After researching many car makes/models, I decided to go with a Subaru. Went to Penticton Subaru to purchase a specific model and color. I was asked to leave a deposit so they knew Im serious about buying and they would order. I got a call back a week later and was told by the salesman that he was unable to find or order the specific car I was looking for. He pressured me to buy one that he already had on the lot. I made some phone calls to other dealers and found the exact car I was looking for and made a deal over the phone that was 20% cheaper than Penticton would do. I called Penticton to get my deposit back and they gave me the runaround saying they have a car on the lot and it was my choice not to buy it (even though it wasnt the color I was looking for). Eventually I did get the deposit back. Since then I have brought my Subaru I purchased from another dealer to Penticton Subaru to have it maintained as I live in Penticton. Every time I get my car back the oil reads 1/2 inch to 1 inch overfull, even though I specifically ask to check the level after the service. I ask to not overfill because these engines are prone to excessive oil consumption and overfilling could be a cause. They argue and explain "its just the way the engine is and will not hurt it" even though hundreds of cases on Subaru forums say different. Overall the dealership uses shady business practices by lying to get out of a service they dont want to perform. You cannot trust them and I recommend not going to them for sales or service.

What an experience! Drove my family 4 + hrs through an un-forecasted snow storm to get to Penticton Subaru. Initial greeting was warm and welcomed, but slowly went downhill from there. Sales guy was friendly but was by himself to deal with multiple clients at once on a Monday. We were ready to make a deal but hours later still no evaluation on our trade. We were then given the most horrendous trade in value "offer" ever. 60% less than what our vehicle is worth, wholesale ? What an insult!! "Weve phoned around... and thats the best we can do". No phoning around was done. You didnt want our trade, nor business, thus youre given a one star rating. Dont fall for the "phoning around" bs. Canadian Black Values dont lie. I shouldve done my research first on this place. Never doing business with Anthonys Subaru both in Kelowna, or Penticton ever again. No I wont phone Christina, ext 204. Thanks.

I bought my 2015 Forester XT in Langley, but I live 8 months of the year in Tulameen. This time when the car needed servicing I decided to try Penticton Subaru, it being over an hour closer drive. Dropped the car off for a Type A service and headed to Starbucks. 1 1/2 hours later I get the call its ready. The car was not washed, in fact there was grease on the door handle, and no sticker for KM reference. The excuse was they got too busy. She did say I could bring it back in 3 hours and they may be able to wash it, but really, this is a rural community! I live nearly 2 hours away. Next time Ill drive the extra hour and get it serviced in Langley.

Very rude sales staff, they dont call you back, and if you try to negotiate with them, they will just give you an attitude and reject your offer straight up, without leaving any room to negotiate, no thank you, ill take my business else where. If youre looking for a car dealer that will give you a fair offer without any bullshit, then i suggest you stay far away from this place.
