Do NOT buy a car from here!!! Too much hassle and once you have purchased they dont care. Two weeks after purchasing our vehicle, our caliper broke, we had purchased insurance luckily so we rang to inform them of the problem to be told "oh youre the ones who owe us $500". When we purchased we paid in cash, which was recounted three times in front of us. They told us to bring the car in, so we did. Then a heated discussion was had blaming us for them being $500 short, which we definitely didnt do. We informed them we paid in full, regardless the car didn’t even fully lock! The trunk does not lock properly and they hadn’t told us that so we can’t even secure our vehicle properly. They promised to fix this- to order a new part- which they still haven’t. Anyway we were meant to go on a road trip with visiting family and instead had to fork out money to hire a car, while it was being repaired as they couldnt get our wheel off due to a lock nut. They searched our car for the tool needed, and said that the wheel lock nut was missing (to get off the tire). They said it was in the glove box. We hadnt been into the glovebox-we had barely had the car 2 weeks. BTW they would have needed it for the car inspection as they replaced rotors and brake pads before selling. As we were meant to leave that night they just cut off the bolt locked on the wheel. It took them two days to fix. When we picked up the car the owner apologised for accusing us of shorting him money. We accepted and felt slightly better about this as they then promised to fix our trunk lock once they had the part, and to look for the wheel lock nut. Absolutely NO FOLLOW UP. A month or so later we had not heard anything from them and it was time to change from winters to summers. We went to see if they had located our missing wheel lock- they hadn’t and blamed us for losing it or said it flew out from the glovebox out the window----right ok??? They didn’t offer to cut off our wheel bolts/nuts and we were left to go directly to VW to get this done $45 later for a 5 minute job. Not only is this terrible service but we would have been stranded if we had ever gotten a flat tire. These guys simply don’t care and don’t take any responsibility for their actions. Considering they’re mechanics you would think they could help you quickly and efficiently but they only fixed our caliper as they have a deal with lubrico insurance and didn’t want to look bad. Not trustworthy at all.

So Great-Full to have the pleasure of doing business with Chris & Gary! Not only had they already put the Winter set of tires on my new car when I arrived, but they also delivered the car to the pre-purchase inspection for me as I had to travel from out of town to pick up the car. There was only one issue found in the inspection and by the time I arrived, they had already taken care of it! Two honest humans who embellish their services with that extra care and attention to detail! In my experience, I highly recommend Country Auto Sales!
