I was in your Fountain Tire store in Fort St John BC and I also file a complaint with the BBB about this store and this is what happened. I took my truck into this company to have balancing beads put into my tires on a 2014 Dodge Ram. When they had my truck in the shop they proceeded to work on the truck and then they told me that they had broken my tire pressure sensor and they needed to order another one. The dodge dealership in Fort St John told them it would be 2 weeks and then I proceeded to call a dealer in Edmonton AB and they had them in stock. The owner overheard my conversation and then only then proceeded to call other dealers in BC. He proceeded to apologize and the other sales guy stated that he was embarrassed but he was focused in on his personal phone like he was the entire time I was in the waiting area. Im sure he was on Facebook when he could have overlook the operation in the shop. Once the job was done I went out to my truck and found the door, steering wheel and dash had dirt on it from the tire guy that drove my truck out of the shop. I walk back in and the owner once again apologizing for the substandard service that was provided. Then went back out and wiped the truck down but I needed to do a proper job once I got home. The next day I noticed that I was missing a valve cap when I went to Kal Tire to get a re-torque. When Kal Tire rep went to take the centre cap off he noticed that only 1 of the 2 screws were holding the cap on on 2 of the centre caps because Fountain Tire the tighten the cap on so tight the broke the lip of the cap. So then I went back to Fountain to show them the damage. They order 2 new caps from USA (I had 2 shipped from Edmonton is 2 days) and then called me 2 days later to replace the broken tire pressure sensor. Then we got into a argument about which sensor was broken. Then he takes off 2 tires because he was trying to prove the truck and me wrong. I then asked him if they marked the tires before they took them off the first time and he said no. This is common practice with tires is to mark them so they go back in the same spot and this wasnt done. So now my tires are susceptible to irregular tire wear at my expense. When you put tires on trucks you want to keep the torque running the same direction throughout the life of the tire to obtain optimal milage. Seeing as the tires are subject to wear irregular and they have 15,000 km on them prorating the tires at this point for a new set would be acceptable for the complain to be resolved with BBB. I have giving the owner more than 3 weeks to respond but Im sure he wants me just to go away. I worked in tire shops for several years and I have moved on to a better way of life, so I understand clearly how I tire shop should be operated.

Great place to get your tires swapped over or purchase new. Staff at the counter are always good. A friend of mine and some front end work done on his truck and it didnt turn out so good for him later on down the road. They sure do know there tires but Im not so sure about wrenching.
