i have only been there once, but my experience was fantastic. i have a 2005 BMW X3 manual, so it is getting a bit old -- inevitably after 12 years some parts are starting to have issues. unfortunately the hourly labour rate at dealerships is no longer an option for me, so i was shopping for a good mechanic, a trustworthy one. (being a woman makes that task a bit more difficult) after posting a note on my facebook page, i got a half dozen recommendations, including this one. all had stellar reviews, so i picked the one closest to me. i walked there one day, introduced myself, explained the problem i was having with my car, and made an appointment. i also shared my concern for trustworthiness as a female customer. maybe my shared concerns made a difference, but i tell you, i loved every bit of the service i received. i was explained thoroughly the immediate problem, i was given options and advices as to other services which i know i will soon require, and then i was even shown one of the parts that was causing the problem after it was removed (something my engineer dad would totally approve of). the gentleman who served me gave me total confidence. (thanks dave!) and my car is running great again! (love my car)

I run an Automotive business myself, albeit small. I have a lot of very satisfied customers and one thing I know, people that are satisfied typically dont say much - a thank you perhaps. But - they will keep coming back and tell their friends. This business has been around for years - since the 60s I believe. Not many shops in Vancouver can boast that. Obviously they are keeping people happy and doing things right. Anyone of my clients with a euro vehicle gets referred to Continental Repairs. The owners are knowledgeable and friendly. I wouldnt place much emphasis on the 1-star review listed here (note - guy posted it twice!), people seem to always say something bad before they say something good (online). Trouble shooting a vehicle can be difficult at times, guy should have discussed the matter with the owners rather than bad mouthing them online. Im sure they wont miss his business.

Earlier this week, my Dodge Caravan started smoking from underneath the hood while I was driving. Me, not having any auto mechanic knowledge panicked and pulled into Continental Repairs. I explained what had just happened and asked if someone could have a look at my American piece of junk, I mean, van. The gentleman I spoke to said they didnt work on American cars but would happily have a look at the problem to let me know if it would be safe for me to drive it to the nearest mechanic. So that was exactly what he did, and he gave me the name of a body shop that was within safe driving distance. I wish I had gotten the gentlemans name as he was friendly, caring, and professional. An import car for me next time around :))

Very well run shop! Great people all around, very knowledgeable with everything but especially VW/AUDI product. Have used their services whenever needed over the last 5 years and have always been very pleased with the high level of professionalism, quality of work, and competitive prices for labor/parts. Will continue to use Continental, and refer friends and colleagues too!

Was told I had a major oil leak that required the engine being taken out of the car to replace the damaged part and the cost would start at $3,000 and 3-4 days. I took my car to Audi instead who took two hours to actually diagnose the problem and it turns out its a $1.50 part that was installed incorrectly after my previous oil change. Thank god I got a second opinion!!!
