They will treat you like family. That is the most important thing, not a quick sale but like family. I got behind the wheel of a new Accord this week thanks to Mr Birk at the Honda Way. I originally met Mr Birk when I went to the Honda Way looking for a sales agent that helped me a number of years back. He had unfortunately retired. I was helped by Mr Birk in the purchase of a new Civic for a cousin of mine. He went above and beyond to get the deal done and to help her with all the new tech features on the new Civic. Next a nephew of a family member purchased a used car from Mr Birk. Mr Birk and the Honda Way got the deal done and again went above and beyond to make them happy in the deal and vehicle they purchased. Next a family friend purchased a used CRV from Mr Birk. The CRV was serviced so well by the Honda Way that it was like driving a new CRV off the lot. Mr Birk again when through the full set up of the CRV with the entire family and connected all their phones to the vehicle for them. As these individuals had been so happy with their dealing with Mr Birk, when my car was written off, I went straight to Mr Birk. It was quite easy to deal with Mr Birk and Brendon to get the deal done. The business office was incredible helpful. When it came time for me to get my vehicle, they went the extra lengths to make sure the vehicle was perfect. As the car was Black, they made sure there were no scratches, the same cannot be said for the previous dealerships I got my previous Accord from and my wifes CRV from. The Honda Way and Mr Birk were 100% better in customer service and ensuring the new car purchase was an easy experience, not a stressful one. Mr Birk also takes the time to introduce you to the managers and service department. It was during this introduction in the purchase of my cousins car that I started servicing my cars there as well. I had a life time oil change at my original dealership on Kingsway but got all the other servicing done at the Honda Way. My wife had a complementary service at the place we got her CRV from, but thanks to the service demonstrated by Mr Birk for the Civic purchase, we skipped the free service at Vancouver Honda and paid for the service at Honda Way. The better service experience from Gordie and Raymond are worth every penny. I also like that they have a touches car wash. This relationship that will be ongoing is thanks to the the service with many smiles provided by Mr Birk.

I bought a 2016 Civic back in August and I must say I have been quite disappointed overall with my purchasing experience and the service I continue to get. I have been a long time customer going to The Honda Way in Abbotsford for servicing etc because I liked their service and I felt that I could trust their work. Ive always felt like an appreciated customer even though I never bought a vehicle from there, I have always owned Honda/Acura. I decided it was time to buy a new car and thought what better place to buy a new car but Honda Abbotsford. The purchase of my new Honda was the first brand new car I have purchased and I must say other than the finance department, I wasnt impressed with the experience with the sales department. I wasnt very informed of anything about my new car or safety I was the one who had to ask about how many air bags, traction control etc and when I was taking possession of my car the Sales person I was dealing with wasnt even there and showed up half way through while someone else was showing me some features of the car. Not to mention my car wasnt even properly cleaned and had fingerprints all over it. Ive also been having some issues with the Apple Play in my car, so I set up an appointment to get it checked out. On arriving to Honda they informed me that it was going to be a 3 hour wait and that theyll be needing my phone. Personally I think if the service is going to be that long why wasnt I informed? Why wasnt I informed that they would need my phone for 3 hours? and why wasnt I offered a loaner car? Instead I was offered a shuttle or I could "hang out" at Honda. How are you suppose to contact me if I took the shuttle if you have my phone? So I had to cancel my appointment and reschedule and leave with no answers to why my Apple Play wasnt working and the guy I was dealing with was really rude about it. Ive dealt with him before and I wasnt very impressed with how he was whipping around in my car bringing my car back from service at their old location in the Auto Mall and noticed damage done to my car which there was paint on it which matched the exterior color of the building yet they argued with me about it.

On a rainy Saturday a few weeks ago I decided that driving my big truck for commuting was just too expensive and was going to start comparing commuter cars. After a couple of disappointing experiences at other dealers I walked onto the lot at Hondaway in the Abbotsford automall. Within a couple minutes I was greeted, outside in the rain by Jen Friesen. I was pretty impressed. Checkmark #1. After explaining a few options she asked if Id like a test drive. Sure. Jen pulled up in the Lunar Silver 2016 Civic EX. The colour I wouldve chosen to ask about. I dont know if she saw me eyeballing that colour on an Accord that was on the lot but she picked right. Checkmark #2. We Went for a drive and I quite enjoyed the car and Jen really knew her product well. She explained a lot of stuff while we were on the test drive. Checkmark #3. I was made a trade offer that was reasonable on my truck for the mileage on it. Checkmark #4. I went off in my old truck to take all my belongings out of it after Britney in the business office told me shed be in touch within an hour. Well she called in 10 minutes and we agreed on a time to pick up my new ride. Checkmark #5. I was really happy with my whole experience at Hondaway. I was treated very good and felt that my experience and my purchase were important to them. When I arrived to pick up my Civic I was warmly greeted, I guess having a nickname like Bubba and my story of why I was interested in a Civic made for a memory. Thank you Jen, Britney and the rest of the team for the great experience of buying a Honda Civic. I enjoy driving it every day for commuting and just general running around. I especially love it when I fill up the gas tank for about 40 bucks!!!!!!!!!

Buyers beware. Communication is great and friendly before you buy the car but after the paperwork is done, its a different story. Paperwork for the car was rushed because they were closing soon but within 30 minutes of leaving the dealership I let them know that there was an error. I was buying a battery electric vehicle through them that entitles me to a $250 point of sale discount when I am participating in the scrap it program. Two days before coming to view the car, they had full knowledge that I was going to participate in the scrap it program. I find it shocking that an authorized dealer listed on the scrap it website does not know anything about the scrap it program. Ultimately the dealership is not wanting to credit me the $250 that I am entitled to. Scrap it BC is currently conducting an investigation on the dealership so again, buyer beware. Do not deal with Brendon Hall (used car manager) or Carly McMillan (financial services manager). They dont get back to you when they say they will, provide false promises, and pretty much just lie. Also need to mention the ad for the car stated a thorough vehicle inspection was done and all that was needed were new wiper blades. The next day warning lights were going off on the dash and the ignition was not turning off. Took the car to another dealer the next week and found out the body control module was faulting because someone had wired the daytime running lights incorrectly. Resulted in a $238 repair by the other dealer.
