I called in for a quote to mount tires that I had planned to purchase online. Kevin quickly gave me a quote and took the time to answer all of my questions. He was very patient and explained the pros vs cons of online tire buying (no warranty, lifetime service, balacing, rotation or road-side assistance). I soon realized that buying tires from them would save me money over the 5 years theyre supposed to last. Kevin kindly offered me deals on tires at different price points. I decided to go in and check them out. I was greeted by both Kevin and Trevor who led me around the shop, explaining the choices of tires I had. During the whole experience there was no pressure or up-selling of the expensive options. Instead they gave me a great deal on Maxxis Victra UHP tires which are fantastic all-season tires. I even had a set of winter tires that I traded in, saving myself even more money. Overall the service was professional and the package they offered (free balancing, free rotation, free lifetime flat/repair warranty, free tire dressing, free 1-year roadside assistance) was impossible to beat. I would definitely recommend going to Big O for new or used tires. Thank you guys! Here is a second review (3 years later) for another set of wheels and tires: Had Big O Tires put on a new set of tires and wheels and I highly recommend them. Great prices and very customer oriented. Thanks to Kevin and Lucas for helping me choose the perfect wheels for my vehicle. I love the look and ride of them.

i had just bought my first car so i had never been to a mechanic before. i had this fear that i hear all the time that mechanics will make up stuff to make money off you. When i bought my car the seller told me that one thing needs to be fixed is the inner tie rod which is what he was told by his mechanic, and the cost would be around 500-600. so when i went in to big o tires (with my money in hand)i told them that i need my inner tie rods done and asked how much it would cost. before he could give me an estimate he asked me what makes me think that thats what needs to be done and i told him its what the seller told me. so instead of him giving me an estimate and getting the job done for around the price i mentioned above, he recommended that i do a front end inspection which will tell what the problem is if there is one and will only cost me 50 dollars with tax. when i came back to pick up my car the mechanic tells me that nothing is wrong and that everything was tight and working fine. so instead of him agreeing with me that i needed to replace my tie rods and wouldve cost me a lot of money, it only cost me 50 to find out nothing actually needed to be done. Thank you so much for your honesty big o tires on johnson st. this is my first review ever! so you know it means a lot for me to take my time out and do this. This is now the place i will go for all my mechanical needs. honesty goes a long way.....

They do decent work. Ive had alignments done here. But I likely wont be going back. A newer tech aligned my truck (he was likely learning, which is necessary - and takes longer) it took longer than it had before at this particular shop. And thats fine. That particular tech ruined an insignificant wheel ring which is no big deal. The shop offered to find one. The issue that stuck out to me is that the service writer said "Ill knock some time off your bill" which was unusually long and likely partially spent trying to fix the wheel ring / the newer tech learning to perform an alignment. Newer techs are paid less and as a customer I dont mind jobs taking longer and small issues... But talking to me like Im a goof and trying to spin me a "good deal" because it appears I dont understand the situation is not something that I value as a customer.

I had the pleasure to be served by Trevor and his team when I went in for a tire alignment and he found that my mechanic did some work that was unsafe for my vehicle. Not only did he do a FANTASTIC and HONEST job fixing my van, he kept his shop and employee open 90 mins late so that I would have my vehicle for that day as they were closed on Sunday. He didnt want to see me left without my van for one day later. We had agreed on a price and when he found one more problem, he charged me only for the parts and not one bit more of labour even though they stayed longer. Where can you find that type of service these days? What a stand up kind of guy he is!! Trevor and his team at Big O has my business from here on in and I am proud to be his customer. Please choose him as your service, you wont be disappointed. Thank you Trevor!!

Went in for an emergency flat repair right at closing time. Excellent, fast, friendly service in spite of the time. Tire carcass was damaged from driving on the flat too long before changing to the emergency tire. Luckily they had just received two trade-ins of the same tire type the day before, with similar wear to the existing tires. They charged a fair price for the replacement and labour and, without being asked, checked tire pressure on the emergency tire and remaining good tires. Also had a good experience there a couple of years ago getting all-season tires for my daughters car. Same good value and service and the tires turned out to be excellent ... surprisingly good in the snow for all-seasons. Will go back when the time comes.

What a great place to buy tires and to know that I got the best deal on great tires from some smart people! Customer service was awesome! A very knowledgeable staff that gave me several options, explaining each price point, what I got for my money and the pros and cons of each tire. They were patient with me and understood my needs. This was my first time buying the Big O brand and I love them! Big O it is from now on! I have purchased two sets of tires from this store and each time was a great experience! I cant wait to but more tires ;0)... To top it off they have wifi, coffee and good food within walking distance!

I just read the "response from owner" on the 2 star review. Glad to see them standing up for honesty, but I certainly wouldnt go with these guys. If you underchage a full year previous to a bad review, you shouldnt hunt them down for more cash, thats just being petty. What you invoice is what you get paid. Plus, posting the personal payment details of a customer on a public website contravenes the PIPA act, specifically s.18(1). I am not the customer in the original review, but if I were them, I would report this breach right away, there may be grounds for a lawsuit.

I had a major problem with a mainland Nissan dealer selling me knock-off rims, didnt fit hubs, wheel flew off in Boston Bar and stripped bolts, etc. Nissan refused to accept responsibility but these guys GAVE me a proper rim, and machined the other three so the same problem wouldnt happen - waaay over their responsibility - I have been a very happy customer ever since - that was 7 years ago !!! They give me the best service on a drop in basis (perfect for me coming in from Salt Spring) - and great prices with follow-up service - what more could you ask for???
