Not just a car When we walked into this dealership we had no expectations at all. I have had serious medical issues and five surgeries in the last six years one of which was brain surgery to remove a tumor. My final surgery was in September 2013 and since then Ive been trying to get back on my feet which has included getting back my credit. My oldest daughter is now the only driver in the family and is taking my elderly mother and myself to all of our medical appointments lots of which have been at Vancouver General. When my daughters car broke down two weeks ago my heart sank cause I knew our options were slim to none. As her mother I was so worried as she gets off work late at night and has to drive a fair distance home. She has to travel along Fraser Highway and parts of the highway are very dark and isolated. We also all know that we cant rely on cell phones. Now that I have given the explanation as to why this isnt just a car for us I will get straight to the review. My daughter went the first day and did all the test driving and got all the details and what not. She couldnt get what she needed to get on her own so called me and said they needed my information. The next day the dealership sent someone to pick us up and bring us there. When I got there we were greeted by Johnty. I found Johnty to be very friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about the cars. We got down to business and at one point I got very disappointed that I wasnt going to be able to do this for my daughter. Johnty was on it and reassured us not to give up yet, At that point Johnty went to the appropriate people to see what we could do and my god it got done and we had ourselves a brand new 2014 Volkswagen Jetta. The staff was so friendly, they held the doors open for each customer walking in there and had a smile on their faces and acknowledged each customer that came into the dealership while we were there. They bought us lunch while we were waiting and were always asking if we needed anything else. The warranties and extended warranties were explained to us thoroughly as well as the financing. Johnty had all the statistics on the vehicle such as crash test rating etc.etc. We never felt like we didnt matter and thats huge. Im one very happy momma. This experience for me has been PRICELESS.Thank you Maple Ridge Volkswagen and all of your fantastic staff.

3 months ago I recieved a call from an amazing gentleman Lorentz who throughly explained the TDI emmision to me for my Jetta. It was amazing how much time he was willing to take out of his day to give me an excellent customer service experience by answering all my questions and concerns, same day we also met Rob, his manager, who was very humble and understood returning the TDI had a huge emotional effect. In return for our TDI we then started to look around for another vehicle and since we are a family of 5 we decided we should upgrade to a 7 seater. We then decided from there after researching all the popular SUVs in the market that we will be buying the VW ATLAS. It was 2 and a half months ago that we had pre-ordered the Atlas and we were told estimated arrival date will be end of August/beginning of September. In between all this time Rob and Lorentz had always kept me updated on status changes on the ATLAS at all times. Aug 18 2017- the day had arrived to give our TDI Jetta back, 1 day before I was told by Rob that the ETA on the ATLAS is max 1 week. We drove into the Maple Ridge VW dealership where my husband and I were in SHOCK to see our new 2018 VW ATLAS parked, all decd out with a ribbon. I say this was one of the best days and surprise of my life. Maple Ridge VW has not only made the returning experience of the TDI great but had also made the buying experience of our new ATLAS excellent by delivering above and beyond customer service with thier professional yet friendly nature and by treating us not like customers but instead like thier own family. I will continue to be a loyal Maple Ridge VW customer and will continue to recommend all friends and family (despite the toll bridge I have to cross)!!!! Thank you for everything ROB and Lorentz!

Worst dealership to deal with, they phoned me asking if I had my 2012 GTI I purchased from them couple years earlier, they wanted it back. I told them I would be interested in trading if they could get me into something cheaper, they did no such thing, I ended up leaving the dealership in a used Chevrolet Sonic owing more money on it then I did when I had the GTI. These guys are extremely pushy and have no interests in your needs or budget, they constantly ask to check your credit as if a deal is already finalized before sitting down to negotiate anything, they didnt negotiate my trade in value, and when I complained they pulled out paper work on the deal which I had never seen before making accusations that I agreed to everything which I didnt, stay away from this dealership. If you dont know what your doing these guys will take advantage of it and the situation, I spoke to the general manager about my complaint, he did nothing but argue with me and referred people trying to get your money in Mexico as an analogy in reference to them pushing to check my credit. To top everything off the GTI had minor front end damage needing repair, they claimed the car was already sold as is to another customer and they were picking the GTI up the same night, which is completely illegal, selling a damaged car. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, I have felt upset, pressured, and taken advantage of, nothing positive here, if I could give 0 out of 5 stars I would, very unprofessional experience.

my wife and i just bought a 2013 jetta gli. with dealing with other dealerships before i went in there already thinking i was going to get screwed. we were greeted by the staff at the door with a smile. i thought oh here we go i felt like i was walking into the brick furniture store and the voulchers were out looking for a meal. every time i go there they follow you around like a piece of meat but no not here they just said hi how are you doing today and said if i needed anything they would be over there and they walked away and let us look. our sales rep was johnty he was new but did his best to make us feel welcome and walked us through the lot and showed us a bunch of cars very nice guy. after about 1/2 hr of looking johnty said he would be right back when he came back he brought with him one of the managers at this i thought this guy is going to try to sweet talk us but no he was one of the best managers i have ever dealt with in buying a car. chris the manager was very nice kind and was not at any point trying to force us to buy a car he gave us a lot of time to think and make our decision. this group of people from the receptionist to the sales staff to the managers and even the financing guy was just awesome would recommend this dealership to everyone buying a volkswagen.10 stars from my family for maple ridge volkswagen. thanks again chris and the staff. and a special thanks to will for walking me through the car and hooking up my phone and showing me all my new gadets to play with awesome job
