Having some knee problems, I was having to give up my manual Mazda Miata for an automatic transmission car. I wasnt sure which brand of convertible I wanted to purchase and I had already visited other dealerships to see what was out there. I visited Harris Parksville Oceanside and met Salesman Ryan Swailes who was very pleasant, knowledgeable, as well as instrumental in helping me determine which type of car I really wanted. I was extremely impressed with Ryan taking the time to ask me thorough and thoughtful questions which certainly helped me focus, and make the right decision as to the make of car I truly desired. After reflection of Ryans questions, I knew I wanted another Miata however it had to be an automatic transmission. At the time, no Miatas were on his lot for me to look at. However, Ryan had kept me in mind, and I promptly received a call from Ryan a couple of days later letting me know one was available. And so after an examination of the car and taking it on a long test drive, we began negotiations. I am pleased to say that I received a generous trade-in allowance for my older Miata. I would also like to point out that Ryan worked very hard during our negotiations and that he, his Manager Steve Peters, and myself arrived at a satisfactory agreement with which I am very pleased. I am now the happy owner of once again, a Mazda Miata. Because of this great experience with Ryan Swailes and his Manager Steve Peters, plus the Service staff at Harris Parksville, I also look forward to having my Miata serviced at this dealership.

Mike Chislett - In February 2012, my girlfriend and I went looking for her dream car: a red mustang convertible. After looking at a few lots (at night to avoid the pushy salespeople), we thought wed go local, and see whats available. We told our sales pro, Mike that we were just out for fun, to see what was out there. Mike showed us a stunning 2008 red mustangGT convertible. We cant say enough about Mike Chislett. He was a pleasure to talk to, not just about the car at hand, but just in general. He took all the intensity about buying a car away, and talked to us like human beings, not schmucks. He took us on a tour of the dealership, introduced us to the service shop, and I felt comfortable knowing our car would be taken care of by true professionals. Mike, thank you so much for making what is usually a stressful venture, fun and relaxing! Youre professionalism and amiability are admirable. As first-time car buyers, we didnt know what to expect, but Mike, you made it easy! If this doesnt answer all the whys about our rating, the paperwork was a pain, but that was all on our end, not the dealerships. Our car, by the way, is perfect for us! It is with no hesitation we recommend Mike Chislett to anyone looking for a new or used car or truck. Just had to drop a BIG thank you to staff there for the really great service,I have moved to coombs from vic this year and as i do own GM bought from another Gm dealer in victoria i feel like i bought it from this dealership in Parksville as the service was over the top treated me as i was a long time cust from there but it was first time i walked in the door /oil/ tire rotation and a detail as it needed some tlc I was greeted by a friendly and energetic service person rich stewert who really made my day with his up beat attiude.My wife returned to pick up the truck when she called me from there parking lot to tell me she felt as she was in the wrong truck it was clean as new ,I must say detail i got was great the inside was like new all stains that were left from last time it was cleaned from victoria were gone the paint was great and the larg scuff on bumper that i was told from a colision center would need to be painted was gone under the hood looked better then new I thank you

Love the Service staff here! Paula, Richard and Gerald have been phenomenal. I had been taking my vehicle here for years after I experienced poor service at another dealership. I recently took my vehicle for servicing elsewhere just out of convenience in the past year. What a bad idea. I got quoted for brake work and a leak in the intake manifold gasket. Since I got the gasket work done at Harris Oceanside a year previously I asked Paula and her team to see if there was still warranty left. There wasnt. It had expired a month previously. But they quoted me a reasonable price (nothing for parts and a deal on labour). They also said my brakes were still fine. The brakes would have cost me over $400 at the other place! This has taught me not to take my car anywhere else. Thanks for the honesty and integrity and incredible customer service!

If i could, i would be giving them -5 stars. Dealt with someone about a year and a bit ago and was promised all sorts of things like it would build my credit and such and i could trade it in in a year... Called a year later and got passed around for about 2 weeks. Then i called the manager and he told me he would get someone to call us. Here it is 3 months later we receive some mail saying we can trade it in so i bring my uncle with me and they tell me they cant blah blah blah then started talking down to me because i have stuff in collections. Sold us a bunk car amd false hope, only reason we agreed was the credit building and trade in after a year. Good job guys you ripped off a low income family.

I recently purchased a Chevrolet Malibu 2006 SS at Harris Oceanside through Mike Chislett. I found Mike to be extremely helpful and professional. He even went so far as to drive the car to my place to let me test drive it and then picked me up when I decided to buy it. Being that I am from the US, I was uneasy going through the buying process in another country. Mike, Cheryl, Richard and the rest of the team made it so that everything was set up for me when I was ready to purchase. Overall, the experience was smooth. The car runs great and I left the dealership feeling like I had dealt with professional and personable human beings. Thank you so much Mike and the team!

The team at Harris Oceanside Chevrolet Buick GMC went above and beyond to help me buy my car. Banks and car dealers make me nervous as I am a single mother. This was not an issue at Harris Oceanside. Bill Ferguson is a stand up guy, there was no pressure talking to him. I was able to tell Bill what I wanted and the budget I had to get it. Bill listened and told me straight about the choices I had. Bill was like having a Dad with me to get my car. He is honest, friendly and fair. I was treated with respect and care by the whole team. I am very happy with my new car. I would highly recommend this amazing team to anyone looking for a new car.
