockbay area is known for its drug addicts and high Petty crime. The employees that park the cars on the street have no respect, they drive the cars (customers) with no respect.

Dropped off car and was offered a complimentary taxi ride to pier. Professional staff and very prompt processing of our return. Would be nice if Hertz had a drop off closer to the piers but with the free taxi ride we made a completely smooth transfer.

Received exceptional service. Arrived a day late and was still given the car with upgrade for the time requested (2 days) even though the booking was only for one more day. Assistance given to and from hotel. Overall simply outstanding.

I have used them 2 or 3 summers. Laid back but very good customer service. Theyll pick you up and drop you off or reimburse you for cab fare. Great guys. Just wish they were open on weekends. I thought they were.....

Picked up a car dirty inside and out. Gate locked up when returned the car, at about 4:30pm on weekend, with no signs telling me where to park. Finally I had to drop it off at the auto body shop.
