Dont let the phony reviews they posted at the bottom fool you. These guys are crooks. This was hands down the worst experience renting a vehicle I have ever had. Firstly, they are liars. If you dont read the rest of this review just know that you are dealing with LIARS... and the vehicles are garbage. The details: I booked a BMW X-5 for a weekend trip to Kamloops as my BMW was in the shop for repair. They assured me it was a luxury vehicle, which as a BMW owner I knew what to expect and felt the price they quoted me was reasonable. I was instructed to pick it up at 10:00am on Friday morning. When I arrived, there was a sign on the door that said back in 15 minutes with a phone number. I called the number and got no answer so I went to starbucks across the street and killed some time. At 10:15 I finally receive a call back. As it turns out, the BMW was in an accident. It was still driveable apparently but they had not noticed the damage until just then as they were calling me. (needless to say it was not clean, had no fuel in it and was of course... damaged enough that they felt I may not want to drive it... And they were right. The bumper was hanging off the front of the vehicle and a good stiff bump would have likely knocked it right off. (Luxury weekend vehicle indeed). Their solution was to offer me a different vehicle, an Escalade. WHich, was also dirty, had no fuel and not in the best shape... but they said even though this vehicle was "nicer" theyd honor the same price as the X-5. With no options at this point as I needed to get on the road to salvage my weekend plans, I agreed to accept this as a substitute. They assured me that I would receive a credit for the fuel that I put in and if there was more fuel in the vehicle than when I picked it up, I would be receiving a credit for that. SO... I picked the vehicle up with under a quarter tank... I filled it (For $100!!!) When I returned the vehicle there was 3/4 of a tank left. Tony, said that because the vehicle had bugs on the windows, it took them way longer to clean so he would call it square and not charge us for cleaning the vehicle... What?? I have never in my life rented a car where I was back-charged for cleaning a rental car. We had left nothing in the vehicle, it was in no worse shape than when we picked it up (except the $75 of extra gas in it). When I argued this point he then claimed that we used more kilometers than allowed. We purchased 800 kilometers... The trip is 355 kilometers each way - so we were WELL under our limit. I explained this to him. His next response was epic. "We are nice guy - we do good business - we are square". Summary: The vehicle was not what we were promised - even if the BMW was not damaged, it was a dirty damaged beater. We were "upgraded" to a gas guzzling piece of garbage which was also dirty and had no gas in it. Neither vehicle would have had gas nor been cleaned for us when we picked it up so it appears we are expected to fuel it, clean it and eat the cost of extra gas when returned. They promise to work it all out after, but they are LIARS.

The last 2 reviews were clearly written by the owner himself. Best Price Car Rentals is a shady place ran by a shady owner with terrible customer service skills. On top of that, they will try to ruin your trip and bank account by sneaking untold charges at the end of your trip. Since my girlfriend was an under age driver, we didnt have many choices in Vancouver for car rental. We came to this place because there doesnt seem to be any negative reviews and the owner sounded pretty promising on the phone. This guy Tony promised a certain amount of $$ for a day, it included insurance, tax, third party.....everything. So when we got there in the morning, I paid the price in full for 5 days. Then they told my girlfriend it was "OK" to smoke in the car, as long as its not "too much". Wow! So far so good right? These people really seem to be giving us a break here! Their big smiles and promises really lighten up the day! Wrong. How naive of us to have trusted them. First, our car ran out of battery for no apparent reason. (Nothing was running, we were parked at a gas station, then it wouldnt start) So, when we got back, we told the owner about it. He did not apologize, show any sort of sympathy, or offer any compensation. Instead, he said it was our fault for whatever reason that the car died. There was nothing wrong with their car, and we should be more careful next time. Note that, this car actually died on the last customer as well. (They told us at the beginning of the trip, because we needed a "code" for the radio panel) Half way through our conversation, two "pretty girls in mini-skirt" walked in the shop. Instantly, Tony shifted his attention to these two girls and made us wait for another 30 minutes while he flirted and creeped on these 2 poor birds. Then, Tony pointed out that they apparently "missed" the insurance coverage charges when I paid in the beginning of the trip. Which is completely non-sense, because that is way more than the price he promised earlier. As he gets more and more frustrated that I wouldnt fall for his sneaky little tricks, He all of a sudden raised the cleaning fee from $50 to $150. Then insisted that we heard the price wrong earlier. Which is non-sense, because even his associate told us later on that the $150 price was a fraud. We ended up talking to his associate and made some sort of sloppy deal. We were clearly ripped off, but was too tired to keep arguing with these liars. I have never thought renting cars can be such a hassle. Thanks, "Best Price Car Rentals" for ruining my car renting experiences. I will never trust a car renter again in my life unless it is my relatives. For any under age drivers who are looking to rent cars from them, STAY AWAY, and take the bus!

You couldnt pay me to do business here again. This is how it all started: I made a rez over the phone with Tony and I had to call a few days later to ask for a confirmation email which took him some time to find. Did you lose it? Dont tell me it ended up in your junk inbox. I called the day prior to ask if the car was available to pick up a night earlier and he said yes. This was a guaranteed make and model. We get to the counter, he pre-authorizes my CC and finishes up the paperwork and only as were approaching the car lot does he let us know that he doesnt have our car. For gods sake what a waste of time. Were already strapped in for time at that point and he "complimentary upgrades" us to to another car. Let me tell you about this car: 3/8 gas tank, bullseye crack in the windshield, trash and stains in the interior (never mind an array of dirt in all compartments), step rails to climb into the car were broken, the tire pressure lights went off the entire trip, the latch for the trunk was disconnected from the cable therefore forcing us to use the hatch (at least it had a hatch), 196,xxx KMs the tire treads were absolutely not suitable for driving up to Whistler, and worst of all the smoke smell was so horrid my family and I had to pullover multiple times to combat the headaches and nausea. Tonys excuse, "it doesnt matter, it runs." Zero customer service and zero solutions. Throws fifty dollars on the table as compensation and says "Im a business man Im not here to lose money."
