I am the Owner of SEARS Carpet and upholstery Cleaning in Vancouver. One of my trucks was in an accident on September 24 of this year. I had it towed to my usual shop, New Westminster Auto body, who were honest and told me they we booked up and couldnt look at it for at least a week. I appreciated their honesty, everyday I cant use the truck I lose between $800 and $1000 a day. I went to several auto body shops in the area looking for someone who could take it right away. My operations manager spoke to George at Craftsman and he assured us he could get on it right away. He said the manager Ted was away and he would pass on the urgency of this matter when he got back. We towed it to them, a few days went by and we received no information on the extent of the damage or a time line for completion. After repeated calls from my operations manager and my self I finally got a copy of the estimate. On October 15 I received a copy of the quote. Turns out the adjuster, who I have yet to hear from, authorized up to $18,000 worth of repairs. I was told at that time the work was underway and should be done shortly. My issue, it took almost 3 weeks before I was given a breakdown of the loss and an apparent timeline for repairs. The truck was only ready today, November 16 2012. I received the song and dance from Ted today trying to justify the time it took to complete the 85 hour repair. He claims you take the number of hours estimated and multiply it by 3 and that is how long it takes to have the repair completed. If that is he case why wasnt this information shared on the front end? If I knew it was going to be $15,000 and 7 weeks to repair my 2009 GMC I would have taken a cash settlement and purchased a new truck and had my unit installed it to it in less then 2 weeks. These guys knew the loss I was facing in my business and thought nothing of it as it is a collision claim and ICBC has no exposure for loss of business. We all know that if this was a liability claim that repair would have been completed as fast as possible. When did insurance become about contractors and the agents and no longer about the customer? I am now forced to file a claim with my business insurance to try and recoup some of my loss of business($45,000) The system is broke, my guess is the adjuster never even looked at the van. The contractor didnt bother to inform me, the client, of the cost or the options because as far as they are concerned its a $15,000 job that would walk out the door if I knew the options up front. I will not be recommending this branch for anything in fact I will be going out of my way to share my experience so that everyone is aware of the service I received. Be aware. Someone rear-ended my car so I was looking for a body shop near to where I live and decided to go with Craftsman as they sponsor my works SOS Childrens Gingerbread Village and Ive heard good things about them. The whole experience was great. They made everything easy, they took care of contacting ICBC to confirm that the deductible was waived. They even finished the repairs a day early. It is a busy place though, dont expect to get an appointment and courtesy car right after you get the estimate. My bumper looks brand new now!

I had my doubts about this location based on the reviews, but reality is I needed to get my car fixed and this was a convenient location. I took my car in after being rear ended. The repair was done in a timely fashion. The estimator I interacted with, Patrick, was very friendly and professional. He was accommodating to my commuting needs, and took extra attention to detail to my vehicle. All in all I had a very pleasant experience with the Craftsman Collision at this location (though the accident part sucked).

Took our car here coz the left passenger door was in an accident.told us they had to tell ICBC that theyre ordering a new door, had us wait for several weeks told us there was none available.i was even shown the order. When we finally got our car back we noticed it was the same door. They were double charging icbc.

Paid too much just so I could get a few scratches of my car. Ever since my car has had troubles with the air conditioning and even worse my battery dies and I cant even get into my car to jump start it. Thanks craftmas collision for ruining my weekend and my brand new car. I am never going to use or recommend you.

Had to go 3 times to get a less than impressive job, car had paint fumes all over the it, even on windows, paint was not polished properly, for some reason ended up with scratches on the hood, which was not where they worked on. New car, paint feels like a 10 year old car. Will not return.

Great customer service, and did the job a day faster than expected even though there was more damage than they originally noticed. Very kind, and told me it would be no issues if I found any problems with the work they did, it is guaranteed for life.

Had to return more than 6 times to get work completed properly (wrong paint, used broken parts, etc). I went to them as you collect air miles, but its not worth it. My car will never be the same. The manager is rude, and confrontational.

Nice people, fairly decent repair jobs. However, wait for courtesy car is longer than a week; shows people like this place.
