Buy a vehicle from these guys, period. When my 1/2 ton dodge was no longer useful for my business, I desperately needed a reliable work truck that could haul the loot. Wanted a 1 ton ford diesel, specifically with a 7.3 international motor. I spent 6 months looking until I found one at windmill by fluke, with 140,000 km!!!! Unheard of for a 2001! A blacked out, baise interior extended cab forf f350 powerstroke diesel lariete edition! This is a rare truck. Sam came to meet me at 830 pm! 2.5 hours after closing as I worked all day and had to drive from burnaby. After my initial 1 hour inspection and test drive which i wasnt rushed for, the only thing i found wrong the with the truck was old tires. Sam took my concern seriously and put brand new tires on it to compliment the already brand new 20 inch metal mulisha rims. I didnt want to negotiate anymore from there. This dealership deserves every penny. The entire undercarriage was sprayed and they did an awesome job, they didnt just spray over mud and rust like surrey dealerships would. I had to give him a deposit and he was patient in waiting almost 3 weeks for me to sell my old truck and put the money together. I had a busy work schedule on my purchase date and sam met me to close the deal at 8 pm! You dont get this service at any used vehicle dealership. This truck is mint and when i went to pick it up the entire thing was detailed inside and out! I drove home feeling like I just bought a brand new truck!!! Sam doesnt sell garbage in his lot, give this dealership a try you wont regret it

- UPDATE- Mar.16.16. So I have had my car for almost a year. I finally needed something...brake pads....Sam told me to bring my car back for maintenance as I was concerned of cost - BMW.....I called him - he said bring it in anytime...he ordered my pads put them on and it didnt break the bank and I am happy and safe. I am still extremely happy with my vehicl and with Sams help, owning a BMW IS affordable.......HAPPY. His staff are always happy to help me with my sometimes silly concerns..... I made a vehice purchase two weeks ago. My dealings with Sam were smooth and uneventful. Just what you want when buying a car. No haggling back and forth for hours and hours like some dealerships.....and trust me I can haggle, but in this case I did not feel I needed to. Sam assured me it was a good reliable vehicle. There were a few issues with the vehicle and he is proactive and took my concerns seriously. He welcomed me back at any time should anything come up and he would help me address the issues and help any way he can. I take customer service very seriously...and this was a great experience and worth writing about. I am happy and feel confident he will help me in the future should the need arise to upsize or downsize. I think I may be a Windmill lifer - .

We drove down to Abbotsford from Vernon specifically to buy a Jeep Commander from Windmill. We had previously agreed on a price, so we came down. When we got there, the owner/manager was not there, and there was issues with the price we agreed on. Had to wait for HOURS before the owner came in to work out the deal again. We took the truck to a nearby shop for an inspection where they could not find out why the truck was making a clicking sound from the motor. Windmill said they would pay for parts to repair the issue if an issue was found. After two years of living with the clicking sound, FINALLY a shop found the issue.. (No one else could figure it out in all this time!) Broken exhaust manifold bolts!!! Now they have to take the motor out to replace the bolts. Over 1000 bucks worth of service. I guess this is just all a part of buying a USED vehicle. I never had to haggle as hard and somewhat angry and as emotionally as we did that day. It really was not a very enjoyable experience buying here. This is just our own personal experience, others may vary. Weve also had problems getting things covered by First Canadian Protection as well!! (The warranty we bought when we purchased the truck.) I would not recommend anyone buy the extended warranty.

Pros: Sam and Jeremy are helpful, honest, and not pushy. I flew into town to pick up the truck and Sam gladly picked me up from the airport. When I found the truck to have some issues, Sam was quick to try and make it right, giving me a few options including offering to fly me home. Cons: Unfortunately the truck was not in the condition I expected. The truck had higher kms than the majority of the vehicles they usually sell and while they did an inspection on it before hand they missed something that I felt was important for my safety driving home (Sam seemed to share my concern). After spending a day and a half in shops and trying to fix the problem, I felt the truck was safe and decided to take it anyways because it was priced well. Still trying to resolve things at home. Overall, I had a disappointing experience due to the trucks issue, however I know that Sam and Jeremy learned as much from this experience as I did. I would not be afraid to work with the guys at Windmill Auto again.

I have yet to purchase a vehicle from Windmill Auto. However I did write paper on a diesel truck that later turned out to have a tiny, very hard to find, leak in the head gasket. Nobody knew about the leak when I signed the deal. After I signed the agreement Sam had the truck sent to a major diesel outfit to learn why a tiny amount of antifreeze was missing. I didnt ask Sam to do this. He did it because he was looking out both for his customer and his long term reputation. Most dealers would have just delivered the truck with the tiny leak and let me find out in a year or two when the head gasket gave out. Because Sam is a rare find. An honest car dealer. I had to let the public know that he really does look out for his customers best interests. I later checked out his story with the diesel company. It was told to me pretty much exactly as Sam had described.

After going through a horrible experience at the previous dealership I dealt with, I was hesitant to start looking at vehicles again. I drove by Windmill auto every day on my way to work admiring the Jeep SRTs out front. Finally after about two years, I walked through the doors to explore options. From the minute I met Sam and the team, I felt comfortable and respected. Sam listened to what I wanted and wanted me to be happy and confident with my choice. Not once did I feel under pressure or stressed. I highly recommend Windmill Auto for anyone that is looking for a great experience in purchasing a new ride. I will definitely be a long time returning customer. Thank you Sam , Jeremy and the rest of the team at Windmill Auto. :)

I purchased my 2012 dodge ram mega cab through Windmill. Sam had made this experience very memorable for me due to the ease of the whole transaction. I was on a family holiday in osoyoos and the deal was completed all over the phone and fax. when I picked up the vechicle it exceeded my expectations. after driving the truck for a few weeks I ran into a few problems and being in contact with Windmill they were very accommodating in seeing that these issues got fixed. I would recommend Windmill to any family member or friend for an unforgettable buying experience and will not hesitate to purchase another vechicle at Windmill Auto
