Its interesting how all the positive reviews were responded to by the manager but total ignorance on this one, even months later lol. Took my V6 accord coupe here for an oil change. Garrison at the counter was a chill, personable guy. Pretty informative and honest about the servicing my car needed and when. My only gripe, which I just now discovered, was the cabin air filter I had replaced through them. Garrison brought my old dirty cabin filter out and it was pretty clogged up, and thats fair given Id never bothered to check it when I bought the car off the first owner. He told me the paper filter I had would be $59 but he had a Fram Arm and Hammer brand one for $39 and tax, which he said was a good price. As I was already there and had no reason to doubt him, I told him to go ahead and order one. Imagine my surprise after I looked up the filter online and saw it priced at about $13 on Amazon, Walmart and most other stores. $15 at Canadian Tire. The very same exact one. Even the paper ones were more like $11 than $59. I get that he tried to up sell me something and was able to get away with it, and the reasonably priced oil change does soften the blow a little, but Im not sure I can appreciate the near 300% mark up. Its just not a great feeling knowing someone pulled a fast one on you like that. It just makes me a little sad cuz the whole time I was there I did feel like I was being given genuine advice like other people here seem to have got.

I came across Crompton Brothers on groupon. I researched them and read good reviews, so I decided to give them a try when I needed some work done on my car. I had become suspicious of my previous mechanic when they said my car required a certain part replaced, and they wanted to charge me $500 for it. I called around to a few shops, and it seemed like that price was double what everyone else was charging. I booked an appointment with Crompton Brothers and brought my car in to Riaz. They checked over my car and told me that the part my previous mechanic told me about didnt need replacing at all. Riaz and his guys do great work and I feel confident that they are being honest with me. At a later date I took my car back to Riaz. A couple of weeks afterwards, I went to check my oil level when I was gassing up, and the sheath that the dipstick goes into came out entirely. My car started leaking oil as a result. It was the weekend so I left a message for Riaz. He called me back first thing on Monday and he made room for me to bring my car in as soon as I was able to. I drive an older car and I suspect that the dipstick sheath breaking after the service was just a coincidence. Regardless, Riaz had it fixed for me within a couple of hours and didnt charge me anything. I plan to keep taking my car to these guys, they know how to treat customers.

The best quality and costumer service I have ever experienced!!There are not a enough nice words to explain how grateful I am for the Crompton Brothers! My car had a cracked engine block and Honda refused to cover the cost. (Because I was 4 months out of warranty). Honda wanted to charge me a ridiculous price. I honestly felt so lost and didnt know what to do. I thought I was going to have to scrap my car. I am so thankful I found Riaz and Crompton Brothers. They got back to me so fast and were so accommodating. They were able to find a solution for my car that meant not scraping my car. Not only is Riaz so understanding and patient but he goes over and above to find the best solution for your car. They were thorough and got me back into my car way quicker than I expected. Tammy and Riaz welcome you into the shop and make you feel so comfortable. You can ask anyone that goes to Crompton Brothers and they will tell you the same thing, that it is the best shop. Its an honest shop that does their research and wont sell you things you dont need. Riaz was able to answer any and all questions I had (no matter how silly they probably seemed). They treat you with so much respect and its refreshing. I cant imagine trusting anyone else with my vehicle!

Terrible experience! I went to this place a few month ago for a A/C inspection since the air conditioning wasnt cooling enough. After a quick check they told me that the car would be ready in about 2 hours so I left the car and went back home. Two hours later I came back to pick it up and turns out that my car wasnt ready, in fact, they didnt touch it at all in those two hours so at the end they made me wait there for 6 hours! and the worst part is that they couldnt fix the problem and I ended up paying $500 for an unfixed A/C. However, they gave a free oil change in compensation for the waiting (pretty nice right?) but guess what, I recently brought back the car for the free oil change and once I got there the staff told me that they cannot receive more cars since the shop was already full for the day (even though I made an appointment 4 days before!). I dont have anything against these ppl but if they dont have the decency of giving you a call to cancel the appointment then they obviously dont care about customer service at all...

Went in for a Groupon oil change. Ended up paying an additional $36!! The groupon is only for a $5.99 filter and only so much oil, the Kia Sorento has a filter insert worth more, no problem I get that but...they charged me $24.00 for a filter that Kia dealer sells for $17.00 (who charges more than a dealer)? Then they charged extra labour because they said it takes a special tool and extra labour to do this work....what! Talking to Kia, it is nothing special. You are still just taking off the filter housing, popping in a new cartridge and presto! In the end I paid slightly more than the dealer was charging. The lady at the counter was very nice and said they could refund me some money to satisfy my discontent. I thanked her, but declined. I just wont go back. Then 4 weeks later noticed they did not return my wheel lock key, they offered to pay for the expense to take the lug lock off, but Kia is doing for free while they are changing out my tires.

I stumbled upon Crompton Brothers by accident for an oil change one day a couple of years ago after receiving a referral for another shop nearby. I am so glad my direction challenged self found Riaz and his team instead! I do know cars, but find that some shops try take advantage of women. Crompton does not mess around when it comes to fixing only what you need done. If there is something wrong that is unexpected, theyll take the time to call you in to physically show you the problem before performing any work. Riaz consistently goes above and beyond, and is always throwing in extras when need be. I had a problem that I wasnt sure would be covered under warranty with Subaru or not. They checked it out, and referred me back to Subaru for warranty repairs. Its so refreshing being able to trust someone with you vehicle and have full confidence that theyre not going to rip you off. I would recommend this place to friends, family, and strangers.
