I feel my 1 star experience today was not because of the sales person we had did anything wrong, but rather that we had a higher expectation of what Westwood Honda had to offer after reading so many positive reviews. My girlfriend and I had done quite a bit of research on the new Ridgeline so we were keen to give it a try. As soon as walking into the sales centre a sale person approached us and asked how they could help. Our answer of course was we want to test drive the Ridgeline. Now this is where the problem is because our experience with Mr. Sharif was not an experience at all. He asked us no questions. Perhaps: "What got you thinking about upgrading your vehicle?", or "What are you driving now?", or "What made you gravitate towards a Honda Ridgeline?", but sadly, none of these questions were asked. As a salesperson, it is very hard to sell someone something if you do not know what they are looking for or why. He was unable to make a case for any of the features that the car has. Luckily, that was not a problem as during our entire experience not one feature of the car was brought up. When I asked how to open the rear window twice the sales person fumbled and ultimately didnt answer the question. In fact, his knowledge of the vehicle seemed a bit superficial. We love to adventure, so really this car is perfect, but there are a few competitors to it so when we arrived back from the test ride we sat down with Mr. Sharif and we got our first question of our entire visit which was "Which one are you buying today?". This was when I said that we were interested in a couple of vehicles, the new Ridgeline, or maybe even a used one, or we were also looking at the Element (all of which are Hondas). To which our sales person looked surprised and said he was confused, which I can not be sympathetic to, as he was only confused because he asked no questions to us in the first place. The tone soured at this point from our sales person as I believe he felt like he was wasting his time. We picked up on that tone and left. Now lets back track. If we were asked "Are you looking at any other cars?" we would have openly said what we were thinking. To which a sales person could have said "Great, so you want to buy a Honda, have you owned one before?" "What are you planning to use the car for? "Well the used cars you are looking at are good cars but this new Ridgeline has x,y, and z feature that may work slightly better for you." I do not feel these criticisms are harsh because we are talking about a lot of money, with base models running in at $35,000 and higher specs coming in at $50,000. We wanted to come in, have our research reaffirmed, learn about what post sales service looks like with a new Honda, and maybe even buy a car. But because of how little care was taken in the experience, we left thinking you know what maybe right now is not the right time to buy or perhaps we should look into something different. On the car ride home we reviewed our experience and asked if our experience would have been different with a different sales person. And I can confidently say yes. While we were waiting to test ride, a super friendly young man (20-24 I would say) walks past and asks if we had been helped, which we said yes to. He could see that we were playing with some of the features of the car and asked friendly but pointed questions that showed us why it is the right car for us. He seemed very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the vehicle. The people on the front line make all the difference and in this case, I feel we simply didnt receive a very positive sales experience. Edit: The sales manager called very promptly after the review to reach out and apologize for our experience. It is nice to see that they take the store reputation seriously, and that the level of care and confidence in that care is present. Edit 2: Mckenzie and his manager are awesome. Prompt with any responses and a straight shooter. I have not purchased a truck yet, but if you are headed into Westwood Honda give McKenzie a shout.

I am 22 years old and was looking to buy a brand new 2014 car, which is a pretty big commitment for anyone and I was extremely nervous. I had been shopping around all the different dealerships, but have always had my eye on a Honda Civic. I walked in to Westwood Honda and got greeted instantly by their friendly staff at door who found out what I needed and immediately directed me to a sales associate. From there I had the pleasure of working with Lynn. We took a look at all the different Honda Civics (which I had no idea there were more than one..... Embarrassing) and compared them to which would suit my needs and budget. In really enjoyed being able to sit in the car and have the sales associate SELL me the car. She explained all of the cool features in and out, but for me the most important .... Safety. When it came time to test drive the exact car I wanted, which ended being a 2014 white Honda Civic EX (no KMs) there was not one available on the lot. Lynn then went to double check and soon, one of the managers, Colin, came out and offered to have me test drive the model that was in the show room! Definitely made me feel special! It is important that I stress that I tend to ask ALOT of questions and I am impressed with how patient and informative Lynn was in getting literally, ALL of the answers. Not once did any of the team members try and up sell a different model or pressure me into more add ons when I was not interested. There were a few that I did go for and I would highly recommend to anyone purchasing a new car (the package with the extra coat on top of the car, the coat on the seats and the under coat for the corrosion) very practical! When is came down to all of the paper work, I expected it to be overwhelming and confusing ..... Not the case at all. They gave me several options on what to do with my car....trade it in towards the new car, take cash for it, even sell I to. My own (which not one dealership I had been to suggested). I decided to take cash for it because I am a student and could use the money! They gave me an even better price than I expected :) Overall, I do not have a single negative to say about my experience at Westwood Honda, every staff member I had come in contact with was a delight to be around. I truly feel I can trust them and will continue to shove there for next purchase! As for Lynn.... Westwood Honda, keep her! In hope you know how great she is. Thank you Lynn and the rest of the team!

I originally had a deal pending on a 2012 Accord EXL at Surrey Honda but decided to wander my way down to Westwood and check out what they had to offer just because I was in the area. When I came in, Tony greeted me promptly and after explaining to him my situation, we sat down and talked briefly. After telling him my budget and how frustrated I was with Surrey Honda for not making a single effort to work around it, Tony worked out some numbers with the sales manager (forgot his name unfortunately), and eventually worked out an amazing deal on a brand new 2014 Accord Touring for under my budget! After spending the whole day at Westwood Honda, my boyfriend and I decided we were going to can Surrey Hondas horrible customer service and its sky high prices, and go with the 2014 Accord at Westwood instead. After the decision had been made, we then had to go through Heather at finances and that was a whole other story. She talked WAY too much and wasted our time trying to convince us to get warranties after denying them to start with. After we had sent in our information for a credit check, she told us she would call us within the hour, but waiting 2 and a half odd hours with no call, my boyfriend and I had to call back only to find out we had been accepted immediately - meaning that my bf and I had wasted 2 and a half hours doing nothing. Two weeks later, Honda had been due to withdraw the first payment for my car and after checking my bank statements, I saw that Honda took a payment withdrawal for not only the Accord, but as well my OLD 2011 Civic that I had traded in - meaning I no longer had. So of course, we had to cross the Portmann and go back to Westwood to settle things with Heather again, only to have been given a number to Honda Canada and be told that we had to do this ourselves, seeing as this "rarely ever happens". Frustrated with her terrible service, we came out to speak to the General Sales Manager (forgot his name as well....) who immediately admitted Heathers mistake and promptly called Honda Canada FOR us. All in all, the sales side was wonderful and we would definitely recommend coming to Westwood Honda for all purchases, but on the finance side, Heather was HORRIBLE and completely unprofessional. If shes new, she definitely needs re-training because my experience with her was very bad and left a bitter taste in my mouth. 3/5 for her but definitely 5/5 for Tony and the Sales Managers.
