Going to this dealerships repair shop was the WORST decision of my life - if you love your car, run the other way!!!!!! Ive owned my Mazdaspeed protege for 9 years and it has been the BEST car - I had a check engine light come on for only 6 hours saying I had a lean engine and then went off and the car was totally fine but I decided to bring it into the dealership to diagnose anyways just to be proactive since I love my car. I was told a fuel pressure solenoid would fix it, spent $300 for the repair, and as I was driving home my check engine light came on (lean engine). I called the dealership back to advise them that my car had not been fixed, they said whoops we never actually looked , let us try again. Then I was told a $540 wastegate actuator would fix the car (they misquoted and it later became $640) and they had to order the part so I could come pick the car up in the meantime. As soon as I got in my car, there was a very foul smell and then turning onto the highway around the corner from the dealership, I pressed on my gas pedal only to have the car not accelerate! Then I came to a stop and the car died, I turned right around and the car died 10 more times on the way back to Destination Mazda. Each time it died. the check engine, battery, and oil lights all came on and I thought thats weird, I recently had an oil change so as soon as I got into their lot I popped the hood and checked my dipstick and THERE WAS NO OIL IN MY CAR - THEY COULD HAVE SEIZED MY ENGINE!!!! The mechanics cant tell me where the oil went or why the car was breaking down next thing I know Im being told my car is undrivable, a vacuum hose and another solenoid broke during their abusive "diagnostics" and theyre saying my turbo broke but they will try to fix it. I kept questioning what happened to my car? They could not provide me with any real diagnostic test results (besides basic scanner codes) and claim that its a "co-incidence" all this broke under their care. At this point I started calling Mazda Canada Head Office begging for their help (it has now been 6 weeks and I am still waiting for them do anything). Destination Mazda claims they fixed my car but if it ever does that again I will need a new turbo. So they give me back my keys and a block away I’m driving and notice my car has no boost. There was no way in hell I was going back to that location so I kept going with plans to search for another mechanic. 3 hours of driving later, my car loses acceleration and BREAKS DOWN AGAIN! I had to call a tow truck ($112), brought it to a different mechanic where they had to replace all the spark plugs, wire set, and ignition coils just to get it running again ($900) but the car still has no boost. I am now being told that my car is fixed but it’s going to be another $1,500 bill and Mazda has taken zero responsibility for their gross negligence. When I talked to their manager Oswald, he says to me: How would it look for business if we told you the car was unsafe? To which I said: Actually, it’s your responsibility to tell people when their car is unsafe to drive. THIS WHOLE SITUATION IS DISGUSTING, I AM GOING TO FILE A LAWSUIT because it is absolutely unacceptable that my car took such a beating, my travel plans have now been interrupted, and I am stuck with thousands of dollars in repair bills due to their screw up.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looked around 2 Mazda dealerships to purchase a 2014 Mazda 3 GS and was so dismayed at the customer service by these 2 local dealerships, I told myself if the next and last dealership was just as bad, I would just get an Acura ILX instead. Visited Destination Mazda on Thanksgiving: this dealership looks less refined than others but maybe it just looks humble and honest? To me, the more posh a place looks, the more I feel they have gouged into customers wallets and will likely dig into mine. After 10 min. of waiting, a sales agent (Anna) finally approached us. She is very well-mannered, patient and extremely easy to talk with. Later, she was assisted by Nash, the store manager who was equally pleasant to deal with and the one trying to lock down a deal with me. (Maybe I was being difficult? :D ) Since my new car took a few days longer to arrive, they did offer me a loan vehicle since my trade-in had problems with steering/parking. But eventually they were able to get it in and today I was able to get the keys to my new ride! I patted Anna on the back and thanked her for her great customer service. Would I come to Destination Mazda again? Sure. At least they do try to please! On a side note: ******My advice to all is, please do not think you can step into a dealership and try to get a great deal. There is no such thing; its like trying to win the Banker in Poker. You can only try to do your best to negotiate for the "best price" you would feel comfortable leaving with.****** All dealerships are looking for a way to make profit; THIS IS A FACT. Dealerships need to have profit to survive and to feed their employees. No one works for free, you dont, so why would they? Salespeople lowball you because these are the rules set by the dealership, not them. For trade-ins, deductions from your new vehicle and any "fees" – you need to bring your negotiating skills to the table. At the end of the day, you win some, yet you still lose some. Just do your homework before locking in on a deal and have ALL FEES explained to you. If it doesnt make sense, dont pay it.

Mazda Canada needs to shut down this dealership. Its very old, grungy, small, and slimy. The dealership has a service/parts incentive program where you can get a discount on future visits with their "special" free membership. The fact they need to lure people to this dealership speaks for itself. The service manager is some tough guy wanna be. He looks like hes one of those used car salesmen types that people avoid whenever they visit a car dealership. Seemingly, he cant wait for a confrontation. His office is very tiny and the service counter is also unprecedentedly small as well. I came in for a few things to be done, one of which was a 4 wheel brake service. Where the brake service normally takes around an hour, mine was done in less than 15 minutes. Then after driving it, my brakes became horribly noisy. The dealer also runs social network discounts of $25 of a service for $100 or more. Once again, this dealership is very very desperate to get customers. The dealerships hourly rate is slightly lower than other Mazda dealerships but its not by much. Apparently, the previous Mazda dealership that was at this location, Wolfe Mazda elected not to upgrade their facilities as required by Mazda. They sold the place to this "dirty" dealership. The parts department is good, but the service department is not trustworthy, especially the chinese lady. I cant go into details but believe me when I tell you this. The dealership techs have to cut corners for whatever reason. They may or may not upsell you on service or repairs. In summary, I will never ever return to this dealership again. Id rather take it to Canadian Tire over Destination Mazda, and you know how bad Canadian Tire can be?!!!
