I first went to HTV AUTO BODY last week after buying a second hand car. Some lights had come on my dash board which I was worried about. I rang them up expecting to have to book my car in to be look at, but they said I could bring my car round straight away, which I was very pleased about. Went I got there one of the mechanic took my keys straight away and started testing my car to see what was wrong, in the process they even pumped one of my low tires and checked for leaks, which was an added bonus. After they found what was wrong, they explain what needed fixing so I could understand, but yet they didnt make me feel like an idiot, as I dont know much about cars. I left with a pumped up tire, my oil filled and knowing what was wrong with my car and a estimate for repair would be sent to me. A few days later another light came on my car. The same thing again, I rang them and they saw my car straight away and told me what was wrong, I also booked it in for a full check over. I then returned for my car check within an hour they had finished with my car and went through in detail things that needed to be looked at. He told me what was urgent and what could be left for a later date. I then booked my car in for things I wanted repairing. I returned the next day for my repairs a few hours later my car was ready, they had even fixed my tire with a patch which I wasnt excepting. Another bonus they had done the work cheaper than quoted as they found one pair wasnt necessary and didnt charge my for my tire fixing either. They explained everything they had done, and even showed me the old pairs so I could see where the damage was. Trong, the nice man who runs the place, is very friendly, always greets you by name making you feel welcome and is chatty and informative. All in all, friendly people, you get your car seen to very quickly, everything is explained and the prices are good. I will be bringing my car back here for future repairs. Abigail

Needed to get about a 6" crack in my truck bumper fixed from an off-road mishap. I definitely didnt want to put in an ICBC claim and had no clue how much it would cost but figured the big collision centers would take my wallet and I for a turn, so I did a quick Google search and found that HTV had an unusually large number of great reviews for a small relatively unknown shop (at least to me). Initial impressions of his small shop arent anything to write home about and one could easily drive past it, but I took the reviews into consideration and went in. Trong the owner/operator seemed like a friendly guy thats upfront and no-nonsense. Told me right away exactly what would need to be done, how it would be done and for how much with no fuss. He answered all my concerns and told me he would guarantee his work. His estimate was shockingly lower than I had expected which was a little unsettling given it is a smaller owner/operator run shop, given the get what you pay and if its too good to be true it probably is running in through the back of my head. On the way home just to settle my apprehension, I stopped at a designated ICBC shop to get a quote and I could not believe the disparity between their quote and Trongs and I mean major disparity, I was told it couldnt be fixed and would need to be replaced. Needless to say I took the risk and had HTV do the work and I can say they did a damn good job and in less time than expected. The repair quality was on par with any major collision shop Ive used for my other vehicles in the past. Im glad I took a chance with HTV, they came through for me and I cant complain about a thing. Highly recommend giving them a shot.

Upon searching on Google for auto shops in Lower Mainland and how theyre reviewed, I decided to visit HTV because of the extent to which theyre praised. As it turns out, the praise is justified. First, I paid them a visit to diagnose and repair my check-engine light and what caused it, respectively. I was promptly greeted by Trong, who retrieved a scanner and hooked it up to get to the source of the problem. Within about five minutes, he suggested I replace the third-party gas cap I had installed with the one my vehicle came with. So thats what I did; then, when Trong cleared the code, lo and behold the light vanished for good. How much was I charged? Zilch. For the sake of comparison, consider what Canadian Tire charges just to diagnose a check engine light -- $100. A few days later, I visited them again because I found a nail lodged in my tire. Without making an appointment, I dropped by the shop and again, was greeted by Trong. Without hesitation or sass, he asked one of his employees to take a look at the tire. After roughly ten minutes, an employee who removed the tire, took out the nail and inspected the tread for damage, informed me that the obstruction did not penetrate deep enough to incur any serious damage. Subsequently, he put the tire back on. I asked Trong how much I owed. He said a mere $10. Needless to say, I was delighted. All in all, HTV comprise of a down-to-earth and hard-working team who do the job and charge incredibly fair prices (if at all!). Theyre nice people who will restore your faith in the integrity of automotive shops.

I recently had a great experience with HTV Autobody. I would highly recommend them, especially for any private body work claims. ICBC wanted to write-off my moms CRV, as they estimated the repair cost to greatly exceed the cost of the vehicle. We wanted to keep the vehicle, as we had from new and it was always maintained, but none of the bigger chain shops (Craftsman, Kirmac etc..) would repair it as their labor costs were too high and couldnt meet the ICBC repair budget. HTV not only repaired the vehicle under the repair budget (where the larger shops couldnt), but the painted body panels looked brand new from the factory (no overspray, no orange peel, and deep deep clear coat finish). The owner (Trong) was very courteous and professional, and very responsive to my calls and inquiries. He also took the time to fix a few other small dings and issues at no extra cost. He told me that he does all the painting for the shop, no matter the job. I was so impressed with the quality of work and service, that i went back to HTV to paint and fit my aftermarket front lip spoiler on my BMW. Many of the tabs and mounting points were broken as the bumper was ripped off from a fender bender by the PO. Trong took the time to plastic weld/hot staple many of the broken mounting tabs/points, re-fit the bumper tightly to the frame, and fitted the lip nicely to the bumper. He also did this at a price MUCH MUCH less than quotes from several other shops i contacted. If you are looking for affordable, yet quality bodywork, i recommend you contact HTV to see how they can help you.

Both my neighbors and my car were vandalized and needed immediate care because of the broken glass. After some research on line, I decided to take my car to HTV, instead of those ICBC approved shop. And it turned out I made the right call. The owner, Tron, is a nice guy and he cares about the customers. His explanation of what needs to be done is very detail and his operation is transparent-he does not cut corners. I spent sometime to chat with him and his partner while they were performing the repair and learned they are professional and honest people, I will take my car back to HTV for any future repairs. I used to hang out with couple car mechanics and technicians and know how they can make money and using the wholesale parts system to earn very high percentage of the profit for the parts on top of labors. I do not see that here at HTV. All in all, I found HTVs quote is very reasonable and backed with quality of work. They also show a sense of emergency to get the job done (not rushed), if they promise the car is ready by a certain time, the car will be ready by then, at least in my case and my neighbors. Whens the last time you ever see so many positive reviews regarding a repair shop? Tron and his team deserve every one of them. I only have good things to say and positive recommendation to make for HTV. If you are looking for repair shop and end up here reading the reviews, Id say you are the lucky few. Give Tron a call, he will make you a happy customer.
