poor poor place we went to reserve a car we were there one hour before the store closes ,but the store was closed after waiting about 40 min the lady came opened the store but by than outside was crowded people were waiting to drop off their keys and cars ,while we were waiting inside store a gentleman came and talked with the old lady who works there and they decided to go on a date at 5:15 hrs ,after last customer left was our turm and there was.10 min to close store ,the old lady asked us if we had reservation i said No but im here to reserve,she didnt even check her computer and she says No i cant help you if u dont have a reservation i said well im here i want to reaerve one she said No i cant why dont you go down the road to National rent a car ,wow wow what a customer service I WOULD NEVER EVER RENT FROM THEM AGAIN VERY BAD FOR AVIS LADY IS RUDE SHE SHOULDNT BE WORKING IN CUSTOMER SERVICE STAY AWAY

We went here on a Saturday in January. The guy did not accept my VISA Premier card as a credit card. He said it was not a credit card, even if my bank confirmed me it was indeed a credit card. Our friends tried other credit card from Europe, but none were accepted here. The guy said it could work if we paid an insurance. So we had to pay an insurance because Avis is not able to accept our credit card. I do not know if it is because the staff was undertrained or the machine dont work properly. When we went to Budget, we did not have this problem. So I advise any european people with credit card to go to Budget instead of this Avis.

The place where they have one best and one worst ppl working together. Richard is the person who did a great job but Laura is the sickest person in the earth to work with customer service. Absolutely no care towards customers need. Initially when I booked the car Richard said they will drop if I come closer to the closing time. When around 15 mins before closing time, Laura said she cant give a ride. Its not her problem if I reach home or not. Since I had some stuffs in the car I couldnt able to take transit. Sucha sick place to rent car. Never going again. Sorry Avis you lost one of your customer

"We Go The Extra Mile" is the slogan. Well after popping in to tell the woman on reception I was parking up and dropping my keys, the moment Id left she decided that now would be a good time to go the extra mile by leaving the shop for 45 minutes. I had to stand outside on the street with my family waiting for me, before I could drop keys off which she knew was about to happen. She gave no apology when I raised this on her return. Unbelievable attitude. There are plenty of other car hire places nearby.

I had a bad experience and dont recommend using this car rental company. I used my reward points to book a car for 3 days. I decided I needed an extra day. The website said that a compact car is $30/day and $15 late fee per day. I was one day late, so expected to pay around $45 plus tax. However they charged my credit card $216!!!! When I phoned to complain they said that they would take care of it, but never did and refused to answer my calls. Im going to complain to the head office.

Asked if we could book a car with snow tires before we booked a trip to Tofino, which can get bad in the winter along one of the passes. But just 2 weeks later, the manager said their policies changed and cannot meet our request anymore. No apology or solution offered and said we need to pay extra for chains if we wanted them. I see passenger safety is un important to Avis, Victoria.

The guy (apparently the manager at this location) is very unprofessional in terms of customer service. He seems to be rude because he never smiles. Other places in Victoria such as Hertz and Budget offer reliable cars like Toyota, Nissan, Ford, etc... but this location only offers cheap and poorly made Hyundai and Kia vehicles for middle size and full size.

I had such a great experience with Avis last weekend. Peter (a lovely man at the counter) was super helpful and friendly that made me feel happy for the day. Car was really clean and location was right in Downtown. I enjoyed everything that they offered me in renting the car. I will definitely choose Avis next time as well. Thank you so much!

Ive always had the best service from Richard. Best rental agent Ive ever dealt with, cars always great and he works hard to off upgrades where available. Sometimes staff are on a break or lunch, but that has never impacted my rental. Avis has always been preferred over enterprise and other lower end rental places.

She didnt answer any question I asked, went into a tangent about something else, lied to me and hung up on me twice. I recorded the conversation and will be sending it to the head office.
