I had a bad experience, when I bought a used car and realized after the fact there were many unneeded insurances added on and short warranties worth over 50% of the cost of my vehicle. It is my first car, and I went car shopping by myself without anyones assistance (in hindsight I dont recommend doing that your first time) it all happened so fast and I didnt have time to read what I was signing, and took some misleading statements at face value. Later realized that before even factoring in GST or interest I had paid $15,909.91 for a car worth $10,595 -- so thats $5,314.91 or 50% of the value of the car in extra warranties and insurance. So imagine my disbelief when I found out the warranty was only good for 6 months and I was no longer covered. Initially I gave Coastal Ford Burnaby 1 Star, because not only did I feel like I had been taken for a fool, when I called and asked questions about it I felt like I was given the run around by some of the staff there. I am however, changing my review and giving it 3 stars, solely because the manager Gary was so quick to rectify the situation upon hearing about it. He called me within an hour, and ordered my file from off site storage on a rush, he called me the very next day and set up an appointment for me to come in, and go over the paperwork again. I am still not happy with how I was treated up to this point, but having seen how management went out of their way to make me a happy customer I cannot blame the entire company for the actions of a few.

A very transaction based Ford dealer. Do not expect anything afterward. First, three separate sales people had no clue about the car I wanted to purchase. They could not tell me anything about its features and main selling point. Good thing I actually knew what I wanted so it did not matter. The main sales person promised "he would do everything to get what I am asking" - which included some accessories for the vehicle. My bad for not making him signing on paper, because I got nothing. Post transaction experience was hell. They tried to up-sell everything that I could purchase for half or less outside of this dealership. For example, all those "treatment" you can purchase for the car - even at a "combo" discount, I could source similar service outside for about half within a 10km radius. Please educate yourself and be prepared to say no for those "extra services" unless you really know what youre getting. Further, do yourself a favour if you have a flat tire and do not come here. They priced a single replacement tire for $299, where you get two similar ones but higher speed rating at Costco not too far for $399. Oh, do watch out if for any reason they failed to cash in a cheque. They will call you like loan sharks every single day and threaten to sell yours to collection agency. They can process bank drafts and money orders easily, but for some mysterious reason, they cannot process a personal cheque properly. There is free coffee and water here.

This is primarily a review on the service side and most of my experiences were negative. Primarily for warrantee service on a 2013 Focus. I have dealt with them for parts more details below. Lately their service line never picks up it always goes to voice mail. Their service advisers are average at best and below average most of the time. I get the feeling they just want to take down the info and get me out of there instead of actually trying to understand the problem Im trying to describe. They do a poor job conveying the info to the techs as to what the actual issues are and resulted in me having to go back multiple times to get one issue fixed. Im not sure what type of training service advisors get but I would imagine they should have some basic knowledge of cars, I cant say for sure but I get the feeling that some of them lack this knowledge. The only reason I keep going back is due to the proximity to where I live, I only have one more year of warranty service left so I will likely try to find another dealership for my next service issue. Cannot comment about their sales staff but I would recommend staying away from this shop for any service related issues. I have dealt with their parts department and they seem to be pretty good. The guy even put a part on hold for me even though I didnt say I was coming in that day, it was the last item in stock so I was grateful in the event that someone else wanted the same part that day.

My brand new FORD ESCAPE 2017 TITANIUM which I leased 6 month ago is in the shop for repair. Im really frustrated because my $43K car was in repairshop for almost 2 months intermittently out of that 6 months. My car has been towed to this dealer ship yesterday evening. Service woman said there is no curtsy car and has asked me to show up at 8:00 the morning just to be lucky to have a rental car. I went there by bus and arrived at 8:15 AM; there were just two options to rent: F150 OR FIESTA! which non of them would work for me, finally selected F150 paying $20 a day waiting for my car to get fix. Good job FORD: paying $287 BIWEEKLY for a junk unsafe car which is driving backward regardless which gear you put with a hard break. On top of that biweekly payment I should pay $20 daily plus Gas payment (imagine for F150) and lots of time following up because of low quality car and poor services. Previous dealership (Key west Ford) couldnt address the issue. they told me to monitor It! I told them u want me to put my family life in jeopardy for monitoring your unsafe car?!! I wont purchase any FORD product anymore and wont recommend to anybody.

For reasons outside my control, I brought my car to the Service Department, Doug was not the friendliest guys to deal with though. I took my car for an engine wash/shampoo, damage investigation due to rodents and to put a new cabin air filter. I took them more than a day to do all those 3.....thats what I thought. I picked up my car and all good on paper. I got a negative vibe from Doug, so I decided to open the hood and guess what. Nothing was done, even the engine cover was dirty, he was with me saying that the engine was fully cleaned and nothing was wrong with the wiring. Then I removed the engine cover and all intact, full of dirt and droppings. Nothing was done. He took the car inside, sprayed some type of liquid and quickly cleaned the engine. Nothing was said in the form of an apology like, "we are sorry" or maybe, "this has never happened before" or "I would talk to the Service Manager", nothing. So now my car smells terrible and he didnt do the cleaning properly. If you are bringing your car here, whenever possible, check the stuff they told you they were going to do.

my sales rep was a fraud. i was looking for a new escape and found one to my likings. after a test drive and some bsing we came to a rough amount for this vehicle. keep in mind this is supposed to be a NEW vehicle. i told him i will think about the numbers and will meet with him tomorrow. the next day i went back with my spouse. she wanted to test drive the escape so off we went. when we returned to the dealership she noti ced the odometer with more than 1000 (more than one thousand) kilometers on it. i asked the sales guy for an explanation. he says its not a demo vehicle but it was a vehicle that someone had bought the vehicle and took it home (squamish being home) and drove it for a week. financing failed so the vehicyle had to be returned. the sales guy trys to convince me since ownership was never taken due to financing issues the vehicle therefore is considered new!!! F***K*N BS. none of this was originally disclosed at any point until my spoused brought it up! their location at on Terminal Ave in vancouver is just as good. read my review there.
