I had to book my vehicle in for a recall recently and decided to book with Sherwood Park Chevrolet. On the phone I had booked my car in and was told it would be done by the end of the day if I dropped it off by 730 in the morning. Over the phone I had asked if I would get a rental or how that would work as I needed to get to work downtown Edmonton. I was told a rental would not be a problem - no mention of shuttle, or any other information pertaining to the rental. I arranged my morning accordingly and had the car there by 720am. I was taken in right away, and then informed of another recall that had to be done on my car (which I had forgotten about) and was asked if I just wanted to re -book entirely and have them both done at the same time as the other recall would take 2 days to be finished, but that would not be able to be done until the next week. I said no I would book another appointment for that as I was already there, the woman did not seem overly impressed at that answer. As I was waiting for the the lady. I spoke to another service worker there who said that they did have a shuttle who goes downtown and that it wouldnt have been a problem to get me to and from work. The woman I was dealing with then came out to let me know I could go in to arrange a rental. I did not have my visa on me as I was not told that I needed one to arrange this and I do not carry it with me regularly, so I offered a cash deposit instead. The lady at the cash desk (who was very friendly) said it shouldnt be a problem and just had to clear it with the Assistant Manager. The woman who I was originally dealing with came in and the first thing she said was "So no credit card? Do you not have one at all?" To which I replied I do but it is currently at home as I was not aware that I needed one for today as nothing was mentioned over the phone. She then asked if I could call home or go home and get it. Which I could not as no one was home, and I did not have time to go home and come back and still make it to work on time. She then said that they would not let me use a vehicle for the day and was very rude about it. I said well it would have been nice to know when I originally booked the appointment to know what I required ahead of time. To which she rudely remarked " Have you never rented a vehicle before?!" Instead of offering me a shuttle and apologizing for any miscommunication. She proceeded to walk me to my car and said to re-book. Saying its just like enterprise or anywhere else youd rent a vehicle, and that I should have known. I would like to note that I just recently rented a car from enterprise for the first time to have a minor repair done at a body shop, and did not require a visa for it, and was able to leave a cash deposit that was returned at the end of the transaction with absolutely no problems. I will never set foot in this dealership again as I will not be treated with the lack of respect, and be spoken down to in any situation, let alone first thing in the morning. The woman obviously does not want to work, or have her staff work at all, so I will be sure to never give it there. I will be finding another dealership to have my recalls done as well as any other future business that they may have had from me. Absolutely horrible service.

Please shop here carefully. This dealership is all about smoke and mirrors. Just recently purchased a used vehicle from this dealership and overall the process was relatively smooth considering most of the ground work was taken care of over the phone with myself and husband. Everything was going great until we went to pick up the vehicle. In the vehicle listing on their website the truck we were interested in (later purchased) showed the truck having aftermarket rims on aftermarket tires (found out after these were winter tires). Upon getting there, the dealership had removed these tires with these rims and stored then in the truck bed. (Understandable as it is July). However, they put the summer/all season tires on the truck which were quite visibly worn and strangely enough only on the passenger side which doesnt make much sense (now wondering if they were even put on correctly - probably werent and werent balanced properly either as they were making horrible squeaking sounds). Didnt mention to either myself or husband that we should probably get new ones or work something out with us as to getting new tires as we later had to find out how badly the condition of the tires were graded at %20 (through a private mechanic not associated with this dealership). I understand this is a used vehicle but things should not be sold if they fail tests. To top it off, we had been even more interested in this particular vehicle as it had possessed a light bar on the front grill and was visible in MULTIPLE pictures on the listing. When we were about to drive it off the lot my husband went to turn it on to check to see if it worked before we left and it was surprisingly not there.. we made this issue aware to the sales consultant who apologised politely and told us she would look into it and consult with the previous sale manager handling our purchase. After waiting a few days to hear back on this situation the sales consultant chose to play dumb with us (as we figured someone probably swiped it for themselves when the vehicle was being cleaned or they put it on another vehicle to make it look nice for the sale). The lightbar wasnt on the vehicle after my husband showed the listing pictures with it CLEARLY on the vehicle to the sales consultant. Who replied that he didnt know what happened to it more or less or that the previous owner had taken it off when he/she traded this vehicle in to them which is laughable as they have the sticker stating which year the vehicle is just like all the other used vehicles on the lot. Just to add insult to injury he then told us we could just buy another one from them and use his employer discount. Gee, the other couple thousands of dollars we spent wasnt enough already.. keeping in mind we had to purchase $1500 tires as they wouldnt do anything to help us out after the tires failed the check inspection. Point being you wouldnt sell a house and list it with granite counter tops and hardwood flooring then take it out and put in linoleum when youre about to make the sale.. In addition, also didnt give us the canopy cover key to the vehicle and at this point we both would rather pay anyone else full price just to not to have to deal with and give them another penny..

Ive bought and sold a number of vehicles over the years so this wasnt my first rodeo. It took 15 days to get my truck I picked right off the showroom floor and yet my loan start date started 15 days prior to being in receipt of the vehicle. Sketchy right? I was told by Sherwood Park Chevrolet finance it was not an issue to switch financing after a year by just calling the bank finance setup and to just ask the bank for a lower rate based on sound history with the loan. 1.5 years later with a great history with no missed payments and great credit I decided to call the bank and they tell me that I was mislead by Sherwood Park Chevrolet finance because they dont do that. In fact, the bank representative candidly told me it is sort of the dealerships business to try to get you into a higher rate as the returns to the dealership are higher and I should have easily seen a much better rate originally. Dont be fooled! I went through private financing after this with my bank and naturally got my rates reduced to a great amount. However before doing this when I called in to Sherwood Park Chevrolet to first confront their finance department about the financing that they promised and assured me they kept trying to put me into another vehicle despite my just having bought my truck from them the previous year (2014 Silverado loaded). I outright told them to have salesmen stop calling about selling me another vehicle. The finance department that I called and asked for was messing me around and instead trying to get me into another car instead of returning my calls. That took two weeks just to get some answers out of the Sherwood Park Chevrolet Finance. The rates they came up were for a new vehicle which they had apparently applied for me to get another vehicle when I had blatantly told them absolutely not numerous times. Seriously, I feel like I should have sued them. If they try to sell you on not getting winter tires put into the package dont go for it. The stock all season tires are inadequate from my 1.5 years of driving my truck for Albertas interesting winters. Definitely opt for some winters into the deal as youll slide pretty good without. So basically if you want to get conned, someone filing applications for something you didnt ask for and random sales people harassing to buy you after you asked them to stop then go to these guys. No not one or two but three guys calling despite saying no thanks. They dont listen and they certainly dont demonstrate any integrity. Im a pretty fair person but I honestly wouldnt advise buying anything from them. If for some reason you do decide to buy a vehicle from them Id use unhaggleme online before going in to get bottom rates and using private financing so you get exactly what youre looking for rather than being mislead. If it comes to the service department I have nothing but good things to say about them. The service department is an absolute pleasure to deal with but Id definitely avoid buying a vehicle from them.
