This is to anyone and everyone! I recently turned 20 years old and was looking to rent a car. I called all other rental places ( Budget, Thrifty,Hertz,etc...) and they all stated that the minimum age was 25 but if you were 21-24 could pay a little more and get the car. Since I am not 21 I looked around and found this place. It was me and my girlfriends anniversary, I called a week before to ask for booking he said, "He didnt reserve any cars unless it was for 3 days or more." Fair enough, it is the summer time. He told me to come check my luck on Monday morning. I asked him about the free pick-up and drop off...no sorry, he said, its an extra $60...thats funny on your website it says its free. So monday morning I go there at 8 am with my girlfriend to get an early start and enjoy the day...since it is the opening hours...8:30...nothing...9:00... nothing...i call him...oh sorry and makes an excuse...i talk to the other receptionist across from his desk and he told me that he(the manager) never shows up before 9:30...Thats fine, just change your opening hours....please! 9:45 he shows up...extremely bad attitude and rude to me...he stats insurance for the day and says its cheaper if we go to insurance place 2 blocks down and insure the car there so he drives us. But as we get out of the car states, "Hes not a chauffeur" which is ridiculous because he offered to drive us there. Anyways none of the cars i want are there so i take the one I can fit in...being 63" its not easy fitting into cars. Everything goes well until we found out...half way to our destination the limit is 150KM....and its 50cents/km...funny because on his policy it states 20cents. This company will ripe you off left, right , and centre...i brought my dad when returning the car...he smartened up quick. Warning to anyone under the age of 21 please, please, dont risk it he WILL take advantage of you because he knows no one lends cars to anyone under 21. He will charge you excessive for the car and go against his own policy to make money off you.Will not rent any cars from this place again, and highly HIGHLY dont recommend!

I really have no idea how can many others gave a good review to this rent company. I and my friend just rent car last week and got really pissed off the day after I brought back the car to them. we went so late until about 1am and decided to gave the car on the night to pull aside any charges I may get if I gave them back on the next morning which is 8am and its my deadline. Before we dropped the car at 1pm, we filled up the gas until 2/3, which we didnt know that we suppose to fill it up until full tank. The next morning after we drop the car in the late night before, we came back again to remove any preauthorize credit card and pay the extra millage. surprisingly, he said that we let the fuel to just a quarter asked us to pay the extra fuel charge for $100. We did fill up the tank to 2/3. We then starting to realize that he was trying to trick us. after a bit of argument, we agreed to pay $70 for fuel charge, though it still expensive, because he tricked us by saying that we let the fuel tank to a quarter. Then surprisingly, he charged us 100 km more than we suppose to pay. We showed him the exact milage we took in the night we drop the car. He then kept impolitely arguing with us for about 20 minutes. Until we lost our patient and threaten him that we want to meet the guy who check the millage whom he said not him. and we also threaten him that we would have a courage to make a sue or something that would bring him distress, since we had a millage picture prove. Then, he finally did not charge the extra millage that we think of him surely trying to trick us. Before we left, he told us to come back again and would like to give a discount in the future for us. I WOULD NEVER COME BACK AGAIN!

We rented a car from RIZ late August from the manager Mo,(spelling may be incorrect), for 3 Days. As you can imagine renting a car from any car rental business in August was next to impossible. We were very fortunate to get a car from RIZ although prices were high approx. $100/day, which was standard for any company competing through the free market during prime time. We rented the car for four days with no issues until we returned the car on August 25th. The car was returned approximately 3.5 hours later than stated on the contract. The issue was we told the RIZ the times we wanted the car for, but the contract said 12P.M. which was earlier than we verbally requested. Initially they wanted to bill us for an extra day and of course we were very upset. The manager stated that he had the legal right to bill us for the day since it was in writing, but given that we were not exceptionally late he would forgo the extra day’s cost. In addition, I had to get a flight back to Toronto and offered him $30.00 to drive me there, since that was still cheaper than a Taxi but he insisted on $20 and so we agreed. Along the ride he spoke highly of his employees and especially highly of his boss. He was very pleasant. Upon arrival at the airport I was about to give him the money but he refused stating that it seemed like he was getting money on the side like a “bribe”. I explained that it was just a tip, but he still refused. Don’t you hate it when you try to force a nicety on a person but they refuse? These are the qualities that I look for in a friend. I will definitely rent from RIZ again and hopefully I will meet Mo once again. RIZ was one of my best experiences in BC! Thank You

This has got to be the worst rental car company Ive ever come across. I came here over a long weekend, as Budget and other companies Id checked were all out of vehicles. I booked a car for the day online, and received a confirmation number (didnt ask for credit card details at all). Appointment was booked for 2PM, and when we showed up to pick up the vehicle, nobody was at the counter. I called the company phone number, which kept going to voicemail. After waiting for 45 minutes, the owner finally came back, along with a co-worker. By this point, my boyfriend and I were quite upset at having to wait for 45 minutes, but we just wanted to get the car and be on our way. I went to the counter, and started reading my confirmation number, half way through, he replied that there were no cars available - they were all out for the day. I asked him why it let me book online if there were no cars available, at which he just shrugged his shoulders. No apologies, no explanation - he looked like we were annoying him. I asked then why we had to wait 45 minutes, with no one at the counter. HIs co-worker said "a guys gotta eat", to which the owner said "I was praying at the mosque, this is my business, I can do whatever the f**k I want". Long story, short , we exchanged more unpleasantries and we left. Will NEVER go back here. After reading previous reviews, it seems like not getting a vehicle was actually a blessing in disguise.
