Went to kal tire for the very first time ever and received what I thought was good service. But little was I wrong. I went in to order winter tires and asked for a certain type and they said they dont stick hem and they would have to order them in. I agreed to wait a Couple days for my tires. Went back to get my brand new winter tires put on. Went home couple days later my husband asks me "werent you getting other tires? , cause those ones arent the ones you asked for" I was little frustrated so when I went back for my 100km re torque I mentioned that I didnt receive the tires that I had asked for. They replied that" oh they dont ever have those tires in stock" and I said "you told me you were going to order them in" the man behind the desk continued to tell me that they are "practically the same tire , since they are made at the same factory" I said "but thats not the tire I wanted and you should have told me that you dont get those tires in stock" he replied by saying " do u want to give the tires back?" I said "no, but you should have told me the correct information. " so in the end I kept the tires I didnt ask for, but I shall never buy another tire from kal tire Castlegar ever again. Oh yeah and torquing tires is suppose to be a smooth evenly applied pressure not a jerking motion. Budz.

We were recently on a family vacation and noticed the tire on our utility trailer was losing air. As we had to pass through Castlegar on our way to Christina Lake we decided to stop into Kal Tire to get it fixed. When we pulled in they said they could fix the flat right away and sent us around to the back of the building. When we parked 3 Guys jumped on it like it was a pit stop in an Indy Car race!! In no time flat the tire was off, the leak was patched and the tire was back on the trailer. I was amazed at the high level of service they provided. What blew me away even more was they refused to take payment for the repair. I cant say enough good things about how they handled our predicament and dealt with us in a friendly and expedited fashion. I only wish I had taken their names so I could give them individual accolades in this review. In summary, if you have a tire issue and youre in the area take it to these guys, youll be well taken care of!!

I wish I could give 0 stars, but that is not an option. Yesterday I called down to Kal Tire to see how much if would cost to check why my Check Engine light was on. Over the phone they told me that it was free, so I went down there to have that done... After sitting in the waiting room for an hour and a half, they finally told me what the problem was, #4 coil sensor, easy enough to fix at home and way cheaper...... so I said thanks and Ill fix it myself, turns out the reason I was waiting so long is that they just took it upon themselves to fix it without my permission. They tried to charge me $200 plus tax. I went down to figure out why a light was on, they said it would be a free check, and they must have just thought I was a girl they could rip off or something. I will NEVER go back to any Kal Tire, we had a similar problem 4 years ago at the location in Grand Forks.

I have had several good experiences with Kal Tire in Castlegar but this last one takes the cake. My summers were bald and I needed both tires and rims. I told Tim what I was generally looking for and he helped me make a selection. They took my old tires out of the car for me and within a weeks time I had my appointment to get the new ones mount and balanced. It is an expensive purchase especially for a student. They found me the best discounts and accommodated a payment method that suit my needs. The final results exceeded my expectations. The rims look incredible. Any and all of my questions and or concerns were addressed promptly. I am pleased with the service I received. All of the staff I had interactions with treated me very well and professionally. I do recommend this place and I will be returning. Thanks a bunch guys! Cheers!

Our experience with Kal Tire in Castlegar is an excellent since we started using it (1.5 years). We are always dealing with Nicolas who is very good car mechanic, and since he takes care of our vehicles we feel confident and satisfied. One of our cars was making awful noise and several shops tried to fix it unfortunately unsucessfully, however Nicolas fixed it at once. The other car was loosing an air pressure in one of the tires and we were told by other shop that the rim needs to be replaced, since it was fixed by Nicolas it holds perfectly well and the rim has not been replaced. We replaced the tires following Nocolas recommendation, which happened to be great decission proven during winter conditions. We feel very fortunate and pleased.

We were passing through on a road trip from Vancouver to Crawford bay they got us in right away and let us borrow their company van to go into town.
