I have waited almost 2 years to write this review to ensure that what I wrote was accurate. Originally, I planned on giving 5 stars as the service I received was amazing. Coming from Vancouver Island, I wanted to be extremely sure that I was leaving with a vehicle. The financing was ready and easy, they kept their word on my trade-in. However, 3/4 to the ferry I had a "check engine" light come on. I needed this ferry, so I kept going. WRONG. I should have immediately gone back. The problem was a catalytic converter. It was very obvious they just reset the code because it came back on almost immediately. Even with their "3 month warranty," they only offered me a lousy $300 to fix the problem or I had to come back to Vancouver for THEM to do it (Which is a huge cost itself). They wouldnt pay a mechanic here. I still dont have this issue fixed completely because it was also the O2 sensor in addition to the catalytic converter and the $300 only went so far. NEXT, I was assured that the financing would show up on a credit report which was one of the reasons I went with the extreme cost of private lending. I had no credit as a young person and my last vehicle didnt report. I would not have financed a vehicle if I knew there would be no positive credit score after paying it all back. I have done a credit check and it is not there. Highly disappointed. And last, the most important thing. I have a Grand Cherokee V8 with a "selec-track" system. This allows me to have 4WD in both part time and full time conditions. The lady told me it was like having AWD-- I could slip in and out of PART TIME whenever the road was wet or iffy. This is completely wrong. I drove often on pavement in part time before I realized I was beginning to have problems controlling the vehicle and getting it back out of part time. I have now done the research that part-time is NOT AWD, and is the opposite and should NEVER be used on dry pavement or even on dirt roads. Its for mud and snow conditions ONLY. This could have potentially blown apart my transfer case and/or drive train causing potentially thousands of dollars in cost to fix, or even caused an accident. By my research, it should have blown apart already and I am incredibly lucky. Essentially, I will never buy a vehicle here again as they mislead me, sold me something that they knew was broken and fed me the wrong information that could have potentially seriously injured someone.

Sold us a 2003 Protege with low low kms . It drove and handled like a low km car . Gary and his partner were honest and let my wife and I take it on a pre-lim test drive when we were just considering the car . Then when it was our top choice we took it for a 45 minute test drive , on the highway , over the bridge , in the city and gave the car a good test . No issues . They didnt mind our timeframe or how through we were . They were up front with the Icbc accident sheet and showed me the few minor hits . I am a Car guy , when I show up at a dealer its with a tool bag , good flashlight and code reader . That is usually to scare any shady dealer . These guys didnt mind at all . Our critism : the so called saftey inspection they have done is at one of those little shops on Clarke . Its not very good, they tire px was set to max 44psi , the brake pads had been poorly installed into a set of calipers that needed replacing . When you buy a used car , you should always give it a good once. Not bad for $3500

Gary and Deb helped me find a vehicle for my business...they went out of their way to help me find exactly what I was looking for and even loaned me a van to use until the one I had chosen was detailed and checked thoroughly. Deb, as it turns out got me my first vehicle when I moved to Vancouver 20 years ago and both she and Gary have a reputation for honesty in a business where honesty and integrity are incredibly important. These two have 5 stars for me easily. I have sent two other friends there for vehicles and both are super happy with their purchases!

We have purchased 2 cars now from Sensible . Have always had great service from both Gary and Debra ,nice to know there are still honest people in the business .When your buying a $2500 dollar car you cant expect it to be new . The warranty they give is free , we never had to use it but I looked up the company and there are shops all over so not sure why that guy complained lol for something he got for free . Will be buying our daughters car in the next year . Thanks Guys !

When I bought my car from them I asked about the brakes and was told that the pads would need replacing soon. Turns out they were completely rusted through and a major safety hazard. WARNING - DO NOT BUY THEIR WARRANTY. I did, only to discover almost nobody in Vancouver accepts it. I even went to a shop that was listed on the warrantys web site only to find out that the shop stopped accepting them because they were lousy to deal with. Complete waste of money.

I had an excellent experience at sensible motors. The owner was extremely friendly and reasonable. We have been looking for a Toyota highlander for a while and went to several other dealerships, but I have to say sensible motors was one of the better ones. Weve had the vehicle since November. It runs beautifully. The owner even let me bring it to my car mechanic before purchasing it. I will be sure to go back next time I go car shopping :)

We had a great experience with Gary at Sensible Auto Sales! We sold our car to him and received a fairer offer than other dealerships in the area. He isnt your usual car salesman and handles customers with care and understanding. If we were to purchase a car in Vancouver we would definitely visit him - they have plenty of cars for travellers like us! Highly recommended for good deals.

Gary the owner at Sensible Auto Sales is a great guy to buy or sell too. The company I work for has used them to buy several quality used vehicles from our For Sale by Owner data base. RideBuyers has helped many customers selling and buying by connecting them to our associated dealerships in Vancouver Sensible Auto is one of our favourites.

Gary Loski is a pretty laid-back guy because hes been doing this for a long time. The most honest and efficient used car salesman I have ever met. Bought an 01 Nissan Pathfinder today - got Wrench Patrol to come by - they liked it! I think hes an honest guy!
