My mind is blow with how poor the service is at this location. I spent $1000 on a tune up on my older car. I primarily brought it in after the car started having a issue with staling and struggling with speeds over 90km/h. They give back the car and tell me its all good to go. I mostly use it for 15km drives to work and it had been doing fine for about a month. This weekend i took it on my first trip out of town and 30 mins into driving on the highway the thing starts to struggle the engine light comes on and it dies on me. I manage to get it back to the shop and their amateur mechanics cant seem to find anything wrong with it. Beyond that they refuse to take any responsibility for any of the previous work that has been done and the extent of the help i got was a recommendation to take it to a different location. These people are useless. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone unless you need a mechanic to dance around your issues and find everything else wrong with your car that doesnt involve fixing it for the biggest bill possible. I brought my truck in to get an oil change the brake pads replaced and they said that the calipers, rotors, and pads all needed to be replaced and it would be $897+tax. It seemed high (and I wasnt expecting that much work, since the brakes were still working fine), but the truck is 2008 so I figure its not impossible that things would be wearing down. So I told them to just do the oil change and Ill get a second opinion about the rest and maybe come back. They charged me the regular price for the oil change, but an additional $30 in labour just for inspecting the brakes. The shop across street quoted me $795+ tax for the exact same job, and offered to do a free inspection first to make sure that all of the work was necessary. Ill never be going to Midas again, what a rip off!

Worst Midas I have Ever Been To. They will scam you, they will cheat you. They will overcharge you. They will install parts incorrectly for the money. They will put your vehicle in a worse position than it was. I have had the displeasure of using their service more than once. I have had friends that have had their vehicles in a worse shape than they came in at this location. Today was the final straw, I waited 6 hours for a simple fix (Would have taken less than 1 hour) and at the end of it, after promising me all day that it would be done at the end of the day, they say it wont be done, causing me to miss another day of work. SCAB mechanics, awful service. Shut this place down and DO NOT GO HERE. BUYER BEWARE.

On my Monday afternoon visit for oil change service, the sales representative was shop manager Dale. He quoted the service would be done in one hour. Unfortunately, the shop was understaffed with only three mechanics working six service bays. Consequently, the service on my car fell behind schedule taking two hours to complete. Also, Dale missed on two aspects of good customer service. I had requested to decline the complimentary tire rotation service, but he forgot to tell his mechanics. He also recommended a high mileage oil for my car -- which I agreed to -- but he omitted telling me up front how much the price difference would be additionally from the regular grade motor oil.

A car is full of accessories that we have no idea exist along with their cost . For this reason we are left totally at the mercy of the mechanics integrity. It really helps when the mechanic is friendly and willing to explain costs as well as not pushing certain jobs he feels you could probably do without . I realize big corporate places like midas have clients worry but I assure you my experience Garry (assistant manager) has been nothing but professional. Hes been good at saving me money where Im convinced other mechanics would not have been so generous . He cares about your repeat buisness and will tell you the truth about your vehicle.

These guys caused my engine to seize. I took my Mazda 3 to this shop (that I wish I didnt) for oil change and brake pad change. Two weeks after that, one morning I started engine and after 1 km drive the engine turned off. I called them and they took it yo the shop. At first they said theyre not able to say whats going on. Then they started by saying the oil level in engine is very low. And finally after 2 days they said for some reasons no oil is in engine. They took no responsibility for that. Simply dont go there. (if they read this they will remeber very well)

I called in and spoke with a gentleman named Nathan. He was very well informed and did not push me to come in to do unnecessary work on my vehicle, but instead spent a few quality minutes over the phone with me going over some common problem areas with my BMW. I was having an issue with vacuum leaks. This sort of honesty and genuine kindness is hard to come by. I will most definitely be servicing my vehicle here in the future. Complete confidence.

Ive been to this Midas location twice in the past 3 months and I have been extremely satisfied with the services they provide! Dale is honest and only did necessary work. I think most people are concerned about being taken advantage of when they visit a new mechanic, and I felt Midas only did what was truly needed to tune up or fix my car. Thanks Dale & team! Ill be back.

I would definitely recommend checking out midas on kingsway for an estimate before going to an expensive repair shop. The people are great and take you right under the car to show you whats wrong and explain how they are going to fix it. They are very knowledgeable and charge very fair prices. It is refreshing to find a trustworthy mechanic in vancouver!

was in a rush, Took car in to fix a sensor ended up with a bunch of stuff I did not need. things like spark plug leads, all cylinders were firing just fine. Hind site, I trusted them... looking at the bill later... wasnt needed.

These guys are awful. Waited 20 minutes after being on time for my appointment. They called an hour late to come pick my car up. Waited another 15 minutes to pick it up, and was charged more than I expected. Dont go here.
