I had asked them to install child safety tether so that I could put my childs car seat front facing. I asked them to put it in the middle if possible, however it was not so they put it on the drivers side. When they told me this, I asked them if it was possible to put it on the passengers side and was informed that it was very easy to just move the tether myself. When I did move the tether the bolt broke and so I took it to them I was informed that it would take hours to pull out the broken bolt and at $110/hr (plus tax). I had another mechanic eventually do the work and it took 45 mins. I was charged for the attempt that they technician made which took him .8 of an hr to realize he couldnt do it. As well as for a part that according to Toyota has a lifetime warranty, but according to the staff in Duncan, thats only valid if they install it. However I called another Toyota service center and was informed different. When I asked about the service tech who told me I could just move it myself I was informed he no longer worked there, big surprise! Obviously this Toyota center does not have the staff who know what they are doing. Also the lady in service (I wont name names but you know who she is) is perpetually miserable, you can tell she does not want to deal with anyone, she is sultry and should not be working in a customer facing position. The 2 times I was there dealing with my issue I saw at least 2 other customers that were unhappy with the service. I wanted to buy another Toyota but I will not because I just do not want to have to deal with the service staff at Duncan.

We just bought a 2016 Tacoma from JP Toyota today and it was the most pleasant vehicle buying experience we had ever experienced. In the week leading up to our visit I had inundated them and many other car dealerships with a plethora of emails regarding options, terms, rates, and payments. Their sales consultant Steve graciously answered every one of my emails and questions with no gripes or pressure to come into the dealership. When we finally did come in to the dealership Steve was unfortunately not available so we dealt with a young gentleman named Brandon. He was extremely friendly and professional as well as very knowledgeable about his product. There was zero pressure at any time and our best interests were always in the forefront. We got a fantastic deal without any haggling and even got some extras thrown in to boot. When we finally made a deal and went in to the "dreaded" business office we were written up by Kenny who clearly explained all of our options and listened to our concerns. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a vehicle as their customer service was top drawer.

I bought a Scion FRS from Metro Toyota in Duncan. I have purchased 2 other cars from them. Over the years their service in all areas, including Sales has continually improved. I made this purchase by phone and email without visiting the location as I was out of town for 3 months. The delivery date was accurate and Darren, in sales, was very helpful and efficient in walking me through the features of the new car. They honored all the conditions that were agreed to over the phone. The FRS is the most fun car i have ever owned and I have owned a Honda S20000 Porche 911, a BMW 550i, a SHO, and an IROCZ in the past. This one is a keeper. The extended warranty is also very good. 84 mths for about $1800 and if I do not use it I get about $1600 back. i.e. the cost of the warranty is $200 + interest on $1600 which at todays rates is l;ess than $300. Good deal!

I recently moved to the area from the Lower Mainland, and, have up to this point, been getting my Toyota Prius serviced @ Jim Pattison Toyota Surrey with no issues. After my initial service appointment @ Jim Pattison Toyota Duncan I noticed a ticking sound when I ran the fan in my vehicle. When I took it back to JP Toyota Duncan they removed the heater fan and found leaves in the cage. Never had this issue before, so maybe a little more attention to detail is required when servicing the vehicles, as they should have noticed the ticking sound when running the vehicle during or after the service. Other than that I was satisfied with the service and would like to give a commendation to Lin the service advisor at the front desk who was very friendly and helpful both times I came in.

booked an appointment for an oil change and took time off work. stood at the service desk for 10 min before I was spoken to even with employees walking past (i phoned the main number from my cell to get help) was told they just took two cars in and that my oil change would take a minimum of 2 hours. I said no thanks id rather go to Mr.Lube where it takes 5 min and was given a guilt trip for cancelling. (why make ab appointment if they cant honour it?) im on my 4th New truck from Toyota, love the product but hate the service ive recieved, expecially in the past few years since it was taken over by the Victoria people. Great service when purchasing and by the sales team, but after that......not so much.

We just purchased a truck from Metro Toyota Duncan and we had the pleasure to deal with Darren Polkinghorne. After many years of buying cars and trucks on Vancouver Island, I have to say that Darren has been number one on service, attention to detail and always making sure that I was taken care of before and after the truck was purchased. Knowledge about the truck and no pressure, was one of the main factors that made me decide to buy the truck there. Also, once I decided to buy it, he had the truck detailed, filled with gas and all paperwork including plates and insurance ready in under 2 hours! Unreal! Good job Darren and I will make sure to recommend you with my friends and family! Mark

Took my car in for an oil change. They told me my brakes were at 2%. Last oil change, (6months earlier) I was told by my regular dealership that I had 40% left. They also told me I needed a rad flush as my car was 6 years old and the service had not been done. Here again bullshit. The antifreeze in these vehicles is good for 160,000k or 10 years. My Alberni Toyota dealership told me brake pads are thin in these vehicles. They have a gauge that measures. If you know nothing about Toyota cars, you should not be servicing them. I will never take my car back there again. I dont like being lied to or taken advantage of. Jim Pattison Toyota in Duncan thieves from unsuspecting folks.

I recently bought a new truck from Jim Pattison Duncan Toyota. I went to a few other dealerships prior to this and felt the sales staff were trying to push deals I had no interest in (e.g.: leasing rather than buying, different models, etc.). I stopped by Duncan Toyota to see what they had in stock. Brandon Robinson was the sales representative that I dealt with. When I told him what I was looking for he was very straight forward and honest with laying out the different options and working with me to come to price that was fair for both of us. Brandon made the process of buying a new vehicle much less pressured and I recommend him if youre shopping for a new Toyota.
