The people at Vernon Hyundai bent over backwards to accommodate us in a very disheartening situation . My wife and I purchased our first Hyundai from Kelowna Hyundai (2012 Sonata 2.0T Limited) we took our car there for all the servicing and unfortunately the motor gave in at 27,740 kms. Our first call from the side of the highway was to "our dealership" to see if there was anything we could do to maybe restart the car. (There was no diagnostics done at this point). I was told by the service department at Kelowna Hyundai " the situation really sucks. Have it towed in and we will look at it next week." Vernon Hyundai is thankfully where BCAA would cover our tow too and they did everything they could to help. I called to say the car was being towed in to their location, and the first thing Shaun Powers (Parts Manger) asked is if we were safe, and off the highway. He then proceeded to see if we needed a car for a loaner, and asked if we needed a ride anywhere. I was truly satisfied with the way he treated us, and upon arrival to the Vernon dealership, he welcomed us and had made the arrangements to look at our car immediately. My wife and I had naturally lost faith in Hyundai, but the sales manager (Nathan Mackintosh) along with a member of his sales team (Jesse Savoie) told us that no matter the make or model, that these things happen. It is the service you get when these things do happen that should help make a decision as to what vehicle to buy again... We decided that the faith was lost in the car, however because of what the guys did at Vernon Hyundai, we traded our car for a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe XL and couldnt be happier with our decision. I will drive to Vernon, if it means getting the service and treatment we received and they believe that service doesnt end after the purchase of the vehicle is made. We bought a 2013 Hyundai Sante Fe last week and having had some recent experiences with some unsavory salesmen at other dealerships, it was very refreshing to meet and deal with Justin Coulter / our Sales Associate at Vernon Hyundai. He was very pleasant and very knowledgeable. He answered all our questions and wasnt pushy at all. We found a happy medium on the price to suit us both and that was that. Very easy to deal with....NEXT....on to Financial Services Manager / Josh Mooney who handled all the paperwork at record speed with great efficiency and also seemed like a very nice guy....NEXT....walked into the office next door where they had conveniently summoned an insurance agent from a nearby office to COME TO US / Melissa Skelton / from Johnston Meier Insurance who I just loved...very fun and personable who had brought us a selection of license plate numbers to chose from for our new vehicle....NEXT....quick run to the bank....NEXT....quick run back and a few signatures later....VOILA !!! We were NOW the proud owners. Anyway, SEAMLESS AND FASTEST DEAL EVER !!! No running back and forth and back and forth AND back and forth to the Manager every second and waiting and waiting...JUST VERY EFFICIENT. Most satisfactory car buying experience we personally have ever had and believe me weve had a few. When we left and got into the vehicle I wished I had asked someone to connect my iphone for me and just then Justin came out and asked us if we wanted him to do it for us. Well, he did it in the span of about a New York minute and we were off. AWESOME SERVICE !!! We would highly recommend this dealership to anyone for hassle-free shopping. I had a bad experience a with the Vernon Hyundai service department. It happened because I arrived one hour and fifteen minutes late for my service appointment. I knew I had missed the appointment time, but I thought I could at least go in and see what the options were. The man was unhappy that I had missed the appointment and proceeded to chastise me in front of everyone in the room. He said I can’t arrive late for an appointment and expect to receive service. I apologized for my mistake and was only trying to see what the next steps were. He said there was nothing they can do. I kindly asked if I could leave the vehicle with them and perhaps they could get time to do in the next day or two. His answer was “No. We are busy. That’s why we make appointments. We are trying to run a business here.” I would have walked out right then but unfortunately some of the work was Hyundai recalls on the vehicle. I ended up making an appointment for two weeks later. I made sure I arrived early for that one! It was my first time dealing with the Hyundai service department so I’m not sure if this fellow was just having a really bad day, or that’s how they always treat customers when something goes wrong. I certainly was calm and respectful back to this person regardless how he was towards me. As a side note I waited for a customer experience survey from Hyundai that I am accustomed to receiving from other dealerships. When it never came I contacted Hyundai and they responded that they don’t do customer experience surveys for service. That’s why I’m posting a review here instead.

I am so impressed with Vernon Hyundai - I cant say enough about Tanner Caouette, General Manager or Jesse Nicholson, Sales & Leasing. The entire Vernon Hyundai team was so personable and respectful to deal with. I was looking for that great used car that comes along every once in awhile and being that I live out of town I was reliant on Tanner to provide me with accurate and detailed information over the telephone and by way of email. Tanner was more than willing to work with me to find the price that worked for us both and Tanner and Jesse were both so cooperative and patient in answering my many phonecalls and questions. The car is fantastic and is everything promised! - Post-Sale we had a few details to be ironed out and I was really impressed that the dealership worked with me to reach an amicably fair agreement. I have dealt with high pressure and mis-leading car salesman and dealerships all my life - I had no idea there was such a thing as a great dealership. The environment at Vernon Hyundai is exciting, transparent and enthusiastic. I am so happy I had the opportunity to deal with Vernon Hyundai and I would definitely recommend this dealership for new or used autos to everyone! So refreshing ! - Heather G. Kamloops

What an absolutely abysmal car purchasing experience. First they didnt give me the monthly payment plan we agreed on, which I shouldve refused and walked out. But I was tired from the hours it took to get to that point and just wanted to be done with it, which is my own fault. Then this BRAND NEW CAR was overheating, and I had to take it in to get it fixed. Finally they didnt buy out my old car loan quickly enough, so I got charged for a car payment that I shouldnt have. I tried calling to get this looked into and I was told that the financial manager would call me back, I waited 5 hours and no one called me back so I called again and was again told that the financial manager would call me back, she never did. I had to call back the next day and all they told me was to wait until Friday to see if it was fixed. Its Friday today and it is still not fixed, I called them back again and they said to wait until Tuesday. This has been ridiculous and I will not return for future car purchases. 0 stars if it was possible.
