Two years with dealing with Glen Oak Ford, Victoria and total frustration and lack of trust. As a previous writer mentioned about Suburban (same owner) they felt like a number this is so true. Island Ford made me feel like a customer and they thanked me for coming and doing business with them. I purchased Fords Maintenance Plan therefore had to have service done at a Ford Dealer. I did a dealer search and Island Ford stood out amongst the dealers within a reasonable drive from Victoria. Spoke with Chad, Service Manager, and followed up with emails. He ensured what I needed / requested was ordered and in stock before my appointment. Easy drive to/from Duncan and the quality of service and exemplary customer service was well worth the drive. While in their waiting room it was impossible not to overhear other customers either dropping off or picking up their vehicle. Each was treated with the same warm, friendly and caring customer service. Will I go to Victoria again! NEVER; I would HIGHLY recommend any Ford / vehicle owner to make the drive to Island Ford, great coffee as well. This was my first visit and I rarely give an excellent rating however there was nothing I could knock them on, Chad and staff deserve the 5*s across the board.

My truck had spongy breaks since one of the rear cylinders had failed a few months back. I had done the rear breaks myself, including both cylinders, but since the system had been drained of fluid it needed to be power bled to remove all the air pockets. I couldnt do this myself so brought it to Island Ford. I explained the problem, and said I suspected they only needed to be bled. It took them 3 hours, and cost me $350... for a bleed job. Rather than just bleed the breaks and maybe test the cylinder and be done in an hour, they decided to dismantle and inspect the rear drums so that they could tell me there was rust... a 14 year old truck has rust, real revelation. Whats more, they didnt even bleed them right. I know this because my front left bleeder nut was rounded off and seized when I brought the truck to them. I checked it after they "thoroughly bled the system" to find the nut still there and still seized... so they charged me $350 to 3/4 bleed the system. Pros: Quick Lane service is very convenient, staff is friendly Cons: Everything I just mentioned Island Ford, I am very unsatisfied

(Formerly Ken Evans Ford) 2013 Escape. The reception each time we come in for service are always nice so i gave them 5 stars. HOWEVER, the SERVICE is 0 star! what a disappointment!:-((( from 2013 till the end of the 3 year warranty we always have to go back each time because things are not done right! When we dropped it off for the first service check they were so careless and left a BIG DEEP scratch on a black vehicle! seriously?!? I was dumbfounded but then again because its convenient and the warranty, we have no choice but keep having it serviced in the same dealership location and again and again its either parts are not properly installed back together and making some noise or just crappy service! you can see it once you open and inspect the hood! I can only imagine the parts that are not visible and cant get to it, you will rely on how the vehicle runs and the sound it makes... They say always go to the dealer you will pay a little more but the service is great! Yeah right! NEVER AGAIN! This is just like having expertise in electrical service but doing mechanical work.

Chris Tarala sold me a new 2014 Ford Escape the other week. He was both professional and approachable, and helped me to find exactly the car I wanted at a price I could afford. Chris was helpful, knowledgeable, and personable. I truly appreciated his overall assistance. As a woman, in the past, other dealers (never at Ford!) have lied to me, patronised me, and spoken to my husband in response to questions I was asking. It was a great experience to work with Chris, who took me seriously and made buying my new car a most pleasant experience. I will be back in the future should I decide to buy another car. As an addendum, Edie Lange, who helped me the last time I was buying a car from you, was again my finance person, and like Chris, she made the whole experience a very positive. I appreciated her empathy and her friendliness. It made the increase in my monthly payment much less painful!

Over the past 15 years we have delt with many dealerships on Vancouver Island from Nanaimo to Victoria. We have had both good and very very bad experiences. With that said Island Ford Duncan hands down gave us the best experience we have had to date when purchasing a vehicle. All employees were kind and curtious to us. We had the pleasure of dealing with Ivan Phan. A very kind, personable and knowledgeable salesman. He truly went above and beyond for us. If there was something Ivan didnt know, he was always quick to find us the answer. I highly recommend Ivan Phan at Island Ford Duncan when looking for a new vehicle. Thanks again Ivan for making our transition from a sporty car to a mini van pleasurable! You really made us feel like family. Cheers.

5 stars for Ivan Phan as our sales guy. Ivan was fantastic and got the sale done. He is personable and honest. If I have any issues he gets er done. He will make anything happen that you need done. 2.5/3 stars for rest of the team. Not impressed with taking my 2011 Toyota Yaris in for first service and leaving with a $1364.00 quote bill for repairs. Only put 9000 km on it, $500 tires and rear and front brakes had to be done ford covered rear brakes after weeks of complaining and thanks to Ivans help but I still had to cover the front brakes and new tires. Im not the first person it happened to. Bottom line, it should not have happened!!!! Still good cars and Im not unhappy with my purchase just with how ford dealt with it.

Not only did this dealership offer to pay our Ferry ride to and from the island if we purchased the vehicle that we had our eye on but they offered to pay just to come look at the vehicle! Chris had the vehicle detailed and ready for presentation and with the oil change and check over completed for when we arrived. Not only was the vehicle spotless but so was the engine. We took her out for a test drive and the choice was made. We were trading in our 2003 Expedition for a newer 2007. Chris made the transition very smooth and comfortable and made the numbers work for us. (and them of course) The deal was done. Thank you and appreciation goes out to all at Island Ford. We will be back again!

Ive been having difficulty with dealerships and buying vehicles over the past couple years always having to deal with pushy sales representatives and over priced lemons. Then I ran into Ivan Phan. He and the staff at Island Ford were able to get me out of my overpriced vehicle that was of little use to me and into a new F150 with little change in my monthly payments. On top of all this, Ivan himself has gone beyond the point of "going above and beyond" in making the transition seamless by helping me on a personal level. If you are in need of a vehicle I would strongly suggest talking to Ivan because he will do whatever he can to help you.
