Four years ago I rented a car at the Budget Kelowna Airport location. I booked it online and made them aware that I am not getting a CDW, cause my credit card covers it. They gave me a car that had numerous scratches on the rear plastic bumper, and a damage report where all of them were documented. Representatives did not bother doing an inspection with me, I did it myself. I spent a day in Okanagan Valley, returned the car to the same location in the evening, signed all the papers and flew back to Calgary. By the way, none of the representatives offered to do an inspection when I was dropping off the car. The next day I got a call from them and was told that I am responsible for all the damages and have to pay $1,500 to get the scratches on the bumper fixed. I refused to do that. First of all, I did not do that. Secondly, it would cost a few hundred bucks to get the whole piece replaced. Lastly, I had a proof - the damage report, but later I found out that I gave my copy to one of the Budget employees and she never returned it to me. It turned out that I could not protect myself, I did not have photographs of the car made at the time I was picking it up, I did not have the damage report anymore. They were calling me frequently and threatened to submit my case to the collection agency. I was treated so badly that I even got to the ER in Calgary with chest pain. My credit card provider did not seem to be concerned, though, so, eventually, they paid the bill. Some car rental companies have a separate business inside their business and make money of damages. Please, avoid that location and never ever rent a car from them if you do not want to be a victim of scam.

Worst experience ever by rude idiots and b*tches that work there. They Cancelled my car rental I had booked online ahead of time through Expedia because I did not have a secondary phone number to give them while Im traveling?!? So everywhere else was booked up, no buses or shuttles available so I had to pay for cab to Vernon which cost 100. one way. I called expedia and at least they gave me a credit for my cab fare. They also said they had a lot of complaints about this location and someone was going to get fired. I hope someone did because It sure messed up my whole trip having not having a car rental. Rude and incompetent whiny b*tches that work there. When people get off a flight and have a reserved rental thats what they expect and have rights to.

The Kelowna B.C. airport location was really bad. Gave me a ``crossover`` mini SUV even though I reserved a "full size car" They then tried to convince me that it was a full sized luxury car! The Chevrolet Orlando I did get was so unbelievably uncomfortable to sit in that I only drove it for two days and ended up taking a taxi after. Back pain from the terrible seating was like torture. The Orlando was damaged all the way around, smelled like wet dog, and even had a cracked windshield! The counter staff were unresponsive to my questions(did not care). I will NEVER rent from them again, EVER! Same price as Enterprise and I have never had a bad experience with Enterprise. Dont even know why I tried Budget. Big mistake! Avoid, Avoid, Avoid!

Rent elsewhere. They dont listen to you and give you any car and send you off. They ask that you bring the vehicle back before said time and you do, but then they deny thats what they said(same guy) and bill you an extra day. I had requested a car as they said all they have is vans (reserved a car) and I actually waited 20 minutes for them to prep one and I was given a van after all. Like others in this review said, they just tell you this is what you reserved and dont listen or accommodate whatsoever. Very bad experience.

Tried to rent a car on Christmas and got nothing but sass from the clerk. My boyfriend lost his credit card the day before and we werent allowed to rent the available cars because I am 24. He wasnt accommodating and didnt try to help us figure out a rental because he "simply had no options for us." I ended up having to reserve a car at their other location down HWY 97. Thankfully the person there was helpful and even waived the under 24 fee since one of our drivers was 25.

All I can say is do not leave anything of value or attachment in the car, as youve got no chance of getting it back and are basically given the brush off. They took a considerable amount of time to get back to me regarding an item that Id left in the rental car, despite calling as soon as they opened and then told me a blatant lie. There was no way that the item I was hoping to get back had just mysteriously disappeared without someone physically taking it from the car.
