Very good experience at this Kal Tire after a poor experience at a different location. Booked an appointment in early March 2017 for new all-seasons which I had to reschedule as it was snowing that morning. Their response was "No problem" and I booked two weeks later - no CC# required to hold the tires they had brought in for me. Went in this morning and was quickly greeted by staff. They were efficient and the work started on time. Honoured the price match even though we were a few days past the 30-day period. No questions asked. They checked my alignment for free and let me know that one of my rear toe specs was on the very edge of spec (Matt came out with a clipboard and spec sheet - A+ in my books). Didnt feel pressured at all but I did decline adjustment as I have a free alignment coming up with my Mazda dealer. I also noted before coming in that my timing was lucky and Pirelli had just released a mail-in rebate on the tires I was purchasing. I didnt mention it when I went in (as it is done through Pirelli, not Kal Tire) and was impressed when Matt let me know about it on the way out. They threw in a bright orange Kal Tire baggie for my wheel lock key. OEM Keys are expensive to replace and easy to lose - so I appreciate the gesture. Checked the wheel nut torque and tire pressures when I got home and found them bang on - allowing for slight discrepancy between different torque wrenches and air pressure gauges. The nuts will also need retorquing in around 50 km, but thats standard procedure and Kal Tire does it for free if you dont want to or cant do it yourself. The attention to detail and level of customer service at this location (and Matt in particular) is excellent. A few family members are currently looking for tires - and this location will be my recommendation.

They were an exceptional staff! I discovered a nail in my tire today and popped in to the Langley bypass location to see if they could fit me in. I spoke with Matt and he said he could fit me in. He cautioned that it could be a couple of hours. I said that would be great and then asked how much and he said that they would take care of it n/c! Already impressed with the customer service, I set out to find something to do for two hours. I didnt get far because within the hour they called to say my car was done:-)! Thank you Matt and the two other customer service representatives that I spoke with. You made my day! I will definitely be coming back and would recommend to friends and family. Thank-you:-)!!! June 30th - Update on further dealings with Kal Tire:-) I just found , yet again another nail in a different tire and went to Kal tire to see if they could fix it. Once again, they were friendly, courteous and accommodating. Due to the wear and almost non-existent tread I was advised that they couldnt fix it and that the tires would need to be replaced (I knew they needed to be replaced, but was hoping the expense could wait for a bit longer). I spoke with Matt who not only offered me a discount on a set of tires but also saw to it that I got a ride home (while car was being fixed), then also got a ride back to pick up my car later that day! I so appreciated how Matt and the Assistant manager, Brian, went above and beyond to look after everything in a fast and caring way. Thank you, for being such an excellent example of how a great business should be run. I would not hesitate to recommend this location:-)!

I had a pre-purchase inspection done at this Kal-Tire on a Mazda 3 I was interested in buying. Gus, the mechanic who inspected the vehicle, was extremely knowledgeable. After taking it for a test drive and thoroughly inspecting the vehicle, Gus took the time to show me in person what repairs needed doing while the vehicle was on a lift. Gus was friendly throughout, and answered all of my questions and even went 10 minutes past closing time. At the end of the day the information Gus provided allowed me to negotiate a fair price for the vehicle and I ended up purchasing it. The friendliness and professionalism displayed by Gus was nothing short of exemplary. I had also asked for a quote on a few of the more important repairs and was told that they would give it to me first thing the next day. Sure enough, first thing in the morning I received a phone call with the quote. It is these kind of business practices that will garner Kal-Tire repeat business from me in the future. Overall I was very impressed with the service at this location, and highly recommend this location to anyone looking for professional advice regarding their vehicle.

Tough to Trust; wont be back. Its too bad, really, because theyve always been my go to, and previously had provided great service (for VERY similar issues) over the years. Stopped in to get a puncture fixed. They were quick to determine it was unrepairbale that that no one else would be able to repair it. The only solution was to replace an entire tire (for a small nail, in the tread, albeit somewhat to the side, but not at, on or over the shoulder) at over $300. Drove 4 minutes west to a competitor with a water feature for a name, and was out with a fully repaired tire in less than 40 minutes, with a bill under $40. When I asked them why Kal wouldnt fix it, I was given 2 reasons. 1. Kal hadnt taken the tire off before determining it impossible. 2. They make more money selling me a new tire. When its time to buy winters for my vehicle in a couple months, I wont be showing up at Kal. - If a Kal rep actually reads this, remember that the younger generation shops with their wallets - not with brand loyalty. You could offer me 50% off the next set of tires, and I still wont be back.

Not sure who I spoke to on the phone, but he said it was illegal to run studs in the Lower Mainland...not sure which law there reading but I cant find that information anywhere... Of the MVA (3) Subsection (1) (b) does not prohibit the use, at any time between October 1 in one year and April 30 in the next year, of studs that do not protrude more than 3.5 mm from the tread or traction surface of a tire, if (a) there are not more than a total of 130 studs in the tire if it is a tire for a motor vehicle having a gross vehicle weight of not more than 4 600 kg, or 175 studs in the tire if it is a tire for a motor vehicle having a greater gross vehicle weight, and (b) no studs are used in a tire on the front wheel of a motor vehicle unless each rear wheel has at least one studded tire, but this paragraph does not apply to a truck with a licensed gross vehicle weight of 9 100 kg or more and which is equipped with a device to allow the installation of a snowplough.

My first review was 5 stars this one is a single. Took one of our trucks in for service as usual and I didnt check the invoice till I got home. The price was cheaper than usual and I assumed they gave me a discount. When I looked over the invoice I realized they had used the wrong oil (voiding our warranty)I went back and spoke with them right away and they argued about it before realizing their mistake. Now instead of fixing it right away they asked that I come back the following week (it was 30 minutes to closing time). Waste of a third trip back. Second problem was selling us on their fleet program promising the world including free rotations when we switched all of our trucks over to their Nokian brand tires. When we went for our rotations we were told it was an $80 charge, sorry that was the end for us.
