I am giving 1 Star only because I could use their washroom, right next to the entrance without seeing this horrible worker. That was only positive thing I can say about this place. WARNING: the worker tried to just add a fuel charge to my wifes bill claiming gas tank is NOT full. Now that I think about it and since I saw another review below mention that it happened to them also, I think he does this consistently to see if some people would just let this slide. I told him that I filled up the gas till the pump automatically stopped at the gas station 400m away right before we returned it. Then he was saying he is going to drive to the gas station and if he can put ANY more gas, he will charge us then. Even when the pump stops, we all know you can squeeze in a bit more that doesnt mean its not full. I asked him if this is how you check the fuel level at AVIS and he was claiming yes. After he refused to "Waste his time to double check the fuel gauze", I asked him for the key back and took a picture of the display as shown below. You can see that the needle has even gone past the last segment of the arc. I dont know how much more the needle needs to go before he thinks its full. After seeing this picture he is saying it could show FULL because of the camera angle. Enough said. Dont go here unless you want to get a surprise in your bill. My wife is contacting AVIS CANADA and we will see what they have to say about this.

If I could leave this place a negative review I would! Seriously, save your money and your stress. When we went in to rent the car, it took almost an hour. The clerk kept jumping between people. I hated that my info was sitting on the counter and now another patron was being helped where I should have been standing. It was a nightmare. The computer "crashed" three times. He couldnt figure out how to add a driver then couldnt figure out how to remove the added driver. In this day and age renting a car should be SO MUCH EASIER! Then I go to return it and the owner (T. Rajan) is busy yelling/berating the other employee in front of customers. Fine the guy forgot to tell clients where to find the rental but to lose it on him in front of other customers?? Then as Im holding it together, the owner answers calls instead of closing out my rental. If I didnt remind him to add the toll fees, he wouldnt have done it. And Ive never actually had funds withdrawn on my card as a hold. Or had to stand around for paperwork to be done for 30 minutes. What happened to easy renting? I rent way too many cars in Florida for work. Alamo is my go to but Hertz and Enterprise never disappoint. I will literally NEVER rent from Avis even if the car is free. Great job guys!

The manager at this location is super rude, didnt have my car ready (it always takes at least 30 minutes to check out and back in), and tried to accuse me of damaging the window and wanted to charge me a fee. The car was dirty (had not been washed or cleaned inside). They say they will email my receipt at the end and I never get them and have to follow up multiple times. They have also given me cars that had problems and I had to bring them back because of the issues right away (I have driven around the block and noticed something is wrong) and they are just like oh sorry, that car needs an oil change and has a problem with the front tires, here is another one. I have gone when there is a note on the door that they are gone and I cant find them for 30+ mins even though its during business hours. I have rented here a few times (only b/c its close to my work) and always have a terrible experience. I will not be going back and Avis has lost my business (and Im a good client as I rent for weeks at a time a lot for work purposes). I just booked my next car at Enterprise. I would NEVER recommend anyone give this location their business.

We made a reservation at AVIS last month. We didnt notice that we made a mistake when booking so that our reservation had to be cancelled at the scheduled pick-up date. We were so depressed and worried about our trip to the Rockies starting from Vancouver. The person at AVIS helped a lot. He tried really hard to re-book a car for us at the spot. And helped us look for better deals since theres a big gap of price between our previous reservation than the new one. It was a busy morning with many customers. The guy was patient and we really appreciated his help. Luckily, we got a nice car after one and a half hour and finally set off.

Very very bad experience! The first bad one in the perfectly organized Vancouver! We were waiting for an hour and a half to have our Car that was not ready. The service is the worst and the office organization is poor and dirty. The manager is rigid and is not able to manage even the simplest reservations prepaid by the agencies! English level of the manager and of the personnel is very poor and they are far away from the good manners and the concept of the respect and education. If you want to save your time, and your money, preserve you from stress and time consuming nonsense discussions you should look for another option!

the most rudest people I have ever met in my life!!! what kind of business are you running? I tried to rent a car and called for some information. the guy (brown accent) laughed at me when I asked why there was different costs online and told me "why did you call me if you already saw the price online?" and hanged up the phone on me. when my friend called they told her they were busy to talk on the phone and shouldnt call if she doesnt know what she wants. be careful they rip you off the price they tell you is not what they charge you and most of all are very rude. I will never rent from them!!!!

I didnt even rent from these guys. I agree with one of the comments below. I called to inquire about a vehicle, as thats one of the reasons to call a car rental company. The guy with the brown accent sounded so rude. I called twice, at two different times last month, and decided that its better to take my business an hour or more away (the airport) to get a cheaper rate, and a decently better service. I hope to see Avis shut down soon. Counting the days!

What an experience. Rep tried to tell me the gas tank wasnt full when I pumped it 3x more after the gas pump stopped. Then tried to overcharge me, then tried to say he charged me $350, then tried to say there was damage on the vehicle, then I had to call the cops....he said it was a communication error to the police. Funny how people change there tune when the cops get involved.

Unfortunately, on two occasions, they were 30 to 60 minutes late opening the office in the morning... once they get there, though, they are helpful and friendly. No after hours drop-off at this location, which is a little inconvenient. A surcharge applies if you try to collect frequent flyer points. Avis allows unlimited mileage out-of-province which is great.
