I set up an appointment to do a drain and fill on my transmission. I was called back soon after, and the receptionist informed me that they couldnt use the transmission fluid I had bought for the job - they needed to use their own fluid. This is probably for liability purposes - though frustrating, I could have simply returned the Toyota Type IV I purchased from Toyota (interchangeable with Mobil 3309, to my knowledge). I said "But I already bought the fluid" And she apologized again. I said "Ok. What type of fluid do you use?", as if they had to use Mobil 3309, it would be at an inflated price vs Toyota Type IV - with an answer to this question, I could have then made a decision on if to say "ok, great, lets do it", or "ok, thanks, Ill try someone else." Instead of customary politeness however, the phone was handed off to the owner of the shop, he simply stated "We are not interested in servicing your Volvo." And hung up the phone. C&S Transmission is also one of the closest repair shops accepted by my warranty, so further business would have likely to have occurred had this conversation gone another way. Maybe youre having a bad day, but youre not taking it out on me - I was happy you explained how my warranty works, and thats why I called you for this service. Cool if you didnt want to do it, but less cool that you chose to be a jerk about it.

Excellent work and outstanding customer service. I found out about C&S from the Service Advisor at the dealership. Scotty negotiated an even lower price for the used transmission, than the one that was initially quoted, as it would have been much more expensive, time consuming, and difficult to locate new parts to repair my manual transmission. Thank you! I would highly recommend the company.

Rebuilt my transmission around 150,000 km on a Dodge 3500. Just turning 600,000 hard towing km at max load up and down the Coquihalla hwy -- and their work is holding strong. Had a number of leak sources and they are fixing those now plus a new driveshaft. THANKS for good honest work and Scottys excellent drivetrain knowledge.

Great service. They really knew their stuff- we had a limited budget and they kept the costs down with good used parts and a great shop rate. You know you get good service as the guys who own the place do the work. Straight shooters.
