Took my 2008 Fd Ranger in for a check-up yesterday. When I made the appointment a week in advance, I told the service department that I was getting some severe squealing from the front end which I wanted checked in case it was damaging the wheels. These notes were on the to-do form when I arrived, and I was told to return in 2 hours or when notified on my cell. I mentioned to the service staffer that the squealing was associated with wheel rotation and that it usually (but not always) started at highway speed. When I showed up at the service bay 2 1/2 hours later, the truck was sitting in the yard. According to the staff, the service mech had driven around the yard but had not heard any noises. So no further investigation! I asked why not, and was told that the service mech wasnt qualified for that. I asked whether another team member could help and was told that he was busy but "maybe" in a couple of hours. Seeing that I had driven up from Courtenay for the appointment and it was getting on for 4pm, that wasnt a good option. So I asked why the qualified tech wasnt on this job .... the reason - he was busy on another job that had run overtime. I was unhappy! I had given advance notice of the squeak problem and as much info as I could about it, but no arrangements to investigate had been made .... and to top it off, the truck squealed like mad all the way back to Courtenay. Grrrrr!

This was the best dealership by far. As soon as my husband and me walked on the lot they were there to help us with anything we wanted to look at. Our sales man (cris) was great and very helpful and very professional. We ended up buying a new f150 that day even though we said to our selfs that we were only going to look that day. We have looked at lots of trucks and different dealerships in the past month and again Steve Marshall ford was the best by far on how they treated us and got us the best deal on a truck that we love. All the employees there were great to deal with and we will definitely be going back for our services and when the time comes to get another vehicle we will be going back also. This was a very good experience for us and they were not pushy at all it made us feel very relaxed on making the right choice for us. I would highly recommend if your in the market for a vehicle to go see them they wont let you down.

Terrible service department. They dont know which end is up. Made an appointment days in advance to have the car serviced. Was given a date and time. Showed up on time for the appointment and left my car. Four hours later I called for an update (was told it would take two hours to work on it) and was told they hadnt gotten to it yet, but was told it would be done ASAP. Called back three hours later and was told theyd work on the car the next day. Service advisor was confused as to why I wanted to go to another mechanic, told me that "Were backed up and cant work on everyones car today". Whats the point in making an appointment and dropping it off when the service dept opens if you cant get to it before it closes. Dont let me bring it in on Thursday and have to leave it for you to start on it on Friday. My time is worth more than that. Please pull your heads out of your rectums.

My experience at your brand new beautiful building was very good. I was complaining about a rattling sound. I had mentioned that it sounded like it came from the back wheels, but I told the admitting girl that others had said it sounded like it was coming from the front, and that is what she wrote down. The service man didnt hear anything, however I still do. It was suggested that it could be my tires as they need replacing in the near future, but it sounds to me more than that. I didnt respond to this review when it was first sent to me because I want to find a man to drive my car and give me a second opinion. We purchased 2017 Ford Escape. The experience was very positive starting with our salesperson Nick. Some salespeople can come across as very pushy, but that was not the case here. Nick listened to what we wanted in a new vehicle and showed us exactly what we asked for the first time. We really enjoyed working with Nick. We especially liked the 2 shopping bags. We had an equally positive experience with the finance manager, parts and service staff. If we had one negative comment it would be that we found the insurance agent to be a bit pushy and did not fully answer our questions. In the end we ended up with more insurance than we would normally have purchased. That said we did not view her as part of the sales team.

This was my first time purchasing form Steve Marshall Ford and it was a great experience. I drove up from Duncan and it was well worth it. Every single person a dealt with was professional, polite and positive. From the salesman right up through management. They had an awesome used truck that needed some repairs. They fully inspected and repaired it. Now its like new! They where open and honest the whole way through. I looked around for months and finally got exactly what I wanted.The price I paid was totally fair. It took me years to figure out that a fairly priced vehicle backed by a reputable company, is way better than a super cheap vehicle backed by a nobody. Thanks to Martin, Shane and Karl !

After going through financial hardship after a divorce 7 years ago I tried to get a vehicle loan with no success. I went into Steve Marshall Ford and with a co-signer I was able to purchase a brand new vehicle through Ford Credit. A few years later I traded that vehicle in on another new one with financing again through Ford Credit and this time I did not require a co-signer. For my first experience at this spanking new dealership I was greeted by a friendly smiling service rep. named Sarah who explained their quick oil change to me and as I was next in line I decided to have my service done a.s.a.p while I enjoyed a coffee in their comfortable waiting area. Within 20 minutes Sarah came out to inform me that the work was done and pointed out that all was well with my vehicle. She offered to take me to the cashier after presenting my bill which by the way was very reasonable. After going over my invoice and paying same I vowed that I would return as I found the service here as fast, friendly straight forward at a very reasonable price!
