Experience with Sylvan Lake Auto Center I found the man behind the desk was extremely rude!!! And on more then 1 occasion. I made an appoitment with the owner Mike to have my truck re inspected, and tires to be put on. When my husband showed up for the appoitment he was informed it was never booked. When I contacted Mike he stated that he told me drop the truck off in the morning (he said 3pm when we first made the appoitment) And stated that he never promised to have the time to do the inspection (he did and even offered to make things work if it turned out that time would not work) And then also stated that I requested the 3pm shop time and it was my fault for not booking things ahead of time (I asked for the latest appointment they had in the day if it was possible and called days in advance) I then went into the shop and provided mike with the phone recording of our original conversation. No apology was offered or even a kind word I was just asked where my truck was and rudely informed to bring it in and the inspection would be done and then he quickly walked away. I went home grabbed my family and my truck and went back to the shop. Again the man behind the desk was so rude and insulting. After waiting another 15min I spoke again with Mike and informed him that I would not pay for my truck to be re inspected but would pay for the tires to be put on. He laughed at me and stated that I was being a very un reasonable customer. I reminded him of the insulting way I had been treated and the inconvenience me and my family were put through (at this time it was 445pm my husband went to the shop for my appoitment at 3pm). He stated he was accommodating me by "fitting me in" And that I should be greatful. I informed him this was not a way to conduct business and the man behind the desk stated that it didnt matter my opinion because they had a 5 star rating on facebook. I post this because I think people should be aware of how poorly they treat there customers when they have made a mistake. (I have the phone recordings if anyone who like to here them they will be uploaded to my you tube page within the next few days) I was not looking for a "free ride" and when I originally booked the appoitment I had no problem paying to have it re inspected (7days past the 30 day mark of my last inspection with them) but personally after being treated so bad and because of there mistake they should have offered to re inspect the truck for free and i was still more then willing to pay for the tires.. Customers beware.... they are sweat as pie until they screw up and you point it out to them.

I was in a rental car and travelled to Sylvan Lake on business just for the day. The car had a plastic guard underneath the front grill drop and drag along the floor as I drove from some previous damage I assume. So, stuck in Sylvan Lake not knowing a soul, I drove into their place and asked for their help. Without a second thought, the manager (I think) went back and got a mechanic Todd to check it out. Before I could go and explain the problem, Todd was underneath it, fixing the problem. I stood while he chatted in great spirits as he got it ready to drive again safely. When he was finished, he walked away not charging me a dime for his efforts. The manager came and checked that everything was good to go and they both said goodbye with a smile,. I am so appreciative of their kindness and understanding. I cannot promise them any return business since I live in Edmonton but I can hope someone will read this review and take my advice. I will however, return with my promise of something nice, like cookies :) someday soon. Thanks again gentlemen! Karen

I took my car car cause it just randomly broke down it turned out to be a pretty big fix and they just worked there hardest and got it done in less then a week and were just really great!!!
