I really tried to do my proper diligence when I purchased my truck from Cowichan Valley Autos. They were friendly as ever and accommodated our request to have the vehicle inspected by the local dodge dealership. The results were good. One light burned out and leak in the transmission fluid. I told Cowichan Valley Autos that I wanted those items fixed first and they agreed to do it. Upon completion of the repairs I purchased the vehicle. When I got it home I noticed it was leaking transmission fluid on my driveway. I did some investigation and discovered that the leak was coming from the transmission cooler itself and sent pictures to Cowichan Valley Autos as proof the repair was not done (they had mis-diagnosed the source of the leak). Their response was that they had already put alot of money into the truck and would not be spending any more. This was in essence saying the deal is done, your on your own. All that trust that was built during the purchase was suddenly shattered. This was a $250 repair that I was able to do myself in a few hours. Was burning my trust really worth that $250 Cowichan Valley Autos? I have since discovered that the truck had a wiring harness issue that was shorting the ECM - eventually cooking it, and taking an injector with it. After just 2 years I have already paid more than half the value of the truck in repairs to get this fixed. Did Cowichan Valley Autos know about this issue before they sold it? I cant prove that they did, but I suspect they knew it had a mysterious intermittent issue that they could not diagnose. Never again Cowichan Valley Autos. When you dont stand by your word just to save a buck, the word will get out. I cant tell anyone in good conscience to trust you. In fact, I would advise them to absolutely not trust you and to spend some serious dollars to do a deep diagnosis via a third party before ever considering one of your vehicles.

Awesome service, great prices and friendly staff, that gave you your space. I had a few problems with my car after I bought it which I wasnt to happy about after spending a fair price on it, however they offered to fix it for me. I didnt take the offer because they use a service that isnt great on "special cars" ( a bit more complex eg turbos) when I suggested using a different service they wouldnt. But when I said that I had to fix blah blah blah on my car already they were like "send us the bills!!" I was very frustrated about this because its literally the same thing... I understand using your own service is free but these are problems that occurred since I drove off the lot.... Here Iam fixing/trying to find out problems from day one . Ive called many of times and trying not to be a bother anymore or I just get frustrated...

Like the previous reviews the prices are a little more if you have time to shop around. Unfortunately, I did not. I bought a lemon. A 2008 Nissan Titan which was flogged at an auction in Alberta. The sales person really did not know much about the truck. Shortly after I brought it home I noticed several cosmetic things that were masked and shabbily repaired. The door handle for one ( it actually fell off). We did not drive the truck very often as it is not our primary vehicle however we noticed some intermittent starting issues that had to do with the computer- a failed system that was hard to pin and went on for months...probably why the truck went to auction in the first place. I called the dealer but they had no interest in what I had to say about this- not even a sorry ...

Home of the Good Guys alright.. Good at taking your money... these guys charge WAAAY over what they should. I was in there 2 years ago and it was crazy then I thought ok Ill check it out again no change shop around people I did they have nice cars but so do other dealers for thousands LESS.... I looked at a 12 yr old BMW they had and bought it for $5k less elsewhere ... WATCH OUT I had to say something !!

I looked at these people ... although the cars appear to be in great shape their prices are off the chart.. Not just the car I looked at everything is out to lunch.... I bought my Honda for $3k less from another smaller dealer with a 2 year warranty..good thing I shopped around.. Not bashing them but do your homework people

Went to see about a test drive on a car, I think the salesmans name was Jeff,acted like i was annoyance. When I told him I was interested in the Chevy Volt, he gave me a card and that was it. Drove there , cost of time and gas to get blown off. I am buying, just never there.
