Horrible place wish I had known more about them before I went there. The owner is a huge jerk who has no will to help anyone, he is only there for the money and will do anything to scam you. His employees have no idea what they are doing. He makes it seem you are getting a great deal you go to hand back in the car and all of a sudden there is more fees involved sending your bill through the roof. The cars are older and in bad shape. If something is wrong with it they do not tell you, you figure it out on your own like I did. When I phoned to ask what the problem was they said they knew that piece was broken. The cars shake and have over 300k. You do not even know if you will make it to your destination. yet if something goes wrong with the car you are responsible for fixing it. the cars are old and have a lot of kms..that does not make it your fault for it breaking down yet you have to fix it. On the paper you get it says they will reimburse all fluids except gas you put into the car if you have a receipt..they do not do that either. I would highly recommend going to one of the larger companys, at the time the prices seemed higher through big companys but once this company is done scamming you it makes the big companys a lot cheaper. Do not deal here you will regret it.

Absolutely the worst place in town to rent a vehicle from. He will take a credit card or deposit and tell you one price and then when you return the car even after having it washed and fueled up you will get charged more then what you were told. He even charged me an extra full day rental for having the car back at 5:30 pm on a holiday while they were closed, when I rented it at 3:45 pm. less then 2 hours late after he said it didnt matter what time because they were closed anyway. Thats not to mention the extra $250 he tries to charge you for apparently smoking in his car, I dont even smoke in my own vehicle because I have kids. Charges agreed before rental when he handed me the keys $176... what he tried to charge me $553 when I got back, after arguing with him for 20 minutes, $303, still almost double what we agreed.

just rented another car from Affordable Auto in vernon and car was top notch The car came with winter tires. Im not sure what the last guy is talking about. However if you smoke and drink as I think this character did , I can see the owners issue. Ive rented quite a few cars with Affordable and have been treated with courtesy. The staff was forth coming with what was expected of me. The cars were clean and only 1 - 2 years old.

Needed to rent a car for a week for a young couple to drive from Vernon to Vancouver & back. The manager at Enterprise was less than helpful, she was rude and arrogant. I have rented all over North America from Enterprise, but thanks to this woman never again. Affordable went above & beyond for us. Great car in excellent condition with real winter tires!!! There charges were as quoted, no surprises!!! Thanks Affordable!!!!

When my friends and I were in a pinch, Affordable was the only place that offered a reasonable price. Moreover, we got a great car that drove really well. No unexpected or hidden charges, everything went super smoothly and Id definitely recommend this shop. Support local businesses!

The car was good but there was an excessive surprise charge of $20/day for insurance. This really raises the price of the car and the company does not live up to their name.
