When, at a different shop (Kal Tire) I had an oil change on my rusty old Ford Taurus, they told me I needed about $1250.00 in repairs to replace my brakes (which seemed to work fine): they wanted to replace my drums, shoes, lines, and master cylinder, which they claimed had a leak. I first went to Alfred of Vancouver West Motors, who has an impeccable reputation, but who specializes in non-domestic cars. He found no evidence of a leaky master cylinder, and couldnt get the drums open without drastic measures (heating), so referred me to his old friend Scott at this OK Tire in Surrey, noting that Scott has lots of experience with Fords. Scott found that I did need new drums & shoes ($500) but no master cylinder leak (which anyway would have been only an additional $350, thus making for a cheaper quote). Scott was fast, friendly, polite, and cautious in what he said. He seemed honest, and everything he said lined up with what I had learned from Alfred. Id left my car with him over the weekend (in August), so he even pulled the car in to the shop to cool it off before I picked it up. Nobody likes to pay hundreds of dollars for unexpected repairs, but compared with what would have happened if I stuck with Kal Tire, Scott saved me a lot of money.

Brought my SUV in for a 55 point inspection after coming back from a long trip (like to see how everything is doing). They told me my fan belt was cracking, my tranny fluid was BLACK, and my battery needed servicing, also had an oil change done. When I went to pick the vehicle up they didnt even offer me my inspection sheet, I had to specifically ask for a copy of my own. When I brought the SUV into my regular mechanic the next week that I know personally they walked me through OK tires inspection and showed me with my own eyes: my fan belt has not a single crack in it, my transmission fluid was red (although slightly dirty but definitely nowhere near black) and the battery had some corrosion but tested in GOOD condition (gave me the print out to prove it). Save your money and go to someone trustworthy.

Terrible customer service/Human compassion. Stuck outside the front of the shop on my way to work today with a flat tire and no money. I have a spare in my car but no tools. I went in and asked to borrow one and was refused. The only thing they could suggest was to book in my car for repairs. I repeated I have no money and i need to get to work please help me. This was refused and was suggested that I walk to lordco down the street and buy something (again I had no money). I told them one more time please help me I just need to borrow a tool and was refused for the last time. I will never spend one cent in this store they do not deserve Anyones business!!

Pricey in my opinion. Van broke down wont start tried jumping. So got it towed $100 from bcaa (towed less than 2 km.) Told me the cost would be = diagnosis plus cost of labour and price of battery. Labour was for 1hr to install a battery ( bull #$×= - I could do it in 15 mins) I wish I new they charged the full hour. Diagnosis was 1 hr Battery $140 All and all was over $400 and near 500. For a tow and battery and time seems a bit high to me. Should have been $100 less.

I had my 328 BMW serviced in September at auto West BMW in Richmond and because I was taking it on a long trip I had them check the car thoroughly I have just been to OK tire on 72nd to do a tire rotation and they advised me that I only had 10% left on my front brakes and they would be able to do the work right away I then took it back to Auto West and the brakes are fine. I thought these kind of scammers were on there way out

Our first impression. Today we were first time overe there and we liked it. We brought our Hyundai Santa Fe 2004 (car from Alberta) for Out Of Province Inspection and we met Scott, front desk representative. He explained us procedure, took car keys and after 45 minutes everything was done incl. paperwork. Great job Scott and crew! Thank you guys!

Had a flat tire and they would not help me change tires because they were 30 minutes from closing and "didnt have enough time." Went to another mechanic and they replaced my tires in 15 minutes
