Worst customer service Ive ever received. "Lance" will do anything to prove "the rules are the rules" and the customer is wrong. I recently returned a bike rental and as soon as we realized the key for the bike lock was still in my friends pocket (who just caught a flight to Toronto), I promptly paid the $50 and said I would ask my friend to mail me the key, at which point Lance & Co. agreed they would refund the $50. As soon as I received the key in the mail, I promptly walked next door to the Granville location to return it. "Lethargic Lance" informs me that he cut the lock; and because of his stupidity he would not refund the $50 that he and his team promised the week prior. I since had to wait over a week for the store manager to call me to tell me the exact same thing as Lethargic Lance (I refer to him as LL as he couldnt care less about customers or his job really). In such a competitive Car Share environment, the fact that LL and his dopy manager wouldnt budge on $50 for the sake of a "regular customer" is frankly naïve in my opinion, and shows a serious lack of business sense. I definitely dont need the $50; however in an industry that is flooded with car share programs competing for our loyalty - I will make sure to never recommend, nor rent from, Access Rent A Car ever again.

The worst car rental experience ever. Its a total rip-off. Check the tires carefully before renting a car because it seems these people are professionals in somehow finding a nail in your tire and then charging you for 500$! We rented a Nissan Versa for three days; the car tended to steer to the right from the start. We thought it was due to a previous accident. But on the day of returning the car, one of the associates informed us that we had two flat tires and noticed a nail in one of the tires in less than five seconds (wow! keen eyes!). Now they are charging us for 500$ to replace the rear and front tires because they claim one of them to be non-repairable. Two flat tires for six hours of driving in three days in the city of Vancouver (and not the Rocky Mountains)! The funny part is that when we first given the car we asked how to use the spare tire and was told that no one had yet to use one and hopefully you wouldnt either! Now I can see where that came from.

My friend suggested me this rental company in Vancouver because I needed a car equipped with winter tires to drive around Jasper and Banff. I decided to give them a try and now I can testify that I had a very pleasant experience, since the beginning. For personal reasons, I also have changed the rental dates several times and they always replied me with openness to reschedule and even kept the best prices available. The car was delivered to me in a very good condition and offered me an incredible experience across Canada. Alan Braun, the manager, is absolutely keen to make customers feel satisfied. For travellers, it is a big pleasure to find people working with happiness, kindness and open dialogue, even when it comes to doubts experienced after the car return. This team is absolutely fabulous!!! Thank you for everything, Access Rent a Car! :)

Great place. Great prices. Great staff members. I needed a car for a week to tourist around British Colombia and Seattle. After searching on expedia and walking around a few car rental companies, Access offered me the best deal for the rent! The price was very reasonable (considering that I wanted to go to a lot of cities), the staff was very friendly and helped me with all my doubts. And the rent procedure was quick and accurate. I was ready for the road in no time! The car was brand new, clean and very comfortable. Also, I needed to drop the car off at the airport and their fee was the cheapest one I found. The employee who waited for me there was very nice and the agreement was closed in no time. Im very happy with the rental and Ill recommend them to all my friends who decide to visit Vancouver. It made my trip even more special.

When we rent a car, it was pretty good. But few weeks later we got into the trouble. My friend said to me she couldt get back deposit when she checked credit cards bill. So we visited the office and one member of staff explained that we didnt fill up fuel so it charged. But when we contract the car nobody explained about that important thing, even next day this office never noticed us before charge the additional fee :( So my friend felt so embarrassed when she got the bill 1 month later. Actually, my friends didnt check the contract paper and just sign on there. It is true and it can be our fault too. But i disappointed to staff cuz they didnt tell us the whole contract contents and not say sorry to us:(

Manager is a thief, I tried to cancel the booking 20 minutes after placing it and wasnt told on phone theres a cancellation fee for less than 48 hours. Manager lied twice when I was asked for my card number to "keep the car on hold" and used it to charge me $150. Manager lied again when bank called claiming he told me about the cancellation fee verbally, while I first knew about it when I received the confirmation email. STAY AWAY. Even Budget is a better option. Edit: manager lies again, bank said its hard to prove such cases when done over the phone.

We were staying in Vancouver for the long weekend and were looking to rent a car to drive up the sea to sky but found renting a car for a reasonable price was nearly impossible, finally our concierge recommended us Access and we found booking the rent very straightforward, they even delivered the car to the hotel. We were also alowed to drive the car back to the airport where they had arranged their employee to pick it up and we encountered nothing but friendly service and support from Alan and the team, thank you guys!

I got a fair priced car quickly, and left with a smile on my face. They staff is super friendly, funny, and helpful. Theyd offer services but never pushed anything I didnt want. They explained the lease clearly and quickly. And when I returned the car and there was a scratch on it they didnt notice before, they did NOT try to say it was me who did it (I didnt). Most other places wouldve charged an absurd amount of money for that. I dont normally write reviews, but this was so out-of-the-ordinary good, I just had to!

The car was very new and just as booked. After some initial misunderstandings the owner really made an effort to resolve the issue which I very much appreciate. Just be aware that in Canada it is common that taxes and insurance are not included in the initial calculation. The final price was therefore higher than I expected and may come as a surprise for other Europeans, however this is probably the case for other car rental companies as well.

Excellent service !!!! I come to this company at least 10 times per year. Alan took great care of me this last time I was here. He was caring, made sure that everything was alright, and even got me a ride back to my hotel. If you want a great and streamline experience, call to this company. You will not be disappointed ... By the way, if you want not 21, like between 19-20, it will be your right choice to rent a car in Greater Vancouver Area
