DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!! I rented a minivan for 2 days and dropped the vehicle off after hours. After I dropped the keys into the lockbox, I realized that I left my cell phone in the back seat. IT TOOK ME A WEEK TO GET MY CELL PHONE BACK!!! First, I tried calling and no one seems to want to answer. After calling, the woman, Anne, said that they had not cleaned my car yet, but that she would tell them about the cell phone. Anne then advised me to call back in 2 hours. After calling back in 2 hours, Anne said, "we didnt find a cell phone in the back and the vehicle has already been rented". After I insisted that my cell phone was in the vehicle, Anne called the renter who did find the cell phone. Unbelievable! A layperson was able to find my cell phone but the "professional" people at Dollar could not! Anne said I can come pick up my cell phone the next day as that was the day the vehicle would be returned. Again, I called the next day (after already trying to get through ten times) and Anne said I would have to wait for the next day because the people didnt return the vehicle yet! I was not happy, and when I tried to point out to Anne that all of this could have been prevented if she had informed the cleaners to look for my cell phone BEFORE they rented it, she hung up on me. I called the Dollar Rent Car national customer service, I called BCAA who was the intermediary in this whole fiasco...All tried to get the Dollar Rent a Car (Thirty) at Seymour to respond and resolve my missing cell phone. They tried contacting the Manager, Joe, but he refused to get on the phone!! Finally, BCAA told me that the vehicle was at the Dollar Rent a Car at the airport. I called the Dollar Rent a Car at the airport, who then advised me that they found the cell phone, but because there were no notes in the system regarding the cell phone, they didnt hold the phone for me. Instead, "Joe" from the Seymour office went to pick it up. I then spent the next two days leaving messages on Joes cell phone to arrange to pick up my cell phone. Finally, after 8 DAYS!!!!, "Anne" emailed me to say to come pick up my phone. Once I got my phone, I noticed that someone had DELETED ALL MY CONTACTS AND PICTURES!! DOLLAR RENT A CAR ON SEYMOUR STREET are SHADY, RUDE, INEFFICIENT PEOPLE! DO NOT RENT FOR HERE!!!!!

Earlier reviews wrong i.e. that the business is not at this location. It is, and Ive been dealing with them here for a couple of years. Theyre always ready with the car Ive ordered, the price is right (I get a discount because Im a car co-op member), and if theres a dispute with the fee (sometimes a mistake is made if the car is returned after hours, and Ive been charged for a second day) they always correct it, and quickly. Staff is polite, cars are clean and good quality--high end compacts, fuel efficient. I like the location as its handy to transit (Canada Line/Sky Train a block away) and other downtown services/shopping/restaurants. Ill use them again.

I tried Dollar for the first time and the experience was poor. I prepaid for a Toyota Rav 4 and when I should up they didnt have one for me. So they gave me a Jeep with a Crack in the windscreen. The girl at the counter swiped my credit card without even telling me she was holding a deposit! I had to ask her why she was charging my card when it was prepaid. It also made me very nervous to sign the inspection agreement before seeing the car. I will be going back to Enterprise. Its more expensive but I always felt at ease. Dont rent from here!

great experience, used the "lock low and go" rate as I was going to go for a compact for the price. Got a bad-@$$ town and country with a blueray player and 5843759 seats inside and took my friends on a road trip, best use of pennies ever. Will use again.

Good prices online. But occasionally closed, or say they have no cars available, despite them being available online. Understaffed, always a long queue.

Hire car office. You have to walk to the lot where the cars are. They make you sign the inspection docket before you see the car which is dodgy.
