Drove 45mins (one-way) to check out one of their pre-owned F350s on the lot with intention of trading in my 2013 F150 FX4 which was in mint condition. The add on Metro Fords website included pictures of the truck which showed it to be in very good condition, the description also made no negative comments in regards to the condition of the vehicle, in fact it noted that the truck had gone through their service department and had been "completely reconditioned". In short, I was lead to believe that the truck was in good-to-excellent condition from the listing on their webpage. Before I left, I called and spoke with a salesman whom confirmed the truck was on the lot and available to look at. I informed him I would be driving there that afternoon. Again, no mention was made as to the condition of the truck. I arrived on the lot and identified the truck in the pre-owned section. I opened the door and immediately viewed the paneling on the door falling off, holding on only by the wires for the power windows. The plastic console around the steering wheel was also falling apart. The front and back seats had large oil stains throughout and the truck had never been cleaned and was extremely dirty with large amounts of dirt and grime throughout the cab. Most concerning to me was the amount of rust running along the entire passenger side of the truck along the bottom, including the doors. The rust had obviously been painted over with a white pebbled paint in an attempt to hide the severe rust and damage done to the door and side of the truck. I went and located the salesman I had spoken to previously, voicing my concerns as to the condition of the truck and questioning not only why FORD would allow a truck in such poor condition to be on the lot for sale, but how they could possibly ask $28,000 for it!!!! He chose that time to point out that they had put a new windshield in the truck, but agreed that perhaps the truck belonged on a wholesale lot and that the truck may reflect poorly on the dealership. This episode wasted about 2 hours of my day. The truck was mis-represented online by the dealership. I am most concerned that an obvious effort was made to hide the rust either before or after the truck had been traded in to the Ford Dealership. Either way, this truck does not belong on the lot and it brings disrepute to the dealership and the FORD brand. I would never deal with this dealership again and would warn others to steer clear. Ive written this review about a week after my visit to the dealership and just checked to confirm that the truck remains on their website for sale!

They didnt stick to their quote and didnt follow up on promises ! Update Mon Jul 17 2017 Metro replied back today (see below). A simple check up turns into a night mare! In response, first of all I spoke to three people before posting this to Google. First to Chris (Truck shop), then Dave (the manager) then Dimitri, the assistant manager. Nobody seemed to care that I was cheesed off and when I brought up the matter of an adjustment of a mere 45.00, it was totally ignored! Second, I was actually quoted 149.00 if the truck needed an alignment, and if not I would be charged 12 hour on the rack. As it turns out, there was nothing wrong other than a simple steering shock, which I supplied and the mechanic quickly bolted on. I should have done it myself. Third, 200.00 is, actually quite a lot of money when you consider most of the time was wasted and theres nothing wrong with the truck..... Again, this vehicle came in for a simple checkup...and nothing more. I tried working this out in person in the first place, right there on the spot and nobody was willing to listen. Now that its posted on Google, these guys are in Damage Control Mode. You need to turn youre hearing aids up and screw your heads on !!!!!! Next time somebody is cheesed off like this, youll think twice. UPDATE #2: This morning I got a phone call from David who is the service manager, saying hell give me back my money, IF I take these comments down from Google! Wow! This is really bad! I refused to accept his payment on those grounds. If I decide to edit my story, perhaps, but asking me to take it down, only means they have something to hide. This is freedom of speech and if he really wants comments removed, then maybe they should have treated me right in the first place then there wouldnt be a need to post. ******** READ MORE BELOW FOLKS ********** Hey Ill never go back there again! We sent one of our guys over there to the truck shop for a 45 buck wheel check and he came away with a 200.00 bill !!! Just a bunch of "trumped up" (not you Donald) fees and charges made up as they go along sort of thing. Bullsh##T !! Didnt stick to their quote and failed on any followup promises as well.

I presented quite a challenge to every dealership I went into in the fact I was trying to lower my payment in an 14 Explorer that i had for 4 months. However after reading up on some things, I decided a consolidated loan was in play. It made more sense for both me and my spouse. So with that over 3 days I travelled from Richmond to Coquitlam, trying to find a truck that wouldnt break the bank and that i loved. Finally, after taking home a ram for an evening and thinking it over. I realized I only wanted an F-150. So I went to every ford dealer from Richmond - Coquitlam again rethinking my process. So after being told "it was impossible" or "eh we just dont have that time." Finally I got on the phone one night with dave matheson at Metro Ford and he explained i could be done. As I walked in this dealership the big sign shows they are #1 in sales in the lower mainland for ford. I should have just looked that up and went there in the first place. I came close to a deal in our first meeting but no truck, because the one that would have worked was sold. Nonetheless, I went and looked elsewhere not hearing back from them until 10 oclock. The dealership closes at 9. I was close to a deal in burnaby in a basic XLT with a few extras. Sales Manager Peter texts me and says to come in the morning and work something out. I did just that, Peter had a deal in place on a truck that was 2 grand more, had the XTR package, fancy rims, tunnel cover, bed liner, and the all whether matts. FOR CHEAPER than the basic one. Nonetheless, after roughly 18 dealerships, being shut down over and over because i presented such a challenge. I drove the truck to my girlfriend who was as excited as me, she drove it back and we shook Peters hand and said were done. This man did an unbelievable job with us, from start to finish. I have done 8 hours of negotiating at Hyundai and almost walked out for $1 b/w. And these guys went above and beyond for me and they have a customer for life. I could not be happier with my 2017 Ford F150!! Dave, and Peter! thank you guys so much!
