Our family has been hiking in Horth Hill for more than 20 years, in fact, it was during a hike there that we told my brother and his wife that we were pregnant with my oldest son! There is a great mix of trails, and most recently Ive taken up trail running and do my training there, mixing loops of lower and climbing trails. In the spring there are a few weeks of explosive wildflowers in some of the small meadows near the top - Camas Lillies and other island classics, and in mid-July look for an abundance of thimble berries in the parking lot, followed by Himalayan blackberries, and, near the edges of the parking lot, the local vine berries.

Excellent trail system. Hilly hike/walk. I Walk my dog there often. A lot of dogs will be off leash, Ive had no bad encounters. Ample parking. Cooler in summer with all of the trees. Beautiful view at the lookout of the east side of the peninsula and islands.
